It's been a week since our chosen delivery date has passed, as this local Placentia store states they didn't have anyone to assemble our grill in time for that date. (They didn't call to inform us of the delay, we had to call the store to inquire ourselves.) We spoke to Mike, who told us the assembler would be in the next Wednesday and that the grill would be delivered that Friday. The best they could give us was a delivery window of 12-4pm, so my husband stayed home from work to wait for the delivery. He called the store to make sure it was coming that day, and the store representative confirmed that yes! it was coming and the delivery guy had already left the store en route with grill. Turns out the delivery guy didn't come. My husband called the store AGAIN and they then told us that we're now scheduled for Sunday. Great... now we get to waste Father's Day waiting around at home for our delivery. Our delivery date has now changed 3 times! Why even give the customer the opportunity to choose a delivery date if you can't honor their choice?? Why are the people answering the phones at this local store so clueless and incompetent?? All they've done is give us the runaround. All my future business will be going to Home Depot or Lowe's from now on!! This place has done nothing but waste our time. Ended up buying roundup in a Hudson sprayer type of bottle with a pump and spray nozzle. Along with a refill concentrate bottle of Ace brand weed killer to add some of to the roundup making a higher concentration solution. I've been shopping here for over 25 years, before they opened this location they used to be located off Santa Ana canyon, west of weir canyon in the festival center. Which was confusing and on top of that the order of the tickets were not being honored. It was very disappointing. Did they get Needohs yes, but was this event also unorganized and not well thought out 100%. I get that things happen and in cases like this people will be disappointed. It's also okay for Ace Hardware to admit, yeah we messed up. A side note, the Needohs were up priced, they were about $12.99 and the quality of the Needohs were not that great. A lot of inconsistencies and then looking into it more they aren't on the retailer list. All of these things can just be small mistakes and that is all fine but the event itself just seemed unorganized. Not the best experience. I proceed to walk up to the key counter and waited for assistance. This rude scolding service person walked up and said I should have pushed the button on the counter. I proceed to say that two key service calls had already been called through the intercom. Then the entire interation experience was so uncomfortable I could hardly wait to leave the store. Soil can often be messy, with bags ripped open, etc. And after a rain, it's even worse. The rows and pile of bags almost look like they were cleaned off. The garden center doesn't have self-checkout (thankfully), and the person who checked us out was super friendly and helpful. They had brown paper to lay down in the car right by the cashier, which is a nice touch.

This guy was struggling to get a single word out, and when he didn't understand my question, he went to get help. When he left, he didn't say, "Let me find someone who can help you." He just walked away, leaving my mom and me standing there. I got kind of embarrassed because this guy had just blown us off, but my mom (an angel) reminded me to cut him some slack because this was probably his first job. He came back a minute later with an even younger guy and left without another word. The new guy he brought said, "Hey, this is my first day. I don't know anything about this," and just walked 10 feet away and started chatting with another coworker. I'm 30 years old. I remember a time when you could walk into Home Depot and there would actually be competent people there to help you. This is just another example of the declining standards in this country.

I've always liked Lowe's, and we came here specifically for some fall flowers. Not necessarily fall colors, just some color for the patio. We saw some plants we liked, but most were already fully bloomed. They were pretty, but we wanted something that would last a little longer. We did find one plant we liked and were going to buy, along with some soil, but the soil bags were so dirty we didn't want to touch them. The bags on top appeared ripped, soil was all over the place, and you could tell they hadn't been cleaned since the last rain. Since we like to get everything in one place, we left and went to another "home" store closer to home, found exactly what we wanted, and even found a healthier plant. I'm not giving up on Lowel's, as they had some bathroom vanities I liked for when that remodel happens, but it was a little disappointing. Oh, did I mention they have clothes? Weird!

This practice is highly unethical and potentially more severe. For customers, it is imperative that you do not permit any employee to operate the self-checkout machine without your express consent. You are entitled to complete your transactions with privacy and without being misled into applying for credit. Do not allow them to interact with the screen unless they explain their intended actions and you provide consent. To management, I respectfully request that you cease promoting this particular practice. It is unethical. Please discontinue this behavior. Note also that Home Depot often utilizes an automated response system for addressing issues on Yelp across numerous stores. The reply is nearly identical on all low-rating posts and requests the user to allocate additional time and visit a disguised URL. This does not constitute customer service nor is it appropriate in this context. However, neither is attempting to manipulate customers into applying for credit!

This store must really get hit with thefts. I came here for one item. 7 piece metric crow feet fare…read morenit. I need 15mm for a tight space job. But the rest will come in handy in the future. Only one was in stock. But some low life thief took out the 17mm . I noticed that there were other tools that were stolen out of packaging. A great example is the rubber gasket inside water nozzle. My friend pick up a $3.99 water nozzle and was about to put it in cart. I noticed that half of them were missing the rubber gasket that seals the water connection when the hose is connected. So I put it back and found her one that had rubber gasket inside. So be careful when you buy an item from here. Because some thief probably took what they want and closed packaging . Store employee was helpful and offered me 20% off the tool with missing 17mm. But I decided against it and went to La Mirada location, I did however buy stubby tools and a bunch of HF bags.
