It had the ideal taste and texture, from the fluffy white icing to the three layers of moist and delicious cake on the inside. In addition to cakes, Angel Bakery sells drinks like bubble tea and Vietnamese smoothies, Asian buns and pastries, and other various snacks (savory and sweet) and desserts. The prices are pretty reasonable. Angel Bakery has been around for over a decade. The place isn't much to look at, especially compared to newer Asian bakeries around metro Atlanta, but she's got it where it counts. I treated myself to three Christmas sweaters, a jumbo whoopie pie (big as a bagel!) with Christmasy sprinkles, and a ginger cookie for Hubs. I nibbled on a Christmas sweater sugar cookie and it was nice and fresh. The whoopie pie was epic! Hubs cracked up watching trying to take a bite. My husband and I have our birthdays exactly 5 years and 6 weeks apart, which means every time he hits a milestone birthday I hit one 6 weeks later. So I decided to have a combined birthday party for us both, and to see if I could design a custom cake that would reflect "145 years" (70 + 75). I had absolutely no idea what kind of cake to order. Well, Patricia could not have been more helpful! She showed me some amazing creative pictures of other cakes she had made, and I ended up designing the top of the cake to more or less match the invitations I had sent out. She was so great about the flavors! When I told her about our favorite flavors, which included key lime and raspberry, she suggested a key lime cake with raspberry filling. WOW! It was a huge hit with everyone and there was only enough left over for us to take home for one more serving each. AND it was beautiful (if you don't mind a humorous cake)!
