I came back again the 3rd time since the eyeglasses that I bought from them had the nose bridge pad fell off, I was told to come anytime I am available and they can take care of it right away , which they did. So all in all I'm happy with the company .

Extremely Disappointed with Melissa Eye Associates - A Cautionary Experience…read more I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Melissa Eye Associates, particularly with Dr. Campbell and the front desk staff. My prescription is +0.50, but Dr. Campbell increased it to +0.75 so it would be approved by insurance. This felt dishonest and unnecessary. The doctor handed the prescription to the front desk and explained it using technical terms I didn't fully understand. I expected the front desk to help clarify, but they failed to provide proper guidance. I asked if the glasses could be worn outdoors as sunglasses. The front desk recommended paying an additional $70 for photochromic transition lenses. I agreed, selected a frame suitable for outdoor use, and paid the extra amount. When I received the glasses a couple of weeks later and wore them while driving, they hurt my eyes and made it difficult to read street signs. I returned to the office and was told the glasses were only for short-distance use and not suitable for outdoors--despite the transition lenses. They then asked for another $60+ to make them "compatible" for outdoor use, which was never explained clearly. I tried the glasses at home in front of a computer, and they still caused discomfort. I returned again and requested to see the doctor. After waiting 45 minutes while others were seen ahead of me, I was finally seen by Dr. Campbell. She confirmed my prescription should have been +0.50 all along and acknowledged the front desk's poor guidance. She assured me I could be reimbursed for the transition lenses and choose a new frame. However, when I went to the front desk, they refused to reimburse the $70, claiming I should have known the glasses were for computer use only--even though I had spent time selecting frames and discussing transition options with them. When I asked them to confirm with Dr. Campbell, they returned and told me I was being blacklisted for requesting reimbursement. They handed me my prescription and told me to go elsewhere. To make matters worse, they said they would contact my insurance to deny any future claims and process the reimbursement without my input. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and empathy was shocking. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and stressful. I trusted this office with my eye care and was met with misinformation, poor service, and ultimately, disrespect. I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering Melissa Eye Associates.

New review: Lone Star Vision: Celina…read more Brought my daughter in for an eye exam today to the new Lone star vision and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and efficient it is! I don't believe it's been open for very long, it's right off of Preston Rd in Celina. The offices are beautifully designed, I loved all of the thoughtful pieces throughout, definitely thumbs up for the coffee bar! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the doctor took his time to explain the pictures of the eye to my daughter, which was fascinating! They got us in and out pretty quickly and did an amazing job. I think my daughter was really happy with her eyeglass selection. She hasn't had glasses for several years and is looking forward to them, especially for driving. We opted to add in the blue light filter to help with screen time effects on the eyes. Highly recommend, if you are needing assistance with vision, be sure to check out Lone star vision!

I was running 4 mins behind due to traffic and they went ahead and brought in the appointment behind me since they were already there and waiting. Not ideal for me of course but great if the shoe had been on the other foot. It's a pretty cozy space so I waited for the appointment to wrap up by admiring the small town views and a few new pair of glasses. Dr. Nguyen was a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I had just as much of an understanding of what was going on with my eyes. I didn't feel rushed at all going through my exam and she gave me thoughtful suggestions on my next steps to ensure that my eye health was being prioritized. I also appreciated that Dr. Nguyen sanitized the equipment before having me use each machine. At the front desk for check out, the woman who helped me there was also really patient as I scrambled to find my HSA card to pay. It started pouring down raining and she was even kind enough to walk me through the back door to my car so I wouldn't get as wet. I will be ordering my new contacts from here soon and was told the turnaround time is really quick. I look forward to receiving them and I am excited to have a new eye doctor.

The best eye doctor around. Staff and prices are great. We take our 90 year old mother.read more

I had the numbers on the card available, but instead of working the issue and contacting my insurance - she submitted under a random electronic drop down for a different type of Metlife insurance and I was later contacted via text with a message stating Spectrum Vision needed additional insurance information. I called the Spectrum Vision office and was given voicemail. On the voicemail - I left my insurance numbers and the phone number for Metlife. A phone number the office workers could have used to call Metlife and verify this office was covered (as it is listed in the online provider directory). Instead of doing her job, she cancelled my appointment when I was unable to pickup the phone Wednesday. I was working constantly and unable to pick up the phone - so she should have done her job instead of cancelling my appointment. Is it that hard to call a phone number for an insurance provider? Now that I am no longer working today, I am happy to provide this feedback. See attached screenshot for my Vision Provider directory.
