Michelle just acted like she was disinterested in me and my haircut. She only shaved the back and wouldn't cut the split ends,give my haircut some kind of shape that I could work with or cut the sides so they were the same length. You would have thought my hair was the naughty kid in the class who came in with sloppy homework and Michelle just wanted me out of there. I was not impressed. read more

Michelle is absolutely amazing! Today was the first time I've had my hair cut in almost a year. I showed Stephanie a picture of what I wanted . The consultation was quick because she's skilled enough to know what will work and was honest enough to say what won't without being rude. Not only did she give me the best cut I've had in YEARS but it was even better than I imagined. I can style it without complications or a long time consuming process. She has a lot of 5 star reviews and after having my first haircut with her I'm sure I'll be back. She gave me good advice about whether to continue coloring my 'going grey' hair and help shape my hair to bring out a better shape and cut to bring out some natural waves and give it more movement. I love my cut!! I have long thick hair (that i have been cutting myself since Covid) and don't always leave the salon loving my cut but I think I met my match with Michelle. She listened to my wants and needs and did a great job fulfilling them. I wish I got a picture of my hair the day of because i felt like a movie star! My haircut isn't even, she took off twice as much as we agreed upon, and I was covered in little black hairs when I left (my hair is long and blonde). She was very nice and I'm sure is usually great, but I did not have that experience. I appreciate the reply, but I cannot trust the person who thought this was good and even to fix it. read more

Where do I even begin! I came to Michelle 2 and a half years ago needing a refresh on color and a cut. I am extremely picky with hairstylists after being disappointed various times. After one visit with Michelle at THairapy, I was hooked! I knew I found my permanent stylist! I had never been to such a talented, amazing and friendly hairdresser before! She listened to what I wanted, gave her much appreciated professional opinion and made my hair look so good I couldn't believe it! We bonded instantly! I trust Michelle's skill set and expertise so much, I don't even tell her what I want done! I walk in, sit down, she looks and touches my hair and gets straight to work. I have had simple trims, major 8 inch chop offs, highlights/toners, keratin treatments- I have never been unhappy walking out of her salon! She has also made my hair the healthiest it has ever been! I was in town visiting during "Hurricane (tropical storm) Irma", and actually had an appointment with another hair stylist, however she left town leaving me a day to figure out if I could find someone else to do my hair for engagement photos. I found reviews for Michelle on yelp and decided to give her a call. She was the first, and only, person I called as I could tell she would work for me. Well we had a day from hell, and we walked into Michelle's little studio and just started talking her ear off, barely introducing ourselves. She took it in stride and listened and chatted back and was friendly and welcoming. I had brought in some extensions (the one piece, she called it a "halo") and she put it in perfectly... I have yet to master it. She did exactly what I wanted with my hair, it was full and curled and I think it looked great at a reasonable price. I will upload pictures as soon as my professional ones come back, the only other one I took was my check in photo that shows a bit of it. I have had my hair done badly, so I can confidently tell you mine was awesome. It wasn't stiff, it was flowy and bouncy. The studio salon idea is so cute. It was easy to find and hers is decorated so cute and comfortable, with enough room for my fiancé to sit in there with us. Michelle is totally unprofessional and extremely unkind. I came to her with long blonde hair that was slightly over processed and had been losing a lot due to stress. I explained this to her and she proceeded to tell me multiple times how bad it looked. No helpful criticism, just that "it looks bad" over snd over. I thought the highlights came out alright after my first appointment and this salon is close to my house so I decided to try her again hoping that she was just having a bad day last time I went. Nope, within two minutes of me being in her chair she tells me, AND I QUOTE, "your hair s*cks". I again try to explain my stress and how it's been hard on my hair but she interrupts me every time to insult the quality of my hair only. I asked her if she could brush it a bit more gently and she told me "no". I was already there so I let her do the highlights but didn't speak to her for the remainder of the appt. My hair went from a lovely golden blonde (truly not as damaged or "bad" as she repeatedly told me and will post photos if she disputes this) to a light brown/dirty blonde. So now it looks bad! All thanks to Michelle. She tried to say she just cares so much about the quality of people's hair and that is why she's so mean? I was honestly not going to write a review but after repeating the story to my husband and all of my friends they encouraged me to try and save other people from this lady. If she had said my hair was dry, damaged, brittle, over processed, etc I would have agreed but no she just repeated how "bad" it looked. Cannot believe she describes her business as "thairapy"/therapy?? She did not care about me or my feelings at all. Did not ask what medical or life issues might have led to my hair loss. She is truly unkind and my hair is now nowhere close to the color I wanted. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this terrible woman at all costs! read more
