Dr. Marshall was beyond patient when assisting with my daughters eye exam. We were asked to return for a second opinion/ procedure and saw a young male (don't recall his name or title). Staff is really friendly. Helpful when I needed to pick out some glasses that I couldn't chose from. I had dr. Shin she was really nice And gave me a coupon for my contact lens cleaner. I used their groupon coupon and check in. I also had a $20 coupon from my work. I paid a total of 279 for my glasses with glare/anti scratch along with my check up for my eyes. As a new patron, -Calling to set up an appointment was quick and easy. -The entire staff from reception to Dr. Field were all very friendly and upbeat. -The technology used within is all pretty new and high-tech. Dr. Field was outstanding, as he was very methodical in his practice, making sure to check every small detail and leave nothing out (plus for me). All my questions were answered without me having to ask. I also found out Dr. Field brings in about 50+ years of experience, which is almost unheard of in any industry. The digital recording of your retina was pretty cool, it's basically another way to catch any hidden problems that may be underlying. For example, nerve endings within the eye may either indicate signs good health or high cholesterol or any other malevolent things that are not immediately visible. read more

Me and my boyfriend had a really good experience in this place. We called to set up an appointment for an eye exam. We had an appointment for only 1 person (me) but they also helped out my boyfriend when we got there. The lady that helped me (I think her name was Dianne) was really nice. She answered all my questions. The equipments they used too are sooo much better than the other opto places I've been. The eye exam for me and my boyfriend cost $150 but because we had the yelp deal, it only came up to $100. Such a good deal! We also decided to only get an eye exam and not buy any glasses. It was such a good experience to not be harassed to buy something you don't intend to buy. I'm recommending this place to my parents! :) read more

His office staff are also on top of their game. This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for over 3 years and this place has been awesome. Doctors are very caring, thorough and have great sense of humor. They have latest testing gear to keep your eye health in check. And they have wonderful staff providing great customer service. They actually take care of their customers. And most importantly, they accept my insurance plan which makes my expensive glasses manageable. Christine has been helping me past few years and she's been phenomenal. She has great sense of humor and exceptional customer service. She's been very helpful when I had dizziness caused by the computer glasses, which she had the lenses replaced at no cost and when my frame just broke out of the blue, she had the them replaced under warranty. She goes above and beyond to provide excellent service and it's been a pleasure working with her. I had my eye exam last week and it was such an awesome experience. I'm legally blind, and way to used to eye drs. I loved the staff and the dr here. The girl in training helped me out and she did awesome as well. The dr went over what was wrong with my old prescription and got my glasses sent out for my new prescription. I had my first glasses there, the doctor is so professional. So I decided to come back for another pair even though I moved to PASADENA!! I just trust them even though I know they are a bit overpriced. I paid $350 for frame lenses cause I have high prescriptions. But what did I get??? I got very sick lenses which make me super uncomfortable but the front desk kept telling me it is normal. Then I visited the doctor and adjusted my prescription. The doctor even thought it is tooooo thick! Not mentioning I paid $350 for that. Now I am waiting for the new pair and it has been 2 weeks. I really need a new pair now as my old frame was broken!! When I called them, they said it has been shipped out and there is nothing they can do but just wait. Oh I hate that. What should I do now????? Driving 1 hour from Pasadena to there everyday?v?DO NOT COME!!!! read more

I have been coming to this spot for a few years now - wonderful staff and Doctors. Everyone is extremely kind, patient, and friendly. Dr. Andy really takes the time to talk through your exam/ eye health with you and understand your concerns, and he also helps make sure you are getting the most from your insurance. Dr. K's office is a mix of high tech and elegance. His office staff are friendly and attentive. The equipment is modern and clean. I love the selection of frames. Dr. K is friendly and knowledgable. I walked in scared that I was going to get a bad diagnosis, but walked out feeling happy and grateful for having gone back to see him. I highly recommend Dr. K for cash patients and insured patients. I love coming here for my eye check-ups! Everyone is so nice & both Dr. Kongsakul & Dr. Shin are so very pleasant & easy to talk to. I feel very comfortable seeing either of them, they are very nice & answer any questions you have with ease. I also love my new glasses as does everyone I know! The Doc that did the Exam for my son was great. The assistants not so much. There were about 4 of them and they didn't really take the time to help me pick out glasses for my son. One of them said "These are the ones we have for kids I'll be back" after I picked one they said "those are too big for him". I said "ok which ones are for kids?" They showed me again then walked away. After I was done they sat us down and said "ok so your insurance doesn't cover for these glasses." I was so mad and I was trying to keep my cool cause I was with my son. I don't understand why they didn't tell me after the exam that his insurance doesn't cover glasses instead of wasting time looking for a pair. By far one of the worst experiences I have when it comes to optometry offices. This place prides their self on scamming more money out of you. To start, I was quoted 175 on the phone after making an apt I then realized how much higher that was and found a few places significantly cheaper..I called back to cancel my appt and was told I was quoted wrong and it's actually $125. It was still $30 more than places I had found but kept my appt anyways. When I arrived I was told to fill out a paper in case my information had changed, the girl who did my pre exam apologized for being quoted wrong (this must had been written down on my file cause I didn't bring it up) and again said it was $125. Did the exam, Dr. Ka was great, only good part of that exam because last year I had Dr. Fields (don't even get me started on him) THEN I go to check out and the guy says $175 plus $60 for photos.. what??? He then apologizes and says oh my bad $125 plus $60 photos.. yes I admit, I didn't read the fine print when updating my address (who does) and "apparently" it said it was $60 extra for photos that I didn't need, nor was this mentioned.. it literally seemed all routine. $185 out the door and never again will I be fooled by this money sucking scam artist. I just feel as though when I'm clearly questioning how expensive it is and for 1. given miscommunication from many employees and then 2. Having verbal in person conversation where I ask and confirm that it's $125 and how I still chose to go here even though I had another apt that was cheaper but have me fill out basic information in case "anything changed" that all fees would have been discussed. My fault though for not reading the apparent "fine print" which I still do not know which paper I signed that stated that. Go elsewhere! read more

Never been here before but I just needed to get my glasses adjusted a little bit because they sat a little too high on my face. I didn't even buy the glasses from here but they adjusted it for me for free and were really careful with it. The first adjustment didn't work so the guy adjusted it a second time and now they fit perfect. He deserve a raise. I was in and out within 15 minutes and everyone else was really nice too. Really like this place to get my annual check up. Instead of having your eyes dilated, they have a special machine that for an extra $30 it takes pictures of your retina without dilation!! That right there is a big win for me! The doctors are very friendly as is the front desk staff. They have their own parking lot that is shared with a handful of other businesses.
