Gwendolyn Galmon gwengalmon@yahoo.com…read more11-20-25 ALL STAR Toyota of Baton Rouge ATTN: Service Manager/General Manager 9150 Airline Hwy Baton Rouge, LA 70815 Subject: Concern Regarding Dry Rotted Tires and Safety Negligence Dear Whom, IT May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent visit to your service department. During the visit, I was informed by the team that the tires on my vehicle are dry rotted. The revelation was especially alarming, as your dealership is the only one that has serviced my vehicle since I purchased it. At no point on previous visits was I made aware of any issue regarding the condition of my tires, nor was any preventive maintenance or inspection record brought to my attention reading this matter. Upon learning of the tire condition, I expressed my concern for my personal safety and the safety of others on the road, especially given the serious risks posed by dry rotted tires--- including blowouts and loss of vehicle control. Despite voicing these valid concerns, I was denied a loaner or an alternative vehicle, and no reasonable solution was offered to ensure my safe mobility while the issue was being addressed. This response was both dismissive and unacceptable. As a loyal customer who has entrusted your dealership exclusively with the care and maintenance of my vehicle, I expected a significantly higher standard of accountability and service-----especially where safety is concerned. I am requesting the following: 1. A formal explanation of why the dry rot issues were not identified or communicated during pervious services. 2. A goodwill gesture to cover or significantly discount the cost of a tire replacement, given the negligence in prior inspections. 3. A reconsideration of providing a loaner vehicle or transportation assistance until the tires are safely replaced. If this matter is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be forced to consider further steps, including filing a formal complaint with the manufacturer, Better Business Bureau (BBB), and other appropriate consumer protection agencies. I look forward to your prompt responses and resolution of this issue. You may contact me directly by email at gwengalmon@yahoo.com. Sincerely, Gwendolyn Galmon,MSW,RSW

Price Leblanc Toyota and specifically Brandi in the service department has changed that. As a first time Tacoma owner I was excited to be part of the Toyota team. I was also amazed how beautiful Price Leblanc is. There is even a restaurant on site. I dropped off my tacoma and met with Brandi to recalibrate my tire sensors and troubleshoot my door lock motion sensor not working. I informed Brandi that I added lights with two plug and play wire harnesses that can be unplugged if necessary and that I would reinstall the two wire harnesses after the troubleshooting. This should have been a very simple job. Over the next 6 and a half hours of my truck being there, I was told that the new wires could not be located, that permanent modifications had been made, I was hung up on by brandi, that 6.5 hours was not enough. When I realized I was going to be charged more, I quickly demanded that they stop so I can bring my truck elsewhere as I was already lied to about anything being permanently modified. Upon arrival, I was informed that they magically found a bad wire at the last second. I just wanted to pay my $200 troubleshooting fee and leave. This is where things took a nutty turn. Here is the email proof that I was lied to. The next day I emailed Brandi for the part number on MY Vehicle...after Paying for a Diagnostic. Can't make this up....She said MY part number was proprietary. Since then I brought my truck elsewhere and the bad wire was located in under an hour... for $140. I will never go back to Price Leblanc, not even for free service.

I informed them that I'll be having it towed because it was the splash Guard undercover. They scheduled me appointment for 1 PM. They did a multi point inspection and they sent me a text with different stuff they suggested I needed with the bill of $3043.82. I advised them no I didn't want anything but what I sent to the for. They called me back within a few hours and told me my car was ready. I called and I paid for it and I had my car towed back to my house When the car arrived to my house, I took it for a drive and it was scraping, and I looked under the car and it was something hanging from under the car. I called them back. My service advisor asked me to bring the car back in. and I told him no I wouldn't because I had a Tow there and towed home. Then the service advisor suggested that I stopped at a dealership near where I live in so they could push it clamps back in. I told him once again no I wasn't. Then the service advisor suggested I do my body work first. I asked him why didn't he suggest that before he did the work then I talked to the service manager. She also advised me that I need to get my body work done first I once again ask her why didn't you advise or that suggested before y'all done work so finally the service advisor called me and made an appointment with Maggio GMC for me to take my car over there for them to look at it. I called to schedule appointment and the service manager said no they don't go behind anybody work and they are not a Honda dealership.. so finally the service manager at Richards Honda called me and told me she could have someone come out there and look at it so a mechanic came out and looked at it and he said he couldn't get on the ground. I just could pull that from under the bottom of the car. I told him thank you I'll be calling the Dealership. I called the dealership for the general manager three different times and left messages with no avail. No one returned call. This is my work car and they really put me in a bind! I photos of my car and voice recordings when I spoke with them on the phone! I don't recommend service from Richards Honda Baton Rouge La

I'm still upside down in the car today and had 10,000 down with trade and down payment. They offered to sell me another vehicle with a lesser note and was asking new car prices on the used vehicle and wouldn't budge. There was a 10,000 gap on what they offered me for my car and what it's worth. Because of this, I will never buy another car from Richards Honda. If anyone else out there has experienced anything like this, please write your story. Maybe then someone there will come to their senses when they can't sell vehicles. I guess they're in the business of screwing people!

After calling around, I went with Team Toyota since they had the best price. When scheduling, I thanked them for the decent price, and the woman I was speaking to, Leslie, asked me "out of curiosity" how much the other quotes were and I told her it was a difference of about $600. Shortly after I dropped my car off, Leslie called me saying the repair required an additional part, so my total cost would be $600 more than I was quoted. The quote requested was for a common Toyota Technical Service Bulletin, with WELL DOCUMENTED parts that are required. When I asked what additional $600 part was needed, she couldn't tell me. I was then transferred to the manager, who also couldn't tell me what part was being added to my service. He said "the mechanics sometimes find things when they start repairs". It seemed like this SCAM of adding "mystery parts" is something Team Toyota does regularly! I was familiar with the repair bulletin and the parts needed, so l told them they could stop working and have my car ready to be picked up. I brought it somewhere else where the employees knew what parts they were charging me for. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. They will likely SCAM you, especially if you have limited knowledge of car repairs.

That changed when I went to the dealership; I was greeted by another guy who shook my hand with the weakest grip ever, like a dead fish, slimy too. I told him I wanted to see Mant; he said he was busy but he'd help me. I insisted but apparently Many was busy, although I was the only customer there. Anyway the guy said he'd get the car that I wanted to see, reluctantly I agreed. He grabbed the keys, about 15 min later, he came back w no car, he came to grab another guy and a battery charger. No prob, I understand, batteries go dead in dealerships. I waited and waited, finally after 20 min of waiting I left. Clearly there was something wrong with the car. As I left I saw from the street, the second guy was in the car while the other guy was under the hood. Did I say I hate the whole car purchasing process, well these two guys didn't help me change my attitude towards the experience.
