Definitely a dental/medical factory feel to the experience. They stopped taking my insurance and I found out after I received treatment. Supposedly I was sent an email. On two separate occasions I arrived for appointments only to be told that my hygienist was not available. Again, the office manager claimed that she, "tried to call me." I had no voice mails or missed calls on my phone. TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I understand the need to be a "for profit," business and I am sure that dentistry has a lot of competition, but the front office experience can make or break a medical/dental practice. I get the impression that neither of the Doctors there are aware of how bad their office manager is running things. I get that you stopped accepting my Delta Dental Insurance (business is business) and I did not mind paying directly and being reimbursed after filing. However, when you add on to that the fifty-fifty chance that my appointment will actually happen or that the only messages I have ever received from the practice come from an automated confirmation drone calling service, It gets to be too much. My question to the Doctors who own this practice is, do you know what your front office manager is doing to your clientele? Do you care? read more

The office is very misleading in their practice due to the fact that they are essentially a "cash pay" office. They will tell you that they will submit your claim to the insurance company yet what they leave out is that if that insurance carrier is not in network with them you may be responsible for the entire cost. That is unless you are fortunate enough to have a plan that will reimburse you for the cost but that is rarely the case in most circumstance. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) when dealing with this practice. read more

Crown Happy. When I was a patient at this practice, it felt like every time I was there for a cleaning they told me I needed a crown. I am no stranger to dental work so this was not my first rodeo with crowns, however I always felt it was a little strange how often they were telling me I needed a new one, an old filling replaced etc etc. After they made the decision to no longer take any dental insurance, I decided to finally switch to a new dentist that was in my network. Recently I broke a tooth and had to go into my new dentist to figure out what was going on. After x-rays and an exam, it turns out that one of the crowns I ended up getting from Vanguard a couple of years ago had broken. After further examination my new dentist realized that the material used for crown that broke was extremely thin for the tooth it was on and a much thicker, stronger material should have been used. This is the second crown I had gotten from Vanguard that had broken within a few years that never should have. It makes sense to me now why they pressure you to pay EXTRA for the extended warranty because they only guarantee their work for 2 years. To say I am extremely disappointed in this practice is an understatement and in hindsight I wish I had switched a long time ago. read more

I never felt as if I had to give an answer right there and now. They knew I had to think about it the decision on what needed to get done. Everyone there makes you feel so comfortable. Do Not Come This Place. Unless, you are loaded with money and you love boujee things. I spent $100,000 here In the past 10 years for nothing. Recently I had a procedure done and they forgot to put gauze in my mouth!! After 15 minutes my wife and I had to ask where the bathroom was because I was getting sick to my stomach due to the blood. Unfortunately I ended up getting sick in their bathroom. Once I came out I wasn't okay and asking for help at the front desk and they had the audacity to ignore me and continue answering phones. I noticed the prices started going up before Covid but each time I came back their office was getting fancier and fancier so it felt like all of the money I was spending was going towards making this place look nicer. After Covid, prices went up again and I know this is typical for businesses with inflation and what not but the amount of increase was rediculous and way more than usual businesses. With the amount of money I paid them if I knew this is where I would be today I would've taken out all of my teeth to begin with and had false teeth put in. But no I've spent tons and tons of money to try and fix each individual tooth for all of their bridges and crowns to fail. Be careful when they tell you they see a "shadow" on your tooth and tell you it needs to come out only if it actually hurts or else they'll rob you like they did to me. read more

Vanguard Dental stopped taking Delta Dental, my insurance company. the only notification they gave me that they no longer accepted my insurance was by email. I can only assume the email went to SPAM since I never received it. I scheduled my son's cleaning and was never verbally told they no longer took my insurance. In fact they suggested I get a full set of XRays . Again but telling me they didn't take my insurance. Obviously profit not patients are their priority. read more

My teeth feel like new after she cleans them. Smooth and soft like a baby's. I look forward to my cleanings with Candice!!! I accompanied my friend to this dental office since she was in a lot of pain. I was impressed that they had their full facility running even on a Sunday. We were attended by Dr. Balani who was professional and clear with his treatment plan. He didn't try to over-sell his treatment plan and explained in very basic language the issues my friend had. In fact, I realized they don't even charge any special rates for weekend hours. Everyone in the office was courteous and willing to help. I wish I could have given them more stars. read more

I have been going to Vanguard dental for about 7+ years now and I couldn't be happier! I was very unhappy with my old dentist, which lacked any professionalism & updates in the office or equipment it seemed, since 1975 or so. The staff at vanguard are very upbeat and friendly. The office is beautiful and always very clean. The hygienists make you feel welcome and comfortable. I've even almost fallen asleep in the chair getting a cleaning & I am so relaxed. The payment plans are great if you have no insurance, like myself. I highly recommend Vanguard for all your dental needs! read more

Got a call 30 minutes before appointment cancelling. My time is just as important as yours!

After initially moving into the area, I was in search of a dentist with which to schedule a routine examination. Vanguard looked professional and their staff was courteous on the phone, so I scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival at the office, I was walked to the back and introduced to the hygienist by a front-desk staff who related all of my personal information. It felt like a political fundraiser, not a dentist appointment. Once the exam began, everything seemed to be proceeding as normal. A thorough set of x-rays were taken, and the hygienist performed the exam. The result was a diagnosis...by the hygienist, mind you, not the dentist...of a serious condition that required a significant...and, you guessed it, quite expensive...procedure. Not to worry, though, once the Really Expensive Procedure was completed, they were sure I would be in good shape. The dentist simply entered the room to poke around for a moment and agree with the hygienist. He was barely out of the room before someone was in to discuss a payment plan with me. The really frustrating part was that no cleaning was performed. They wouldn't move forward with a routine cleaning at all unless the Really Expensive Procedure was performed. And, of course, they made sure to emphasize all of the horrible medical implications that could result from not undergoing said Really Expensive Procedure. I left quite frustrated. Then I did some research. I could identify almost none of the symptoms that accompanied the condition with which I had been diagnosed. Fortunately, I have a family member who is a dentist, so I had the exam records forwarded to him for review. He concluded that there was no basis for their diagnosis. Since then, I've gone to a different dentist. I told this dental office the diagnosis that had been rendered. They, too, found no justification for the diagnosis. Oh, and they performed a cleaning. My conclusion from this is that Vanguard Dental Group is much more interested in profiting from Really Expensive Procedures, whether they are necessary or not, than they are about providing good dentistry. Their office looks nice, but the surface polish conceals an approach to dentistry that is all about business, not about patient care. I certainly won't be returning. read more
