I am not so happy with my experience today and I was definitely looking forward to coming here…read more I ordered 8 traditional wings, and 8 bonus with two different sauces. The first time the order came out the sauce for the boneless wings was on the traditional wings and vice versa. Then after 15-20 mins the order came out wrong again so I had to send my food back. There was no I'm sorry your order was made wrong/ keep these while we work on your order or compensation for the fact it took 2 times for my order to get sent back to come out correctly the 3rd time. Each time the bartender kept asking me (with an attitude) what was made verse what should have been made. I don't know anymore shoot all I'm trying to figure out is why I don't have 8 Caribbean jerk wings in my face right now. When I first ordered the food it was only 3 other people there with me so I'm not sure why the order kept being messed up and why it took so long to get the food. After the 2nd send back it was maybe a total of 10 people there and I seen a few people send food back to the kitchen. Unfortunately I think I will have to take another break from visiting this restaurant.

Owners Shiela and Julie took a chance nearly 7 years ago and took over the much maligned Indian Mound. They were an instant success. The formula? Great food, great service, and great value. The burger of the month is sure to please, and the homemade soups bring us back even in the heat of the summer. The menu is small but the servings are big. If you're looking for a great non pretentious burger, the Mound is where you should be. Friday nights, they have fish, not just during Lent, and some of the best gumbo in town. Get there early to make sure it doesn't sell out. Did I mention the wings? Forget those corporate places. The Mound has the best in town. While it is a bar and grill, it truly is a family place, too. We've seen so many children grow up in front of our eyes, including the owners' kids. When you go, order the burger of the month with onion rings and chili or the soup of the day with an ice-cold draft. Tell them Eric & Stephanie sent you. They'll get a good laugh.

We booked two cabanas at Fifty West for a Friday night rehearsal dinner. As expected, the place was…read morebuzzing, it's clearly a popular spot on a nice evening, and on this particular night, there was also a graduation party happening. Between the regular crowd and the event, parking in the main lot was a challenge. Fortunately, there is additional parking available across the street, which helped ease the situation. The venue itself is a great setting for a casual gathering. There are plenty of picnic tables, sand volleyball courts, pickleball courts, and a turf area for kids to run around or for guests to relax. It's a fun, energetic environment that works well for groups. Our group started to arrive a bit later than our reserved time, but we were surprised to find people already sitting and dining in our cabanas. Since these had been pre-booked and prepped for our party, it was inconvenient to ask the group to leave and then find a staff member to come over and wipe down the tables. While we recognize that we were running a little behind, we expected the cabanas to be monitored and held for our reservation. A staff member should have been assigned to oversee the area and ensure it remained ready for us. On a more positive note, the food was great and everything was ready and waiting when we arrived. The drinks were also solid, and we especially loved the variety of shakes! The staff was very accommodating when it came to packing up leftovers, providing takeout containers for all the extras without hesitation, which we really appreciated. Despite the small hiccup with the cabana seating, the evening was a success overall. With a bit more attention to managing reserved spaces, it would've been flawless. We'd definitely consider coming back for another group event or a casual night out.

When I got there they were ready to pack up and that was nice.
