I had 4 tires replaced and aligned , picked up truck the front bumper was dented, looked like it had been hit by trailer hitch. I dropped my car off this morning for four new tires, and when I picked it up, I discovered a cracked windshield that wasn't there before. I immediately called, and they told me they need to "check the cameras" and won't get back to me until Tuesday because of the holiday weekend. As if that wasn't enough, the left passenger tire was completely flat when I got home. I paid for brand new tires -- this is absolutely unacceptable. My vehicle was damaged while in their care, and now I'm left waiting days for a response, with a cracked windshield and a flat tire. I expected better quality service and basic accountability. My wife and I have been getting our oil changed at different locations and we have noticed that the pricing varies greatly from place to place. I decided last night to try Tire Discounters because they have always given me great service in other areas. I also like the fact they try to have fun. I enjoy their comments on their Marques, their Christmas trees made out of tires painted green, and other things that they probably think go unnoticed. After My wife Amy and I dropped our GMC Denali off for an oil change, we started to walk to a restaurant just down the hill. It was snowing very hard so Jerome asked us if we wanted an umbrella. We said no and started walking. We got to the road and there was not an easy path to the restaurant without walking along the main highway. We just stood there and laughed and turned to head back to Tire Discounters just when Jerome pulled up in my Denali and asked if we wanted a ride. We laughed and jumped in our car as Jerome taxied us to the restaurant. Jerome then gave us some good menu options to try and said for us to call him when we were finished. My wife and I had a nice meal and a few drinks and then Jerome called. It had been over an hour. He asked if we were ready and we proceeded to pay. What started out as a oil change ended up being a nice date for my wife and I. Our Denali is quite large and yet our oil change & free tire rotation cost $66.00. This is $10.00 cheaper than my wife's last oil change and she has a smaller vehicle and received a Triple A Discount. Besides the price, Jerome made our night special by being our chauffeur. My check engine light was on with the "check VSC System" light on as well. My car was sounding very loud. I dropped my car off and they fixed an exhaust pipe under my engine. I paid $1000 dollars! I got my car back and both the engine light and check VSC System lights we're still on. And, my car sounds "slightly" better. i paid $1000 dollars and feel the initial problem was not fixed. Staff was very friendly and attentive. But, could have done a better job with the service on my car. Will be taking it back in to have them fix it. read more

I brought my car in for a brake grinding. Told I needed a complete brake replacement. As it's used, I decided to get them all replaced. $2,378.24 later I got my car back. When I got home I decided to add windshield fluid. The hood wouldn't open. The cable was loose. I took it back and next day they called and said they couldn't understand how it became disconnected. It cost $48.00 for labor. It never occurred to me to check everywhere they worked before leaving the lot so I couldn't prove it didn't happen after. I usually go to an independent mechanic shop, but a friend raved about this place, so... I had to take an Uber to get there and she said she went to another location of Tire Discounters and if this had happened the manager there would've made it right. My car picked up something on the highway and they were the closest to me. The person in charge came out and told me it would be a 1 to 11/2 hour wait and I explained I had a yoga event to get to. He said sorry we have appointments. I have spent a lot of money at that location , but not anymore. Loyalty doesn't get you anything. I turned around and went to Alexandria Tire Pros and was on the road in 10 minutes. All I wanted was the donut tire put on to make it to my gig on time. Family owned business seems to understand a persons needs. A chain store cares about the bottom line. Thanks Alexandria Tire Pros for saving me in a pinch. I recently bought 4 tires because they offered free alignment plus life time balancing and rotation. I got my car back checked the tires everything seemed fine. Once I got to the highway noticed the car was pulling to the right and when I got to 70 mph the car would shake. Not sure if they even did the alignment and the rotation. Called back they were friendly and nice and they saw me the same day I waited over an hour got my car back it no longer pulled to the right and it didn't shake anymore I was told the shaking was due to ice on the wheel but the car is kept in a garage so needless to say that would not apply. The reason why I am not happy is after 3 weeks passed I was working on changing my brakes and noticed they had changed 4 of the original lug nuts on my car for some cheap ones that damaged the wheel stud on one of tires read more

This location in Cold Spring has gone through some major remodelling and expansion. I guess Tire Discounters is trying to become more welcoming by having their customer reps serve at kiosk type stations instead of having them stand behind a long counter. I get a feeling that it would work. I have been a long-time customer for over 10 years and have always had a good experience with them. I came in today to have them check what was wrong with one tire that kept on deflating. I was expecting the worst that I would have to buy a new tire. They determined that it just needed to be repaired, they also did my scheduled tire rotation and I was out the door at $0 cost. Now that was surely a justifiable reason to keep buying tires from them. read more

Waited for about 12 mins for help. 2 guys working the desk. 1 was to busy flirting with a lady and talking about everything under the sun but having her car worked on. The other guy just sat there starring at his paperwork. After 12 mins he looked up and asked if he could help me. Told him that I have a slow leak in my rear tire and the when they installed my tires the technician forgot to put a lug but back on. He told me to come back later today.... I always go to this facility for my oil changes because I feel like they have good pricing and it is in a convenient location. I also always make an appointment (usually over a week in advance because they tend to be booked out). Never have I ever had to wait less than two hours to get my car back for a simple oil change. I've currently been here for over an hour and my car is still sitting in the parking lot... again... I had an appointment. People who are just walking in are getting quoted an hour and a half wait for service. What is the point of even making an appointment? read more

If you read other review, you will see that, yes, sometimes this place is busy. But when it comes to car service, places are busy for a reason. If there are a lot of people wanting service, then it means that the service they are getting is excellent. I drive mostly older vehicles and I have never been let down by Tire Discounters. I like that alignment is included in the price and you get free tire rotation & balancing for the life of the tires. I had my tire plugged here because of a screw in the tire a few months ago. I asked how much is the oil change if I brought my own oil and filter here. It was around $21. The guy also said they will rotate my tires for free. That was the very reason I came here for the oil change and the free rotation. Guess what? I brought my car here for an oil change but no free tire rotation because I brought my own oil said another guy. Bad. The service was also slow. I am so unbelievably thankful for Tire Discounters! On Saturday as I was preparing to leave for vacation, I found out my dealership could not put on the tires they claimed they ordered for me. I needed 4 new tires on a 2002 Trailblazer. I was terrified. I hadn't been to Tire Discounters for years because of the up-sale and high pressure tactics. What I got was 4 great tires at an excellent price. No pressure, No, "you need to have this done right now or your tire will fall off and you'll go careening off a cliff". I can't say enough good things about the customer service tech who helped me. He was above and beyond friendly and honest. Little upset that they were not aware of how asjustable ball joints work. They made a fuss about me installing on my own with out an alignment machine. Lol. Was told they were going to pop out my brand new ball joints to reset also that they would not be able to get aligned .. luckily i was there and able to show mechanic how they operate and saved my brand new moog ball joint. Had my oil changed and some other work done in Cold Springs earlier this year. Last weekend, I changed the oil myself. Was shocked to see that T.D. used the wrong oil filter on my engine. Yes, it screwed on and did not leak, but it was much smaller than the correct one. This is why I still feel I have to change my own oil because I do not trust in someone else taking the time to do everything right. I always buy WIX filters. Maybe I should just take my WIX filter and good synthetic oil with me and pay them to use my stuff. At least then I would be sure I had the correct filter on the car. I'm getting older and do not want to have to continue changing my own oil, but I need to be able to trust in these places. Also, the GREEN Valve CAPS are UGLY. Please go back to using black CAPS. read more
