We walked in knowing which truck we wanted and they provided us with the carproof report, recent servicing documents, licence plates, on-site financing (selecting the best rate from a range of lenders) and on-site insurance - the insurance rep Aaron explained in great detail how to obtain discounts from ICBC as well as pricing variables to obtain a desired coverage plan. All follow up questions were answered in a timely manner. We purchased the 5 year extended bumper to bumper warranty covering mechanical breakdown which is optional although I'm not sure it was necessary as our vehicle was a 2013 model with low kms. A very painless walk-in walk-out experience. But what makes this dealer great is the after-sales service. We accidentally locked ourselves out (stupid I know) but our Sales rep Nicole answered our call after hours and got back to us with a number to call for roadside assistance. Turns out our car was still covered for roadside assistance with the Chrysler 5 year/100,000km roadside assistance with FCA Canada which covers lockouts - within an hour or so we were back in. Our oil change warning came on not long after we purchased the truck even though the oil filter and oil was changed recently. This was probably because you can't disable the warning until it is activated so we looked up the manual to turn it off. Even so, their on-site mechanic had a look at the dipstick and said it looked fine and did offer to assist us with a service/check which we opted not to. Additionally we were able to obtain discounts for winter/all season tires through their supplier. Improvements: Would have loved a discount on the car as we did pay more than the market rate according to Canadian Black Book, especially since we put some money down. Lucky for them the vehicle was exactly what we were after and we didn't push too hard for a discount. Would recommend knowing the black book value before signing contract. Our car is able to have navigation installed with UConnect. Would have loved it if it had come with navigation installed or if they could have offered to install it for free to save the hassle. We recently purchased our fourth vehicle from Budget Sales. Ever since our first purchase about six years ago, our sales associate, Shawn Jamieson, has kept in touch - through his newsletters filled with up to date market information and interesting trivia as well as friendly phone calls should a vehicle show up in his lot that he thinks we might like, or simply just to say "hi". We recently bought a car at Budget Car Sales in Marpole. They were friendly, knowledgable, and got us a fair price on the vehicle we wanted - in our budget! I would recommend this dealership to anyone because since all the cars on their lot are in excellent shape you will be safe with whatever you chose. We kind of wandered on to their lot (you are supposed to make an appointment) and they were easygoing and welcoming from the start. We dealt with Mani Arora and Shawn Jamieson, both straightforward and no-nonsense. They were extra-communicative with phone calls etc, which can be helpful, but when we told them this was going to be a long slow process on our baby's schedule they totally got it and cooled off - they are both family men so they understood our situation. The other dealerships we went to were very pushy in comparison. Budget has 1st pick of ex-lease cars, so when Mani said "we don't have any bad cars here", I believed him. We took the car we were interested in to our independent mechanic, and he raved about the amazing condition the car was in, inside, outside and especially under the hood. This really put us at ease that we were not going to get stuck with a lemon, no matter which car we chose, and it helped us plan a realistic budget since we knew there would be no hidden surprises. Mani showed us some other cars in our budget and car class but I think he knew right away which one was right for us although he never pushed it. I purchased a new-to-me vehicle through BCS in December of 2020. I knew I wanted a new vehicle for a while but I didn't know where to start and who to trust. I had a budget I had to stick to and very specific needs. I had narrowed it down to a handful of models and was interested in possibly using my current vehicle as a trade-in. I had a number of different makes/models in mind to check out but given that it was during COVID, I really didn't want to have to go to car lots that only sold one make of vehicle. The staff was incredible from the lady who did my insurance (on staff) to the two salesmen that helped me, the business people (and yes there were 3 working to get me a great deal) who helped finance the car, Dean who found me a mat that was missing and a second key, the manager who brought me the ipad2 as a mother's day gift for buying that weekend. I did not feel suffocated at all and did not get phone calls at all bothering me. Just bought a used Fiat after working with Greg Ginter. This is the fifth car from Budget and it's always the same experience.
