As a young woman, I sometimes feel uncomfortable getting my car serviced because I've experienced men flirting with me or making me feel like they might assume I'm inexperienced or don't know much about cars. That was not the case here at all. I felt completely respected, comfortable, and confident that I was being taken care of honestly. I really appreciated the professionalism and would absolutely come back because of this experience.

Hubs gave the go ahead so I called the shop and they had a 3 minute wait time. Once I got to the shop, it was more like a 25min wait time and 20min service. Pretty close to their self proclaimed 15 minute oil change. They were super nice and didn't pressure me into any added services. The manager pointed out how dirty my cabin air filter was and offered to change it but was very kind when I declined. The tech cleaned most of the leaves out from under my hood and tended to a chipmunk nest in my airfilter. Everything was topped off as it should be and I was sent on my way. I must say, they are extremely efficient. Loved the car cam and timer with my service time. Will come back to this shop for future oil changes pending coupons! (Don't hate me, I love a deal)

Bob Sumerel in Alexandria has been my go-to spot since I owned my first car and I have no plans of changing. With that said, when I went to look for new tires, I went to a competitor down the street just to see if they had any prices to be considered. Good lord was that a mistake. Not only did it take far too long just to get a simple quote on four tires, but they didn't seem to know when I could come in to get them done. Uhhhh? After a deep breath, I headed on down to trusty Bob Sumerel, who gave me a quote in minutes, beat the price of the "other place" AND threw in an oil change. Best part was, I didn't even give them the other quote, they were just naturally cheaper. They had the tires shipped in the next morning, and I made an appointment for a morning that was good for me. You'll probably deal with Mike on the phone and at the desk. He's the man, and will help you in any way he can. Add to that the fact that I was treated like an ignorant female when I requested a copy of the paper the technician wrote a note on regarding a problem they found during my inspection which is NOT listed on the inspection or in the notes on the digital copy I received. Apparently they don't know how to copy items requested. I will be contacting to discuss and also reporting to AAA.

I did get the high mileage oil because my car has over 130,000 miles on it, and they did note a few suggestions on the printout such as an inexpensive oil filter, which I already knew, my oil filter is cracked. My service tech went above and beyond. I've been having problems with the front driver side tire losing air, so they checked that out. The guy said when he did the leak test my tire looked like a fish aquarium, lol! He explained why that happened, the corrosion on my aluminum wheel made the tire separate from the wheel, but he sealed it. For free!! Because they didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary, I think if they do suggest something, it's a real problem and not a fake one. Because I was a walk-in, it took an hour and a half but that's expected because I didn't have an appointment. But it wasn't bad because while I waited I went to McDonald's, had a latte, chatted with my mom, ate a fish sandwich, did some reading. I got back just as they were finishing up. If I was less lazy, I could have walked to my house which is only 15 minutes away. Other good things: they topped of fluids like always, and put that print out sticker showing when I got my last oil change. I really like that, preferring it to when someone anticipates I should get it done so I can make my own decision. I'll be definitely coming back.
