That is not what we want." That level of customer service and attention is rare today and one of the reasons I will continue to use this dental office. However, I do stand by my previous review that the best people at this practice are Dr. McPhee and Helen. If you have a bad experience here, let them know before you leave. The Initial Examination by the Dental Hygienist took the liberty of pushing the sale of expensive orthodonics to align and straighten teeth and expensive Deep Cleaning Gum Therapy Treatments. During the Dentist Exam it was determined that an Old Capped and Root Canal Tooth needed to be extracted but instead of simply doing the Tooth Extraction which was covered by the UNUM Dental Insurance decided to refer me to an expensive Dental Inplant and Surgery Specialist ( A Good Friend of the Dentist). After taking all the expensive pictures and scans of my teeth and jaw scheduled the Expensive Deep Cleaning for a week later to allow time to complete the time consuming procedure. When I learned that Deep Cleaning and Gum Treatments were not fully covered by the UNUM Dental Insurance I called to Cancel the Appointment as I could not afford the Expensive Dental Procedure which DFL quickly changed to a Simple Dental Cleaning in order to get a few last dollars out of my Dental Insurance was subsequently advised by DSL that my UNUM Dental Insurance would not longer be accepted by DSL and that I would need to find another Dentist Office that accepts the Insurance or pay Full Price (Non-Insured) Costs for Future Dental Services Rendered by DSL. Now forced to have to find another Less Greedy Dentist that will accept my UNUM Dental as Full Payment for Dental Services.

We stopped coming to this office after a few mishaps with our care and the general experience with…read morethe office staff. We had started coming in 2020 and were initially impressed with the thoroughness of the exam and kindness of the clinical staff. The dental hygienist was especially kind and helpful in explaining everything she was doing or recommending. That said, the end of the visit was off-putting. After the cleaning, x-rays, and exam, they ushered me into a room to discuss recommended treatments and payment. My husband was recommended veneers and other dental work to total over $11,000 after insurance. We declined most of what they recommended with the exception of the root canal. Looking back, we should have gone to an endodontist for his root canal, but Dr. Walia represented that she could complete it in the office. I drove my husband to the appointment, which ended up taking 4.5 hours after they initially told me 2. I took him home with a temporary crown, which fell off shortly after arriving home despite following the strict instructions to not introduce solids for a few hours. Upon going to a new dental practice, we were informed that the initial root canal was improperly done and needed further evaluation by an endodontist. Our last visit to this practice was in 2022 after we had an incident with billing and noticed the high turnover of staff at this location. In 2023, I received a bill from the practice despite not receiving care for almost one year. The bill was from 2021. I called the office who informed me that they had "forgotten" to submit to insurance and had attempted to file with the insurance carrier we had provided (United) in 2022. I informed them that the care I was being billed for occurred in 2021 and we had a different insurer at that time (Cigna), so United would likely deny the claim. The office staff attempted to tell me I'd need to still pay the bill or it would be sent to collections despite the care being performed 2 years prior and not going through the proper channels of filing with insurance. I had paid the coinsurance amounts due at the time of service and had receipts proving this information. They finally dropped the billing, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth and frankly, felt fraudulent. We will not come back to this office due to the lack of organization and poorly done root canal. I strongly feel that we should have been referred to an endodontist for this procedure, but am concerned this was not done in order to generate more money for the practice. I would caution others from receiving care here.
