The web site said that they were open but no one was there. No sign on the door "Back in 10 minutes" or anything like that. So I got back in my car and called. No answer. I left a VM. Did hear back in the late afternoon, that maybe the receptionist had locked the door and gone to the restroom or something. OK, but she should have left a note. I am from out of town so this was an inconvenience for me. Anyway, I went back on the next morning, Saturday, and there was one person there. She brought out my glasses. I asked a couple of questions and she did not have answers that satisfied me at all. Again, not warm and friendly at all, no smile, very cold. I really expected to be treated better. As I said, not going back. Sincerely, the cashier at the local gas station where I stopped on the way home was more friendly and treated me with more respect that the receptionist who met me at Travis Street Optical Saturday morning. Numerous calls went unanswered and numerous emails went unanswered. I am the type of person who likes to keep things the same, and, the Sherman office is next to Sam, which is where I get my eye glasses. Now, I am in need of a copy of my eye prescription, and now I am going through hell again with the unanswered calls and emails. I have even went to the Sherman location on Saturdays (multiple times) to get my prescription and the office is closed. Once I get my prescription I am done with them. The eye doctor is nice but RECEIVING RETURN CALLS AND ANSWERED EMAILS IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. Do not let the convenient location get you. Save yourself some emotional distress -- look elsewhere!! I am filing a complaint with the Department Of Insurance to get a copy of my prescription. And posting my experience on my company's intra-office email and the Texas State Employee Intra-office email.

She calculated the cost of each to determine which was the lesser cost for the same exact product. She double checked her work and handled my private information appropriately, shredding it immediately after she was done. She was so kind and caring, it was a nice interaction at a business for a change! I've always gotten my glasses there and there is usually a long wait, but I've always been pleased with the product.
