Wonderful dumplings. Juicy and delicious ! Ordered a few different options, including chicken and veggie and all pan fried. I will be getting a catering from here and we have definitely decided on getting a few trays from Vanessa's! Definitely recommend!

The dumplings here are so delicious and flavorful. The food is good, the seating areas are kind of clean, and the staff was helpful. I had the basil and chicken fried dumplings and the wontons with spicy sauce with shrimp and chicken. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the wontons with spicy sauce with shrimp and chicken. The ginger honey iced tea was so good. I will be getting it when I come back. The only reason it's 4 stars is because the tables were dirty. They didn't have enough staff to help customers and clean tables once people left. Hopefully it will be cleaner next time.

Glad I got a chance to give them a try and need to revisit and order other than dumplings next time. Nice friendly layout and staff and good selection of fried and steamed dumplings. Unusually served in tin trays they come out fresh and mostly hot or warm. Easy to eat with the supplied chopsticks they seemingly melt in your mouth. My sampler order allowed me to know next time which concoction I should order more of. Not disappointed with them at all

A great alternative to Din Tai Fung without all the hassle. The beef noodles were so satisfying on a cold winter day: tender pieces of beef so flavorful with a peppery broth and vegetables. I asked for the noodles on the side not too soft and they didn't do a good job of not cooking the noodles too much. Even though the noodles were on the soft side, I was hungry and ate the whole bowl. I also got some frozen dumplings to go, which I cooked later in my house. I also bought the cucumbers and kimchi. All worth the money.

Always a solid spot. Appreciate they are vegetarian/vegan friendly. Usually get it for delivery because vibes are eh in-store.

Used to be on E 14st in manhattan, I ordered the Boiled Chicken and chives dumplings...the color looks different last time I ordered them. A bit water . And chewy. The kitchen is in da back. W/ The cashier in front of them .. you can order through the kiosk or at the cashier! It's definitely more expensive for the food here ! There is plenty of space here for small groups to seat at! The have hot and soy sauce at the tables w/ napkins! Not to worry here .. next time I should get the fried Dumplings which is probably there best option here.

This was a somewhat disappointing experience. We have been hearing great things about this dumpling spot so we thought we'd try it out. Food: The dumplings were okay. I found them to be under seasoned and they tasted somewhat premade which was sad. We've been to so many dumpling places so this just felt disappointing. The dumplings were also colder than they should have been, we dined in, so that didn't make sense. The dumplings dough was also very thick so the filling taste didn't come through that well. We tried their steam bun, it's pretty big but there was way too much bun and not enough filling. I had to take at least 3-4 bites before I got to any part of the filling. The only food item I enjoyed was the sesame veggie pancake sandwich. It came out hot and tasted like it was made fresh. The crust was perfectly cooked and crispy and the filling was the perfect amount. Price: Our total for 2 dumplings, 1 bun, and 1 sandwich came out to more than $50. This just felt high especially for such a casual spot. Ambiance: The place is a more grab and go spot. They do have tables there so you can sit and eat if you like. You order at the counter and pick up your food and then can use the tables.

I had always been meaning to try this place, and I finally got the chance when my boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat on St. Patrick's day. Since all of the Irish pubs we wanted to try were full to the brim, we went here and had an absolutely fantastic dinner... the meal was totally superior to all that greasy pub fare (on their busiest day of the year) in terms of quality, price, and flavor!! We got three orders of fried dumplings to share: pork and chive (white), chicken and basil (pink), and vegetable (green). All three were ready literally in seconds; as soon as we sat down in a booth we immediately stood back up to get them at the counter. Also the true sign of a legitimate dumpling house... the dark soy and vinegar dipping sauce on the tables in repurposed sriracha bottles!! The dumplings themselves were exactly what I was craving. Both of us gobbled up the classic pork and chive, but honestly my favorite was the chicken and basil dumpling. That flavor combination was really delicious, and the subtle taste of ginger in it made me nostalgic for one of my favorite childhood meals- that chopped up roast chicken and green sauce you get at Chinese markets. The vegetable dumpling, while not as juicy or addictive as the meat filled varieties, was a great taste of veggie stir fry in a delicious little bite. Needless to say I grabbed a takeout menu. We are totally going to be back!!!

Good place in the area if you're craving an assortment of dumplings. Lots of combos available, both pan fried and boiled. Freshly made, prepared quickly, just enough seating available inside. Overall the dumplings were subpar in flavor. Chili oil container costs $1, which wasn't spicy or salty enough, overall bland. The sesame pancake with pork was the best, super tender meat, fresh cilantro and carrots on toasted bread.

Delicious dumplings! I got the pork and cabbage dumplings and then got another order for the mixed dumplings. I also liked the scallions and noodles. The interior is clean with a small selection of seating. The staff were kind and the food was ready quickly. Highly recommend here for some delicious food especially quickly!

Homemade Noodle with Sesame and Peanut Sauce

My first visit and no complaints. Food is incredibly fresh, and the peanut sauce on the homemade dumplings has a lovely gravy-light texture. The noodles are a texture-heaven balance of firm and light. Vanessa advertises her dumplings, of which the chicken and basil was yummo. The dough is just slightly doughy and the amply filled. Service was polite and timely given that I ordered hot noodles with the dumplings and the tables clean. Only 2 people when I walked in but by noon the place was bustling with walking and takeout. I'm no expert on dumplings or noodles but I had a very satisfying meal. My first bubble tea. Oh the creaminess of the coconut milk. Wowza!

My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. The place was pretty busy at 10:00 PM last Saturday, with a wide range of diners, which is good for business. The food though, at least that night, was really disappointing. My friend had the chicken dumplings. He said they were okay. I thought they were overcooked. My steamed shrimp shumai were fine, but steamed, they didn't have much flavour. The edamame, on the other hand, had way too much when it should have almost none. I don't know if it was excess salt, MSG or something else, but not good. I should have sent them back. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen.

The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

Onto the mains and I ventured towards their Spicy Drunken Noodle (my go-to whenever I'm hitting a Thai restaurant on my home turf) and... yeah, you probably guessed it - incredible. Not the biggest portion but they made every single component sing with flavor. With so much going on - of course I needed to indulge with another drink (hey, I wasn't driving!). There were six of us, it came to about $100 a person... welcome to NYC. But we did get a wide selection of plates/food and those two drinks accounted for about $40 of my tab.
