This is the target color I showed her. We agreed not to go too dark, some dimension but achieve a rich dark brown

First off I want to say I spent over $3,000.00 in the past few months in this salon. I first got introduced to Amanda because I heard good things about her. Not about the salon but about Amanda. I booked my appointment to have her take me from an auburn light brown to blonde. She did an amazing job! She was very professional patient and her work is amazing. I loved my hair. After being blonde for a few months over the summer I decided to go back to my natural color. A rich dark brown with some dimension was my goal. Amanda and my schedule did not fit well and I had to get my hair done for a wedding in california I was attending so I went to another top stylist, Cierra. She did a nice job it just needed some tweaking. I called the salon to speak to her and she was never available to discuss so the receptionist turned it over to the owner. The owner thought it would be best for me to come and see her to get the touches done and said she would not be charging me full price. I was hesitant as all I really wanted was Cierra to talk to me about the issue and help touch up my hair so I loved it. For the price you pay at that salon you expect to love your hair not just feel it ok. Cierra said come back if you're not happy we can tweek things. I felt the communication was getting out of hand and the concierge and owner were taking my call as a complaint against Cierra. It was not I just didn't love the hair extention and color. It was just ok. I needed tweaking. Keep in mind I live 50 min away and spend hours in the salon costing me time and money I should be happy. I thought why not the owner wants to see me herself I might as well try her. I was hesitant but she promised me I would love my hair. After driving one hour and sitting in the salon for 3 my hair came out light golden brown and my cut was uneven . One side longer than the other. I asked for rich dark brow with dimension but mostly rich and dark. Level 5 /6 combo. It came out light golden brown. When I text the owner she did not react well. She said she gave me exactly what I wanted . She did not and I don't think she should be the one to tell me what I wanted. She was arrogant. She would not reimburse me or take responsibility. She made it sound like I was not happy with Amanda or Cierra which is not true. A client that spends that much money in an overpriced service expects the best treatment. She will probably comment on this review in her own we are holyier than God attitude and she and her salon can do no wrong. Just taking the time to let others know to beware. I don't usually write bad review but this was really upsetting to me and very pricey. I'm old school and believe that a salon owner should be more gracious to paying clients that are unhappy. I owned and operated a salon for over 35 years I am now retired and I never treated my clients like she treated me. She was rude and condescending.

    Lived in blonde hair

I've been going to Aly for almost three years now, and she always delivers exactly what I want. She's incredible at lived-in blonde and her haircuts are just as amazing. I recently asked for a bob, and she absolutely nailed it--one of the best cuts I've ever had. I live in Virginia, and every time I visit my parents in South Carolina, getting my hair done by Aly is a must. She's talented, consistent, and truly listens. I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else! @thegallery.beautystudio @alyysbeauty

I switched to The Gallery Salon this fall and am so glad I did. The whole studio is beautiful, with tons of natural light, unique furniture pieces, and an overall clean and modern feel. My favorite stylist is Sydnee, who is newer to the field but you would never know from her work. She consistently nails it. Every time I have gone to her, I've walked out feeling like my hair is completely revived and styled for a night out on the town. She's so easy and fun to talk to. she makes me feel important, taken care of, and understood as a client. I'm lucky to have a stylist like her.

My experience as a Gallery Girl have been nothing short of amazing. The service and salon are beyond stunning and I feel like a queen when I'm there. Amanda is absolutely incredible and I can't recommend her enough! She takes so much time and care with me/my hair and pays attention to every detail. From that one extra highlight, to a few more layers, she doesn't miss a beat and cares so much. I'm so glad I found her and The Gallery and don't ever plan on going anywhere else as long as I'm living in Charleston. 10/10 recommend!!

Goodbye to my former self and a WARNING to those contemplating what I once considered a small…read morecosmetic procedure ....I just wanted to take a moment and share my story to spare someone from going through what I've gone through; the life long complications and the realization that I will be permanently disfigured both aesthetically and functionally. The face in the mirror will NEVER be the same as it was prior to January 30th nor will my soul. On January 30th: Celebrating my 40th Birthday I decided to get filler in my nasolabial folds (wrinkles between the lips and nose). Feb 1st: Incredible pain and white blanching/bluish tint. Told it was normal. Bruising. Feb 2nd: Realized what I was experiencing was skin necrosis and the tissue on the left side of my nose was dead and the cartilage was collapsing in on itself. This was from my own "gut instinct" that it wasn't bruising as I was told; the black skin was not going to "grow back". A laser treatment or IPL was not going to reshape my nose, as I was told. For the next several weeks I was shuffled to a "private" waiting room as to not let other potential clients see the damage that was done to my face. My self esteem, at an all time low, was further shattered by being hidden from plain view because the "med spa" didn't want their bottom line to be hurt. After that "follow up", where I was yet again told everything was fine and put "Aquaphore" on it; I made the decision that it was time to seek proper treatment from a competent medical professional. What followed was many months of not being able to leave my house unless it was to get my wet to dry bandages changed. The possibility of infection and further cartilage damage was my sentence to spend the next four months within the four walls of my home. In May I underwent my first reconstruction surgery. Skin and cartilage was taken from my ear to reconstruct the interior of my nose. This helped me be able to breath again (50%) from my left nostril. It was the first of many surgeries and procedures that will occupy the better part of my life. To hear the words, from a well respected facial reconstruction surgeon, that I will be permanently disfigured- was a tough pill to swallow. Yes, I made the ultimate decision to under go the procedure. However, I was never warned of the risks. I had absolutely no idea what to look for. Had I been properly informed of ALL the risks; even if they are considered rare, perhaps I would had made a more INFORMED decision. I was never given a waiver to review or sign. I never was verbally told of the dangers. I'm letting you know the risks and dangers of what some consider a small "cosmetic" procedure. If you are going to go that route; please consider going to a board certified surgeon. Someone that is familiar with the product they are injecting in your body. And if there is a complication, they are knowledgeable to be able to help you before the damage becomes permanent. The sad part, the "med spa" that did this, never once offered to pay ANY of my medical bills. Never heard from them again after the last follow up in mid February. I guess they thought I would go away and they were above the law. But doctors take a Hippocratic Oath to uphold specific ethical standards. This was not the case at Aestedispa in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Shame on you Dr. Christy Cone. I hope you don't do this to another client and hide behind your fake smile.
