Fortunately, we had reservations, but they were turning people away w/o them. Tried different martinis that night - French, Sunburnt, and the Raspberry. They were all good / refreshing. Don't worry - they weren't all for me! For our meals - we got the Stuffed Shrimp and the Chiopini. For both - we upgraded our salad to the Caesar - which was quite worth it. The Stuffed Shrimp was six large shrimp filled with a blend of snow and lump crab meat, baked and finished with a lemon tarragon beurre blancsauce. It was so wonderful - especially the sauce which was a great pair for the bread. It came with a Vegetable Blend of julienne carrots, green beans, along with red & yellow peppers, sautéed with sesame oil. Also - Au Gratin Potatoes with Smoked Swiss & provolone. I actually loved the green beans side and the potatoes in my shrimp/crab sauce was fabulous! My husband's dish was Lobster, fresh scallops and shrimp sautéed with garlic, artichoke hearts, fresh basil and chef's tomatoes, tossed with egg fettuccine in a spicy tomato white wine sauce and topped with Italian cheeses. I didn't try it, but he loved it! He felt there was an abundance of seafood - to the point where he almost couldn't finish it all. He thought it was one of the highlights of our trip. There was zero room for dessert after all this. It was a fabulous meal that I would recommend. Also - kudos to the woman maitre d who handled the entire front of the house. She did a wonderful job of coordinating a full bar of people trying to get in. She was much calmer than I could have been!

The food was wonderful. My husband had shrimp tempura appetizer and the small fillet. He loves getting the Door County cherry martini. He looks forward to it every time I had the Vol au vent Seafood dish it was heavenly, but rich, had to take half home. That was nice though because I got to enjoy it the next evening for dinner. My salad had the fresh made cucumber dill dressing very good no dessert for me. Grasshopper for my husband he always looks forward to that too. Cannot wait to come back. Everyone is so nice. It's a good place. Put it on your list.

The fries with burger were exceptional. The chicken and waffles didn't disappoint. Burger I ordered medium and would go medium rare in future. We will be back. This is very handsome venue with extremely reasonable price point at lunch! What a pleasant surprise. Super impressed and enjoyable experience And server Lillian was so sweet, pleasant and super attentive! This is a fabulous place in Fish Creek! Alex the bartender

However, to give credit where it is due, Cut is one of the exceptions. The 18oz ribeye seemed more like Choice instead of Prime in terms of tenderness, which is mostly why they get 4 instead of 5 stars, though it was still pretty good. Service and atmosphere were very good to excellent. My only knock is that the wine-by-the-glass selection is a little sparse. Only having 4 or 5 reds to pick from is not adequate for a steakhouse. Usually, our go-to for an upscale night out has been Chives, but after poor service, declining food quality, and them losing our reservation last time we tried to visit, we've stopped going. We may give Chives another chance at some point, but our visit to Cut was a far better experience than any we've ever had anywhere else.

We finally decided to have dinner there on a beautiful August evening, and I'm so glad we did. We chose the outdoor seating, which is absolutely lovely--beautiful perennial gardens, a little creek, a large fire pit, and even blankets on the chairs in case the evening gets chilly. Such a cozy, romantic setting! Dinner was phenomenal. We had French onion soup, prime rib, filet mignon and the warm spinach salad with their famous bacon dressing. That dressing! We loved it so much we bought a large jar to bring home and managed to get four more salads out of it. They even ship it if you need another fix! My Grey Goose Cosmopolitan was excellent, too. Our server was friendly, helpful, and added to an already wonderful evening. Between the food, atmosphere, gardens, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dining experiences in Door County. I would honestly go back to Door County just to have dinner at The English Inn again. That's how much we loved it!

The whole place is decorated like it's old English or medieval times and they have these fire pit tables that you sit with where they also give you blankets. It's kind of the perfect set up. The drinks are insanely strong and not that good but it's all for the fun! This place lowkey got me messed up. Same with the food it's really not great. The wings and fries are insanely mid but the cheese curds were actually awesome. They had a funnel cake coating. They also give you free bread yaya!!!! They gave roses to all of the ladies at the table, which was a beautiful touch! Overall, what I ever come back here? Probably not but if you wanna be fun and flirty, you get the pink squirrel frozen cocktail! Great service as well

The owner was behind the bar, and his wife Rene' behind the scenes. Had a few beverages and each ordered a beef tenderloin sandwich and shared fried cheese curds. The curds were crispy and everything a good fried curd should be. The beef tenderloin was juicy, fork tender and delicious. Nicely served on a sizzling platter and perfectly cooked. Mentioned our difficulty in finding a campground that wasn't full, and were immediately introduced to a couple that was staying nearby in a local campground. Conversation led us to a website and we were booked into a very nice site. ( On an August weekend, an open site is hard to find anywhere.) We were aware of that but just wandering and hoping. Anyway Rene's was a stroke of luck. Excellent food, really nice folks, and a score on a campsite. If you are on 141 in Wisconsin, anywhere near Crevitz get off the road and follow county rd X to Rene's. You will be happy you did.

There were people in the restaurant, but also lots of open tables, and three additional waitresses. During the 20+ minutes we waited to order, no waitress would make eye contact, including our own who turned her back to us as she seated a couple at a neighboring table. When she took a dinner order from a table seated fully 10-15 minutes AFTER us, my husband, who had the patience of a saint, decided it was time to leave. We have never been treated like that, and certainly have never left a restaurant after being seated. I'm still shocked. The food may be delicious--it certainly smelled good--but we never got to try it!
