Meet the people sitting next to you, it's a blast! I've always had good food too. I love their fish fry, and the Hot Turkey MJ is my go-to. Also, the burgers are also good. I haven't had the pizza, but I've asked a number of people who got it sitting closeby, and they said it was good. I've been there when we were the only people except the bartender, and when it's packed. It's great that they are open year round as it's a quick trip from our place. We were so relieved to find that Bayside Tavern serves food daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, even though the tavern itself stays open until 2:00 am! Since it was only about 4 minutes from our condo, we suddenly had plenty of time to settle in before heading out for dinner. Bayside Tavern is family-owned and looks like the kind of small-town tavern I've seen on TV and in movies. There's even a jukebox playing music, which adds to the atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and nice. She seemed to be taking care of the entire tavern herself! Our daughter and I each ordered a lemonade ($7 total), while my husband ordered a Billy's Bayside Beer ($7). Unfortunately, the lemonade was rather watered down and didn't have much flavor. Their hand-pattied, 1/3-pound burgers come with pickles and potato chips. Since we were pretty hungry, I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Burger with a substitution of sweet potato fries ($15.95 + $5 = $20.95). Our daughter ordered a Cheeseburger with the same sweet potato fries substitution ($14.95 + $5 = $19.95). My husband ordered a Reuben ($15.95), which came with potato chips. All the food arrived piping hot, and we all enjoyed our meals! My burger was huge and tasty. Our server suggested that I order it medium-well, and it came out just as requested. However, the meat tasted a little dry to me, and I wished it had been a bit juicier. The burger was so big that I couldn't even finish it, despite starting out really hungry! Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. The sweet potato fries were very good. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I am so grateful that Bayside Tavern stays open late and serves good food! It was our very first meal in Fish Creek, and it was such a relief to find a welcoming place to eat after our long drive. What a great way to start our Door County trip!

Most of the tables were taken and the bar stools were all full up. Three staff members were runnin' the show. Two behind the bar and one working the flat top. They admitted they were understaffed and were trying their best to keep up. I appreciated their honesty and they did a terrific job! Hard work and honesty go a long way. I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.

My husband asked her to repeat herself because he didn't hear her and she said, just try to keep it down on the toys, we have people trying to read. We were surprised that a wine bar warranted that kind of comment. If it's a coffee shop, library, book store, then OK. But a wine bar? We left and went next door to Thyme. I'd recommend that place if you're interested in an activity outside of reading quietly.
