When I got back with my son he was acting very quite. Once we left I asked him what's up. He said that doctor made him feel very uncomfortable. I asked a few more questions but I have never seen my son act this way. I tried to bring it up to the receptionist and she was short with me and said she brings her kids here... and the doctor was fine with her kids. She then proceeded to apologize to me because she was short with me. I've noticed they are trying to advertise a lot on Instagram. I wanted to just leave this facility alone and never come back, but with how much they are saying they have tons of openings, I'm curious if others dealt with what I had to deal with. Numerous calls went unanswered and numerous emails went unanswered. I am the type of person who likes to keep things the same, and, the Sherman office is next to Sam, which is where I get my eye glasses. Now, I am in need of a copy of my eye prescription, and now I am going through hell again with the unanswered calls and emails. I have even went to the Sherman location on Saturdays (multiple times) to get my prescription and the office is closed. Once I get my prescription I am done with them. The eye doctor is nice but RECEIVING RETURN CALLS AND ANSWERED EMAILS IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE. Do not let the convenient location get you. Save yourself some emotional distress -- look elsewhere!! I am filing a complaint with the Department Of Insurance to get a copy of my prescription. Granted, this is not a facility that consumers would reach out to unless their physician had scheduled a surgery for them at North Texas Surgery Center, but most of us research the web, and when it comes to health care, information available to the public can be very useful. I was worried in general about this surgery even though I trust my doctor and understand the procedure and risks, and a webpage for the facility might have helped ease my concerns. I'm going back in 3 weeks or so for the other eye and looking forward to it.
