Felt cute today after getting a refreshed color & trim! I wanted highlights with cooler tones, and Alicia did a great job! I had never been to this salon before, and everyone was so kind & accommodating ‍

I realllyyyy didn't want to do this but I feel like after the price I paid to get my hair fixed, this needs to be prevented. My regular stylist had to quite literally reconstruct my hair. I'll start off by saying that the staff were absolutely the sweetest, most down to earth people. BUT, the way my hair turned out was absolutely horrendous. Alex did my hair, she was super sweet and accommodating, but she really messed up my hair.! Below are the inspo pics and the second round of doing my hair, then pics of the result of my regular stylist fixing it. The first time around of doing my hair was WORSE than the pictures, and the pics were the final result of her fixing it. I wanted the roots to have that highlighted look but then melt into that balayage. As much as I appreciated not having to pay for the service, I was so self conscious about the way it turned out even when she tried to fix it and here's why: When Alex fixed my hair, she didn't let me speak and tell her if I liked it or not. I feel like she definitely knew the job was so bad so she tried to convince me it was good by saying things like "wow it looks so good.!", "I LOVE how these pieces turned out, like look at this dimension". Also, when I first came in she didn't do a consultation or ask me ANY questions about my hair. She simply looked at my inspo pic and said "oh yeah, okay.!" Not even walking me through the process of what she's going to do or any concerns she had about my hair. When I went to get my hair fixed at my regular salon, the stylist went through every layer of my hair to analyze it and took pics to show me. It made no sense to her, the way Alex did my hair. We saw *very harsh lines *obviously it was copper and wasnt the look we were going for *5 different shades of copper. Not brown, not beige, not auburn, but BRASSY COPPER * my stylist said the top layer's lines were so harsh it looked like my roots was a hat (IT WAS TRUE she wasn't just being mean), like a yamaka.! * there was a layer where there was a random, bright chunk of bleached hair that was lighter than the rest, AND the harsh line was DIAGONAL. So glad it was underneath the top layer. *all the different colors of my hair basically blended together making it look like one copper color when it was supposed to have some kind of dimension *it was supposed to go from dark to light but it was vise versa. *the left side of my hair was a lot lighter then the right *My regular stylist said it basically looked rushed, and honestly it felt rushed. and that was what all we gathered from the FINAL result, the "fixed" result. When I saw the result the first time around, and I told her I wasn't happy with it, she told me to come back in another day, but I work EVERY single day. I took that day off and went there as a Christmas present, and was definitely not going to go out in public looking like that. So I had to go home, and pickup my baby because my friend that was watching him had to go at a certain time, and bring him back to the salon with me which was not at all what I wanted. It was supposed to be a relaxing mommy day for me, but instead I had to chase my baby around the salon while Alex was quite literally following behind doing my hair, and while I was at the bowl, my kid was in my lap just SCREAMING. The day was not supposed to go like that AT ALL. I was so grateful that Alex was so accommodating and understanding, even bought me lunch, but it was overall a terrible, chaotic experience and I still walked out not happy with my hair. I understand that depending on the state of your hair it won't lift the way you want it to, or it'll take multiple sessions, but the technique was obviously sloppy, unprofessional looking, and rushed. I went to Lordis Loft Salon to get my hair fixed, and I highly recommend going there because they are so much more professional when it comes to doing hair, and the staff is also so down to earth and personable as well. They always achieve my desired look.

I still love this salon after all these years. They are great for every day and for special occasion hair. I also get my Oribe products here!

Ansley Peck is amazing! I came in with very grown out highlights from a different salon and Ansley worked her magic! She is so sweet and happy and seemed to love what she does. The salon is very clean and everyone I interacted with was very kind. I cannot recommend Ansley enough, I am finally in love with my hair.

Melissa is the best and was super accommodating during the mandatory salon closing due to the Covid-19 virus.

This time she was with a dofferent stylist, Rylie, who decided to do a "root smudging" treatment without informing her or telling her it would bring her total to $290 including tip. When I called to discuss the person on the phone said no one was there to remedy the situation. She said she would get back to me before the end of the day and she did not. My daughter was totally taken advantage of and this was very unethical. They advertise transparency on their website but that was definitely not our experience. Buyer beware. Very disappointed in their lack of attention to make this right. Instead a received a text saying that she consulted my daughter before doing the root smudge. Never were these words used and never did Rylie tell her this was an additional cost to whatever she supposedly did. Her hair doesn't even look different from when she went it. Crooks.

This is also due to the fact there wasn't an apology. I was at the salon from approximately 12:40 p.m. until around 8:35 p.m. the other week for a partial (halo) color service, not a full-head color. Unfortunately, the results were not what we discussed. The purple turned out blue/teal, and the black was not carried through the rest of my hair, leaving uneven brown sections and noticeable banding. My hair was also left extremely dry, damaged, and breaking off in clumps. What's crazy is that even Eden acknowledged it was blue. At that point I just wanted out of the salon. Before leaving this review, I tried to resolve my concerns privately. I contacted the salon to get in touch with my stylist, and after not hearing back, I had to find her contact information through Instagram. I reached out to her directly, and although my message was read last Friday, I never received a response or even an apology. Edit: Instead of them responding and taking accountability or communicating, they blocked me on Instagram! I also later discovered I had been filmed in the background of the salon's social media content without being informed beforehand, which made me uncomfortable. My stylist Eden was kind during the appointment, but after spending nearly eight hours in the salon and paying over $500, I expected a much higher quality result and better communication afterward. I now have to pay another salon to color my hair black and begin repairing the damage. I've been embarrassed to be outside with my hair as everyone I've shown has mentioned how bad it looks. I had spent so long getting my hair to a healthy place and now I'm having to go through this. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend paying this amount for these results or even going to Coven, and I will not be returning.
