Bad Experience! After having so many issues with my Brand New Honda Odyssey, the only help that the Indian manager was to upsell another brand new vehicle. General Manager also wont bother helping. Apart from asking me to come back several times just because the parts that should be replaced haven't arrived yet, other electrical issues that were supposed to be fixed before keeps on bugging me like the start up button that wont work, auto on/off switch, etc. Just avoid this dealership and planning to trade-in my Odyssey to other dealership soon... read more

2016 civic AC under extended Honda Canada warranty, went to Van Honda, charged me $60 to diagnose, wanted another $500 as couldn't remove refrigerant... I paid $60 went to open road Honda next day, no issues, didn't charge me a penny as diagnosis and repair under warranty, within hours done ... so $500 was fraudulent attempt - even asked my local mechanic who had a good laugh and said that's what they are known for. Hello , am student here and i went to honda just to view crv and new honda civic. There was this person Muzher Mohammed. We were 4 people he took all my information and his way was not good of asking things. I was literally pissed off and when i asked him can i see car than he was also not showing us he showed us after so many more questions and when the time of test drive he took my liscence and done all formalities and said me that he can't give me test drive. After all this he was questioning at my personal level that you will not be able to pay for crv students first buy and than dont pay for the cars. I have bought a brand new Honda Fit from this dealership couple years ago I still remember when I bought the car in for service it was just about 30000 km on its mileage the service rep told me I had to do a wheel alignment to keep this car in the top shape. And it was still under warranty but somehow I end up have to pay 500 something to get it done, I wasn't too impressed and recently I took my fit back for a recall service on front wheel rob or something the service guy recommended me to do a wheel alignment again. With extra part replaced. Fine by me. So I got it all done. And I have notice my steering wheel is a little bit tile to the left but not noticeable obviously I have complained about this and tech from this dealership took a look with just test drive on it. And call it all good. Fine by me. I thought maybe it was me too sensitive but when it comes to the winter time i took my car in for seasonal tire change in kaltire and kal tire tech told me 2 of my tires are completely worn to the fiber expose part the tire is unserviceable to drive on the road. I was so pissed because I know wheel alignment is not perfectly straight But it's already more than 6 months from last service from this dealership I just have to eat the bullet with new set of all season tire when it comes to spring time. Not necessarily "I've experienced better", more that I "expected" better. So here is the scenario. I bought used 2008 Mercedes from Vancouver Honda. it is important to note that this car was advertised as having the remainder of its factory warranty in tact until June 31, 2012. It had been a trade in and happened to be exactly what I was looking for. Long story short, before I bought the car a warning popped up on the dash board. "A1 service due in 10 days." For those who don't know, Mercedes have a regular maintenance schedule and the on board display will let you know when that maintenance should take place. So I mentioned it to the sales person. I was told that the car had been checked out by them, and that check would include anything that would be required by the A1 service. Which I believed it would. So I bought the car with the expectation that the warranty requirements would have been met. When I called later on to require a breakdown of the inspection report I was told that Mercedes have to be services at a certified Mercedes service centre in order to ensure the warranty remains intact. I asked the dealership to cover the cost since they sold me the car with the indication it would have the remainder of the factory warranty, not that the car would have the remainder of the factory warranty if I immediately took it to Mercedes for service (which costs about $470 after taxes). This is the response I wanted: "yes, this car did indicate that it will require service prior to us selling it to you, so we will cover the cost." This is the I got from the General Manager: "We appreciate your business, but we cannot help you." (which essential boils down to "Your problem, not ours") To me that was kind of unprofessional. As far as I'm concerned they knew full well that they should have addressed the service request prior to selling the car, but I think they were just happy to have the a higher end used vehicle out of their inventory to make room for their typical, easier to sell stock. Ideally I would like to update my review to say that Vancouver Honda has taken the initiative to contact me and resolve this issue. I was cheated I brought a preowned CRV , yesterday before the payment was done , everyone was very helpful. When I was ready to drive away , they only had one key and could not find the second one. I called them later in the sales person and reminded him for second keyboard, he promised talk to manager. Called them the following day the whole attitude changed, the worst was the manager who was very unprofessional and rude , he told me if I wanted the second key , I will have to purchase it. I came here to look at a used Mercedes. I wish I had read the reviews on Yelp before I went as everything that has been posted I experienced. The car was advertised as having a 150 point inspection and after test driving it, it clearly had not been done. The dash came up with a warning of tire pressure needed to be checked as well as the battery on the key was low so couldn't use the push button start. The sales person didn't know much about the car as he wasn't able to answer any of my questions. I was interested in buying the car so went into the office to negotiate the price. We were in there for less than 10 mins, and we were about $750 out in what we wanted to pay. The salesman asked his manager, last name of Lee. He came over to us and basically told us we were lying about an offer we had been made at a different dealership who was selling a similar car, then said he wasn't going any lower and thanks for coming by and walked off. He was very arrogant and rude. Clearly wasn't interested in our business. What was upsetting about this experience was that he was very dismissive and rude. I'm so glad that that there is Yelp to be able to post this type of behaviour. I definitely won't be coming back here to buy any car from this dealership. read more

Been giving this dealer benefit of the doubt and chances to like this place. But I really don't understand how swapping on snow tires, getting an alignment and an oil change takes 4 hours. I watched on and saw my car remain in the same parking stall where I parked it for the first 2 hours. When my car was finally ready, I asked the service advisor why my car took 4 hours. When I dropped my car off it was a scrambling mess trying to find me a ride. They mentioned they could get me a shuttle to work but would have to find my own way back. Are you kidding?? Finally they provided a vehicle for me to use. I got into the honda civic and looks like 5 dogs rolled around in the car. Gas tank had 35 km till empty and gas light on. What a joke!!!. I had to actually put gas in to borrow this car. Yesterday may 31 2018 I recieved another recall for the battery and the receptionist called me. I asked if I could use a car while I take more time out of MY day for another recall. She asked who was my advisor? I said the only times I've used this dealership is for your recalls so I dont have a regular advisor. She then passed me through to someone in service. My name is Steve and I recently purchased a used 2004 BMW 645Ci Coupe from Vancouver Honda on 850 SW-Marine Dr. Vancouver. I am a Christian Family Man with a wife and 5 beautiful children to which has been taken advantage by Victor Wong (sales rep) and John Lee (General Sales Manager). After signed paperwork to which clearly verifies the Dealership's Multi-Point inspection solidifying the Mechanical & Structural Safety of this vehicle, my wife and I had our BMW delivered to our home (by Victor Wong, our sales-rep) in Abbotsford because we needed to pick up our children from school. We insured the vehicle for ONLY that one day in order just get it in our driveway with NO intention to further insure until Summer-time. One week later I decided to take advantage of a clear-skyed day and wash our BMW so that we may put a newly bought Coupe Car-Cover on it while it sat in our carport for a few months,,,, only to find a 3ft by 3ft TROIL-RIDDLED area under the car of where the sales-rep parked it on the day of Dealership Delivery. I immediately phoned Vancouver Honda and talked to GENERAL SALES-MANAGER "JOHN LEE" in order to surface awareness as to this substantial issue in hopes to have him acknowledge and/or even make effort to investigate/rectify the problem. Astonishingly, JOHN LEE was immediately in denial, responding with a lack of sympathy and extreme ignorance. He stated that this was no longer his problem and that even though I have not had a chance to drive (let-alone Insure) the vehicle since my purchase, JOHN LEE (General Sales Manager) did not care!!! I Good night believe my ears Nor could my family understand why a certified dealership would do this to a low income family! He even had the audacity to suggest I bring it to their shop at the dealership Vancouver on the and he would give me 20% off any mechanical disruption that needed to get repaired!!???? I Decided to phone "The Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia" So that I may be properly advised to my best course of action. I learn to realise this dealership was in breach of a blanket bindind-contract ("SALE GOODS ACT") to which protects people against being taken advantage of by any dealership when the safety and mechanical structure of any vehicle that they certify and sell as used DO NOT meet the pertinent guidelines/requirements of the VSA!!!! They advised me to make one last (IN-PERSON) attempt to have them make good on thier own accord without the VSA initiating a "LEGAL COURSE OF ACTION"! So I ensured the vehicle for one day only to drive straight to Vancouver Honda and make my final plea, in hopes that JOHN LEE, GENERAL SALES MANAGER) would concede to making things right and NOT CAUSE ANY FURTHER GRIEF TO ME AND MY FAMILY. Unortunately his ignorance and lack of empathy to say the least remained! I was asked to leave the dealership and decided to call the vehicle sales authority of British Columbia back while outside of the dealership inside the BMW, VSA asked me to go back in and ask one final question of whether they wanted to at least look at the vehicle within their mechanic shop, or still have me leave knowing that the vehicle is unsafe for the road...... It was only once I indicated my correspondence with the VSA that Vancouver Honda (JOHN LEE) decided to accept (with great reluctance, I might add)! Another argument about a courtesy-vehicle surfaced when I was told (VERBATIM), "I DONT BELIEVE WE HAVE ANY COURTESY CARS AVAILABLE", and I responded " NO, I BELIEVE (AS A DEALERSHIP) YOU HAVE MANY AVAILABLE COURTESY VEHICLES,,,,,,WHAT YOURE TRYING TO SAY IS THAT YOU DONT HAVE ANY COURTESY VEHICLES AVAILABLE FOR ME!!", only as I started to vacate the premises that JOHN LEE (GSM) somehow found an available courtesy-car for me! NOW ITS BEEN A FEW DAYS LATER AND STILL NOT EVEN A DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS?????? I HAVE INITIATED A LEGAL COURSE WITH THE VSA BY MY SIDE, FILED COMPLAINTS WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, CIVIL RESOLUTIONS TRIBUNAL, AND VSA-ONGOING. Came back on Sunday, worked with Nadia and Jay, and drove home in our new beauty. I don't know if I'm more angry or disappointed. I was debating between a 2013 accord or 2013 fusion so I decided to visit this dealership to see if I can test drive the vehicle to help better make my choice. It was in the afternoon in the midweek and I was working from home, as a result, I was wearing jeans and black t-shirt. I was the only person in the showroom besides the staffs working there. I was checking out the accord sedan inside the showroom for 5 minutes or so until a sales person walked over and said hi. I did my research on the car already and asked if they have the EX-L or Touring model i4 available for test drive. The saleperson looked at me and ask when one specifically I wanted. I replied that whichever one is available since the only difference was the nav and some gadgets and all I wanted was to see how the car drives. He then told me he doesn't have any available because they're all sold out. I then proceeded to asked if they have any other trim levels available at all for me to test out the car. The sales person replied in a dismissing tone, saying they they don't have any because it's such a popular car that people buy the demo as soon as they test drive it. I said thank you and left the dealership. I was suspicious that a large central dealership would not have a single demo of one of they best selling car available. I'm an acocunting professional but I was dressed casually and have a young looking face. To test whether the sales person was lying to me I went to their website and sent a demo request for a 2013 accord last night. Received an email this morning asking if I am availble today to demo the car... About a week ago I bought a pre-owned vehicle (not a Honda) from this Dealership. Everything was easy and the team was pleasant to work with. Maybe 5 days after buying the vehicle and doing minor driving, I found my headlight to be burnt out. After contacting the Dealer, I am being told that the bulb can't be replaced by them because only mechanical is covered by warranty and not lights. Lights are a minor fix on the vehicle and it leaves a good impression on the customer if the Dealer is willing to make the fix, especially when the purchase was so recent. Instead it is looking like I have to go to the original manufacturer and spend $400 to have this handled. Service during the transaction was great and accommodating, I just wish there would be a bit more support on this follow up request for some help with a light bulb. read more

I went in today to replace my passenger side airbag due to the recall, and I explicitly told the service desk that I do NOT need a complimentary car wash, please do NOT wash my car. Guess what , they did anyways and now my once beautiful BLACK Honda accord coupe is full of swirls. I asked them not to wash it because I knew they wouldn't wash my car as gently and properly as I would have myself, yet, they did it anyways against my wishes. Salesperson was great showing me the new HR-V but the manager was a totally different story. While trying to explain why it takes a while for the Mexico-built HR-V to arrive in his dealership, he assumed I'm new to this country and actually suggested to me our capital is Toronto. For him it might be a funny, candid comment but to me it's uncalled for and showed a total lack of respect for a potential customer. Just walked in casually and they had couple of used cars but it was very evident that they had no interest in selling it to me... I like to do my car service there and visit my nice old colleagues. :) But when I called to make an appointment I was put on hold for long time 3 times in May. A gentle suggestion: setup a clerk to pick up phone and collect payment, separating service consultant agents from these duties so they can focus on in-store customers. If they are too busy to pick up phone the store won't get as many as appointments. read more

The workmanship of the mechanic technician on Honda (Marine Dr) is poor. I took my snow tires there to install but they didn't notice the tires were two different model/brand. They installed on my vehicle anyway. Lucky my daughter found out, I contact their service manager and file a complaint. He didn't make an effect to correct the mistake on the same day that I have to make another appointment the next day. I ended up taking the tires to Kal Tire to reinstall them. read more

Worst experience I had after being in Vancouver for 22 years! Dishonest staff (Norman), bad service, weak supervisor. I went there for 5 times to get one issue fixed! 1. They look at the issue and said need to order part to get it fixed. After a week, no reply, I sent inquiry email, no reply. 2nd week, I called, they said the part arrived weeks ago. I filed a complaint, Joe told his supervisor that he asked me to called to check the status (lying!), supervisor told me that I put him in a difficult situation :( 2. I went, the mechanic said they can't fix the issue. Staff said I have the option to buy the part and ask other mechanic to fix 3. I check the situation with another mechanic, it's okay, so I went back for the part after few days. Staff said it was sold :( I ordered again. 4. They just let it go off over and over and over again. In other dealerships I've been to, all the alarms are turned off so people can touch the cars and or get inside without it going off. One week ago I went to vancouver Honda to look at new Honda Pilot . I looked at a black coloured model in the show room. I proceeded with a salesman and the sales manager in my discussions. My interest was to purchase one in dark gray. I was told there was nothing available in gray and given the idea one could not be ordered. I somewhat reluctantly ordered the black one on the floor. I left a $2,000 deposit . Three days later I viewed the same car in gray on craigslist advertised by vancouver Honda . When taking my wife to view the car I purchased , she did not like it so I asked to cancel the order. They would not return my deposit. I asked to share the deposit and return half which they refused. Presently I am out $2,000 which I will continue to try to recover. read more

Had my car stolen, found, and sent to Honda to get new keys and fobs. I was told they were ready for pick up, but when i got there they told me they were not ready. I go back for the second time, and was charged for the amount that exceeded ICBC's coverage ($100) I received my 2 keys and 2 fobs, and when tested 1 of the keys and both fobs did not f***** work... They casually told me,"Oh the key must have been cut wrong.." My frustration began.. how can a company charge consumers for defective products that lack any significant function and tell me to come pick them up? Now for the fobs...this is what they said. "Yea we know the fobs don't work, there is something wrong with your car 's lock system, but ICBC authorized us to make 2 keys and 2 fobs, and here they are" EVEN THOUGH THEY DON"T WORK. The man's lack of reasoning for his poor explanation made me realize Honda's poor customer service. I refused to take his explanation, so I drove home to get my old fob to test if the lock system was truly "broken" or if Vancouver Honda was blatantly LYING. We come back, and the old fob worked. Mr. Service Manager frantically goes into the shop and disappears for 10 minutes. He comes back with the explanation " We checked your car and there's an extra security thing and we can't make new fobs because the computer wont let me. so here is the newly cut key. We are done here, goodbye" So... was it the lock system that was broken? or was it the extra security in my car?... If i did not PROVE that my lock system was fully functioning.. I would have been stuck with 2 fobs that again DID NOT WORK. now I have 2 keys, and no new fobs (returned them obviously) COMPLETE waste of time. The guy was trying to make me settle for useless products. 3 hours total commute back and forth, very unprofessional, and careless. Would give 0 star if I could. read more

When I come in for an oil change for my under warranty car I don't really expect a fancy car wash. But when you offer it, and then charge 109 dollars for the same oil change that Richmond Honda advertises for 49 dollars, and then you take 2.5 hours for that twenty minute oil change, well then yes I will take that car wash and it better be sparkly clean. I guess I should have just read the other reviews first. This place and their service has sucked from the day I bought my car. I'm starting to see that this is the case with any place that has a Dilawri sign in front of it. I will not be going back and I'm going to suggest that no one else does either. read more
