He was there for TWO HOURS for a routine dental cleaning and some X-Rays. I tried to confirm with Evon that his visit was 100% covered by insurance and she couldn't even verify that. You don't get a cleaning on the first visit, only xrays and an exam, meaning you have to pay the office visit fee twice. Despite only have a handful (less than 9%) of gum testing showing a 4mm depth (a "warning" level by their own metrics, with 5+ being signs of dental/gum disease) and zero bone loss shown on xrays, I was told (after being forced to wait 30 minutes for a "treatment plan") that I had to pay $400 for a special deep cleaning. A standard cleaning was REFUSED despite no formal disease diagnosis. All of this came from a business manager, not even the dentist. When she started talking about "discounts" and "legal requirements" I knew I was being jockeyed for a service I didn't need. There is no law preventing a cleaning, and they also could not provide a policy showing this was the expectation from their parent company. The parent company was unresponsive to inquires about said policy and if this was a company decision or a business manager going rogue. Be wary.
