I thought I give this location another chance. The past visits were below average. I ordered and paid for two simple products online to pick up. When I arrived to a near empty store I approved a staff member standing around not doing anything. He directed me to talk to the cashier already helping a guess with another issue. I eventually got to speak to the cashier who said my order was cancelled because it was not available. When I ordered the two items, there were four available. My order was confirmed for pick up. When I asked the staff (only one staff could be found helping customers) he told me to check a specific isle. There was not anything that resembled what I was looking for on that aisle. I found a second person standing around, not helping anyone, and asked him what isle I might find what I'm looking for. He told me the isle number and as I got to the isle, he later told me another isle number. I eventually found what I was looking for on the endcap. It was the exact items I ordered, and just like the website said, there were 4 on hand. I know each store is independently owned. My experience at many ACE hardware stores around the Country have been very positive. The staff at many of the stores were very well trained, had great customer service and were very knowledgeable. This store was not one of them. Another unfortunate experience. I think all they need is to hire experienced and knowledgeable employees. If they can't do that, I think staff training would be valuable. I think I'll avoid the headache and go to the ACE stores I know, trust and have confidence in.

In this place you'll find yourself with new ideas and projects popping up in your mind on every isle you walk down. It's like an AMAZON Hardware Store in real life right in front of your eyes and everything is right there on the shelf ready to buy with no waiting. If your arms fill up with new project solutions and you forgot what you actually came in for, you can ask anyone in the store if they have the item and they'll walk you right over to where the item is, because they have it, you just didn't see it. They have the things the other places do, plus the things the other places don't. It's like the hardware store from the 60's. A real one. I needed a few things at the Depot last night they didn't have and this place had them in stock just hanging there waiting for me, plus a few extra things that caught my eye as well. EDIT: They don't have refrigerators, washer or dryers like a department store. They don't have doors, widows or lumber like a lumber supply. They don't have carpet and flooring like a floor store. They have springs, tools, wheels, rope, wire, nuts & bolts small and larger then 1/2" like bulldozer size. They have piano hinges that you can weld onto a 1/4" steel lid. They have stuff like a HARDWARE STORE is supposed to.

I purchased a Torx bit which I was told was "hardened". I was told it would not round off. The tool lasted about 2 seconds before rounding off. I took the tool back to MD with my receipt. I was told essentially they would not refund or return or replace the tool. MD's customer service is a poor example of standing behind a product. I ended up buying a bit from Harbor Freight which removed the bolt quickly. Not a good look for McFadden Dale.

Ended up buying roundup in a Hudson sprayer type of bottle with a pump and spray nozzle. Along with a refill concentrate bottle of Ace brand weed killer to add some of to the roundup making a higher concentration solution. I've been shopping here for over 25 years, before they opened this location they used to be located off Santa Ana canyon, west of weir canyon in the festival center. Good prices, knowledgeable staff, and fairly large selection. I'll be back.

Shipping was supposed to take 5 days, but when the delivery came, I only received one cabinet--the second box was a random piece of luggage I didn't order. Calling customer service made things worse. Abigale was unhelpful, gave contradictory answers about a discount, and hung up on us after we asked to speak with a manager. When I called back, Tina (a manager) still couldn't resolve the issue. Also, be aware: debit card refunds can take 3-10 days, and they won't guarantee any discounts over the phone. On the positive side, the in-store experience completely turned things around. At my local Anaheim Lowe's, Kayah in returns was great and made me feel valued. She brought in the store manager, Edward, who handled everything professionally and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Bottom line: Store employees like Kayah and Edward are excellent. The line at the registers next to the Pro Desk is often 8-10 customers deep while staff stand nearby instead of helping move the line along. As a contractor on a tight schedule, that lost time adds up quickly. On top of that, Pro Loaders are frequently unavailable when needed, which makes larger material pickups inefficient. I'd really like to see better support for contractors at this location -- quicker assistance at busy times and more reliable loader availability would make a big difference.

My friend pick up a $3.99 water nozzle and was about to put it in cart. I noticed that half of them were missing the rubber gasket that seals the water connection when the hose is connected. So I put it back and found her one that had rubber gasket inside. So be careful when you buy an item from here. Because some thief probably took what they want and closed packaging . Store employee was helpful and offered me 20% off the tool with missing 17mm. But I decided against it and went to La Mirada location, I did however buy stubby tools and a bunch of HF bags.
