The web site said that they were open but no one was there. No sign on the door "Back in 10 minutes" or anything like that. So I got back in my car and called. No answer. I left a VM. Did hear back in the late afternoon, that maybe the receptionist had locked the door and gone to the restroom or something. OK, but she should have left a note. I am from out of town so this was an inconvenience for me. Anyway, I went back on the next morning, Saturday, and there was one person there. She brought out my glasses. I asked a couple of questions and she did not have answers that satisfied me at all. Again, not warm and friendly at all, no smile, very cold. I really expected to be treated better. As I said, not going back. Sincerely, the cashier at the local gas station where I stopped on the way home was more friendly and treated me with more respect that the receptionist who met me at Travis Street Optical Saturday morning. She was a tad dry. She asked me if my doctor had done my pressures the day before I was told to do a follow up w/ RGB. I asked her about how a pressure test was done and was replied with "I don't know, I wasn't there"... I was a little taken aback and thought it was somewhat rude. If I asked the question it was because I didn't know. I don't know enough about how eye procedures are done to know for sure what is what. Other than the dry in personality nurse the visit went good. Dr. Bossen was very nice did his own exam and detailed in what my results were. I have a yearly follow-up visit which I will go to at RGB.

However, the business office, surgery counselors and billing department have been less than pleasurable to work with. There were some discrepancies between the billing office and the surgery counselor when I was quoted certain financial amounts. When communicating with them, they became very hostile and demanding, without being understanding and accommodating. After my follow ups are finalized, I will not be recommending them to anyone who might be looking into getting anything done in the future simply because of the interactions I experienced with some of the office staff.

I can now go to an ophthalmologist & pay $18.50 & let my medical insurance pay for it. I picked up the glasses & I couldn't see out of them. I was told I could upgrade to better lenses ( I was never told I had any choices when I ordered). I think the prescription is wrong because of miscommunication with the online tech. I was told I could return the glasses, but I had to pay for the exam. "How much?" I asked. The girl said $79.00. I said OK. But I was charged $118.00. I did not know until I had left & started to look over my receipt versus the amount I was refunded. I was not given a true receipt for my refund, only written on the sales receipt without a signature or even initials. I WILL TELL ALL FAMILY & FRIENDS TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! It is really less than 1 star, but you have to put something there to finish.

She then proceeded to apologize to me because she was short with me. I've noticed they are trying to advertise a lot on Instagram.
