I have a super nice 2018 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited with Navigation. It has 107000 miles and runs Excellent. They came back and said all they would give was $7500.00 for it on trade. That is a total insult and yes, I told them. I also said they were crazy and plain stupid to think I would let it go for nothing. So, if you are looking for a vehicle DO NOT go to or near the CAMA Dealers. Them and the Steven dealers in Harrisonburg have to be to be the very utmost worst car crooks there ever are and were. One of my worst nightmares is my car breaking down, leaving me stranded. Nope, I am totally incapable of handling such a situation with a sound mind, as I go into a panic mode and start crying uncontrollably. I know, it's ridiculous. The car that we were using was in the process of breaking down, but, luckily, we quickly researched to find that Valley Honda was a couple of miles away. Praying with all of our hearts, we were able to make it to the location. I am unsure if Ms. Jenna S. still works there, but I just have to say that she just made our experience so amazing, from beginning to end. With such an unfortunate turn on our luck, she was able to check-in with us and made sure that we were taken care of throughout the whole process. She went through all the services we needed, explained everything in great detail, and answered each and every one of our questions. She was honest, extremely transparent, and even hooked us up with a courtesy car due to the longer service time. There was also no rush in getting back to the dealership, as we were kept posted in terms of the ETA; we were still able to do what we initially set out to do, without wasting too much time. Valley Honda has been great to deal with always friendly and willing to work with you. Honda vehicles are reliable and absolutely fantastic on gas. Maintenance on them is comparable in pricing and most of the time a fairly easy fix. I have owned at least two vehicles from Honda and if you take care of them - they will last you a very long time. Valley Honda also offers a ride variety of model types which is nice if your family dynamic or needs change. I particularly recommend the Civic, Fit, and Passport. read more

This rating refers to an incident that happened this past week over a yearly inspection . After I passed, I headed out on local streets to Waynesboro ( non highway speeds) and thought I noticed a tiny movement from the hood .....but decided no. Once leaving Waynesboro I jumped on I-64 at 70 mph that everyone was going....including the tractor trailer close behind ......when suddenly I notice my hood clearly has visible movement !! I'm no mechanic....but I immediately fear the hood isn't latched ....and have no idea how much can it take before breaking open ??!! No way I can reach a ramp .....heavy speeding traffic....truck on my bumper....can't slow down any meaningful amt....so the best I can manage....pull off in ditch . Not fond of exiting my car along highway....but no choice...and yes....Honda never latched my hood !!! I'm relieved I succeeded in surviving the problem.....but then my heart and brain freaked out at how I and many others could have died .....if the hood flew up...I slammed on brakes ....truck ran over me....cars scatter from our mess or the hood flying over my car into traffic . I began calling Honda to tell them about it....could only reach VM ....they still haven't returned my call days later ? The next day I was on my way to appt.....but pulled in to give personal description ....not to get something....but because I felt it was important that they knew this happened. The service tech listened....but didn't say a word of concern ? He did ask if I wanted to speak with the employee who serviced my inspection? One...I didn't have a moment to spare. Second....that's their job to address this very serious mistake with this person . Meanwhile.....I still haven't had my VM responded to and no reaction to the heart stopping incident ....maybe apology....maybe refund for my inspection ? I know nothing is immune from error.....but do I now have to check all tire lugs are tight, oil cap returned, hood latched ? Disappointing and heart still pounding. read more

Recently I had my Honda Ridgeline in for it's first oil change and tire rotation. My Service Tech was Angelique. I told her what I wanted which included installing rain guards. I bought a used Civic for my daughter at Valley Honda in Staunton. Overall the experience was OK. We found a car online and after talking with our sales person Brett on the phone decided to go to the dealership for a closer look. When we went out for a test drive the battery was dead. They were able to get the car started and we were told the battery problem was the result of not being started for awhile and it would be fine after a short drive. The drive test drive went well and we were able to get what I thought was a fair price (close to NADA). After we got the car home it seemed to start a little sluggishly and if my daughter left the radio playing or the lights on when the car was not running the problem got more pronounced. Come to find out the problem wasn't something that would go away with driving it was a bad battery. This Saturday was a cold morning and the battery could not start the car. We jumped started it and took it to Advance Auto and the battery tested bad. Looking back we should have asked the dealership to test the battery when it was dead for the test drive rather than just get the car started. It was a $152 mistake that the dealership could have helped us avoid. read more

While on a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway my Honda Accord experienced a complete failure of the electronic power steering. Honda resurfaced my rotors and charged me $360 because they said it was fine to do. Since then I have had it back to them 2 more times for the same problem within 4 months and not even 9k miles later they are saying that I need to replace them all together. If I pay them $600 then they will throw in the rotors. They told me the rotors are over $300 however, I was able to get the brakes and rotors for $250. Casey said I just want things done for free. NO Casey I paid you guys $360 for a service that you said would last for a good while. I'm not a mechanic so I took your word for it. Your word is NO good. So, now I'm stuck with having to buy rotors and you forgot to tell me I should replace the brakes if I am replacing the rotors. You guys are suppose to be professional. Well, you guys are true professionals at screwing people out of money. So, I would never recommend anyone to you. My boyfriend has a Ford and takes it to Jim Snead and has never had a problem with the work or being screwed out of money. I hope I get a survey. read more

Not writing about service (five stars). Writing about FREEZING COLD conditions and horrid rock music. Yes, it is summer. Doesn't mean I want to have to wait for my car in ARCTIC conditions. I know there are a lot of burly men running this place...but their customers are sedentary, not moving, and hence, it would be nice to have a temperature in the 70s (feels like 49 degrees in here, seriously, one sweater and one sweatshirt and my fingers are turning blue and my nose red). Then there is the horrid rock music that's blasting overhead. How can they sell cars in this environment? I want to just run out the door. But they are nice, and I need my car back, so I stay, uncomfortably. read more

Be wary when buying a used car. Yes, they helped us find a car. Yes, they worked with us on price. They're salespeople; they are in business to do business, so I would expect as much. I felt sufficiently happy driving our car off the lot, but that didn't last. Before we left, they said, "We stand by our reputation and will not sell you a piece of junk." Granted, they didn't sell us junk, but... Literally BEFORE WE GOT HOME, the Tire Pressure System warning light came on. We stopped and checked tire pressure, but all tires were fine. So, my mechanic confirmed the system is broken and not worth replacing. Within the first 7 days of driving the car, something popped and started rattling. We had to spend $400 for a new rear suspension, which my mechanic (who I've used for 8 years) said was about to fall apart. Additionally, within 10 days of driving, the engine started making a metal-on-metal grinding sound at startup. My mechanic said it could be nothing, but it could be major. To investigate, he would have to charge us numerous hours of labor to take the engine apart to find it. So far, nothing bad is happening by the noise if still there. Take the review as a whole; we got a car for the price we wanted, it just came with a couple of issues we had to immediately address. read more

We have been here on multiple occasions and have never been let down. My wife and I originally went there in search of a new car and were not let down. They were more than willing to work with us and helped us find a great car at an adorable price. They also have a fantastic service station. Several months after buying the car we noticed weird engine noises and eventually took the car to the dealership to both service the car and have the problem looked at. When they couldn't find the problem they did not charge us for that part of the service and only for the regular service. On a following visit they were quick to find and repair the problem. While there was another issue that required a part they gave us a loaner and the car was ready to pick up the next day. The employees here are very courteous and friendly. Overall I completely recommend this dealership for anyone seeking a new car or want their automobile serviced. Very affordable. read more

What a difference a year makes!!! After a somewhat dicey experience in May of 2014 I decided to again give Valley Honda a try for the service needs of my Civic LX. I went back because I think there is considerable value in having Honda trained service technicians working on the brand of car they know best. This time Valley Honda was superb. I was greeted promptly upon my arrival. The work was promptly completed while I was test driving an new CRV. The final bill for my service and state inspection was slightly less than the pre-service estimate they had sent me by e-mail the previous day. How often does that happen?
