Review for a Tuesday root touch up and toning down my lightened shoulder length hair: - Alexie started on time and ended on time! - totally did what I asked for, even suggested a color that made me comfortable with! - if your skin gets easily stained when it's dyed (like mine does), she is happy to prep your skin with a skin protectant. - would totally go back to her! read more

All these wonderful reviews, I wonder when they came from. I contact'ed vanity chair three times and left messages and never heard back. Probably need to be on a VIP list or something. I can't even set an appointment. read more

This review is for Jasmine- Eyelash Extensions: Jasmine is the best and I don't say that cause we share the same name. I haven't really gotten my lashes done before so the process can be weird for many, she takes effort in making sure you're comfortable and she walks you through the steps of what she's doing. You can show her pics of lashes you like or leave it up to interpretation and she produces lashes that you will fall in love with! She has specials throughout the year and you can get a whole new set for even $90 sometimes- which is really rare to find in the bay and have quality lashes. Love going to her! read more

If you're looking for a new stylist who is a blonde/extension expert or someone who can add dimension to your dark hair, stop right now and book an appointment with Mel. She's brought me from dark brown to icy blonde to brunette again and my hair always feels super healthy after. I get so many compliments every time she works her magic! She's super sweet & always has the best suggestions. She is also realistic and honest about what can be accomplished during your session. She also is an expert with long hair and will always preserve your length unless you're ready for a chop! I've also had several amazing brazilian blowouts with her, and anyone who gets brazilian blowouts knows how hard it is to find someone who is thorough and not stingy with product! read more

Melissa knows her color and takes what I want and makes it 10x better than what I can think of. I've gone copper, blond and brown with her and my hair is still healthy! read more

I couldn't let 2020 pass without taking our annual family photo. I also couldn't let them be average either! Alexie came highly recommended and I can certainly understand how and why. I called in last minute and luckily she was able to accommodate in such short notice! Being that I had a 45 minute timeframe, she most definitely worked her magic! I'm such the plain Jane but she added the right amount of sparkle and not over cake me and make me feel uncomfortable. Definitely knowledgeable in her craft and had really great tips to share for a simple pick me up on the daily. She's officially my go to for that extra glam look! read more

Really excited to have been booked with Mel serendipitously after calling the business in need of some major care to my tresses. She did an amazing job and asked me questions to ensure the color and cut were what I wanted. I went for Balayage with money piece and a mix of ash and warm tones. Also, the time flew by because she's such a great conversationalist. Book with her while you can! read more

Vanity Chair Beauty Salon GIVES ME LIFE! As a busy, professional, mother of 2, I barely get time to myself. And when I go to see, stylist and owner, Alexie Rae, I gain a little piece of myself back. I have gone in for a cut and color. Alexie lifted by faded blonde highlights to my roots, helping me ready myself for teaching and meetings. She gave me long layers which I liked when I curled it. I also went in to Alexie to get permanent eyebrows done. I know its scary. But its the BEST beauty service I've done for myself in years. Yes, it hurts but its SO WORTH IT. My brows lasted for 8 months! Go to Vanity Chair, you'll thank yourself! And Alexie, of course! read more

I love how Melissa highlights, cuts and styles my hair! This girl is an expert at blonde and does the color bright and natural just how I like it. She's always so understanding and walks you through he process, the cost and takes time to actually discuss my hair!! I recently moved to Sacramento and could not find a stylist to brighten me back up like Melissa at Vanity Chair. So instead I just make a point to schedule an appointment with her when I'm in town visiting with family in the area. Thank you Melissa!! read more

The lady who cut my hair is so rude. Not sure about her name. I wish I never even walked into this place. I had no appointment but the place had no customers. So I walked in to check if she is available. She said yes, but I wish she just said no if she didn't want to cut. She was so harsh pulling my delicate hair, I wish she cared a little more about the customer. read more

Today I had my hair done by Mel. She is great. When I called the salon she was very friendly. I had an appointment within a week. I am so happy with my hair! I have finally found the perfect hair stylist. I highly recommend Mel! read more

STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW AND GO BOOK A FACIAL WITH ALEXIE!!! I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! Alexie is the salon owner and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! Her salon has many talented stylists that always make you feel welcome when you walk into the salon. I had the best experience at this salon! My stylist, Leslie, made my hair dreams come true. I hadn't gotten my hair done in one million years so she had her work cut out for her. Even with me being super picky, she made sure I loved it, and any part that I may have wanted done differently, she made sure to make it perfect. I have posted the before and after pictures here. I had long hair all my life but every so often I cut my hair really short. I have had a stylist for years now but decided to try this place. They gave me layers which was exactly what I needed. She not only lightened the weight but it showed movement in places I never knew and VOLUME! Asian hair=bone straight hair. This year I had her to an a-line! LOVED IT! Alexie is an amazing salon owner! Vanity Chair staff made me feel comfortable, relaxed and welcomed! read more

My 13 year old has outgrown her kiddy salon. I brought her here and she loved it! Our appt was with Lexie. She was running about 15 mins late. She texted us ahead of time to let us know which I appreciated. Lexie is very friendly and made my daughter feel comfortable. She was gentle and took her time with her. The salon is new and very clean. My daughter loves her haircut and style. We will definitely be going back. read more

I finally decided to go to Alexie to do my hair and all I can say is that I should have made this decision a long time ago! She listens to my wants and needs and she gets it done! I decided to try out this salon for getting my hair done. It was damaged beyond hell from years of doing DIY hair color. Fortunately, Lexie was able to save my hair and made it look even better! The timing also couldn't have been better for my bachelorette party - compliments all around! Lexie gained my trust after this and I decided to hire her as my wedding hair and makeup artist! All my bridesmaids rendered her services as well and the results were just fantastic! They showed up on time and finished on time considering they had to do hair and makeup for a bride, 2 mothers (of bride and groom), and 5 bridesmaids. The hair and makeup lasted all night, even way after the after-party. So so so happy that we trusted her! read more

I LOVE Vanity Chair. It reminds me of the salons my mom used to go to when I was little: charming, quaint and full of personality. The ladies at this salon are fun and you really feel like you're getting your hair done by a girlfriend. My go-to gal is Samantha. I've been going to her for almost a year now, and I still cannot believe I found someone who knows exactly what to do with my hair. Samantha is as sweet as she is meticulous. The first time I sat in her chair, I knew this was someone I could trust with my color and cut, and I cannot wait to see what we'll do with my hair color for my wedding day! I should also mention that she's super on top of texts! I text her whenever I have a question or need an appointment and never did I wait longer than an hour to receive a detailed response. Check out her Instagram for samples of her amazing work. You won't regret it! read more

I had an appt with Alexie today for a trim and overall color. I had shown her pictures of the shade of red that I wanted my hair to be. She was able to get me exactly what I wanted! This was my first time getting my hair colored at a salon and she made me feel super comfortable the moment I walked in. Alexie is super friendly and very talented. Highly recommend! read more

Michelle did the makeup for my wedding and she is an excellent makeup artist that needs only to look at you before she does recreates your look. Alexie is amazing! She is actually the shop owner and aesthetician. She came to help apply makeup on the others in the bridal party. She finished the makeup daily and everyone looked flawless. Jillian is a hair guru! This place is fairly new. The girls are nice here, and I had a good experience. The owner of this place gave me a facial, and we had pretty good conversation. It was a short facial, but I was quite surprised when there was no steaming involved. Perhaps the longer facials are better. Her prices are very, very fair! I believe the facials are under $40 each, which is a steal! Don't know if I'd be back, unless I happened to be in the area and really needed a facial. Appointments would be the way to go. She books up quick. Note: the owner is young. But I admire such young entrepreneurs! read more
