I am so appreciative to the Valley Cycle team. They have always been very responsive to my needs. I bought a UTV from them a year ago and we lost the key recently. I couldn't find any second key (I had not labeled it) and assumed we never got one. They came to my home, picked up the UTV and brought it back the same day with two new keys at a more than reasonable price (I don't live far from them). That evening I found the old spare key! Needless to say, I let them know and wanted to make good but they were so kind and I am so glad that they were there when we needed them and willing to bend over backwards for me, even when I was ultimately in wrong. read more

I truly hope things have improved in the service deparment since I took my Suzuki Intruder 1500 here for the fuel tank recall. When I took the bike in I was getting just under 30mpg, which is lower than normal fuel economy to begin with for this particular model - but normal for the fact that it has drag pipes and the carbs have been jetted. I asked, when I took it in, if they could see if there was a way to improve the fuel economy of the bike. When it came out, all it did was backfire, lose power and fuel economy tanked down to 22 mpg - exactly the opposite of what I was looking for. When I moved to NC, this dealership had to track me down for my registration information because they hadn't taken it down to complete their paperwork to get reimbursed for the recall. This was not a particularly recent visit, but the only visit I made to this dealership, and it will be the last. I recently had the bike fixed, correcting the problems that started the day I took it home from this dealer that had made the bike such a thorn in my side since. This is not to say the motorcycles they sell aren't any good, I would be very cautious about them handling my service needs if things haven't changed since my visit. read more

It blows my mind how this business gets a 4 star rating. I had taken my Polaris atv there for service a first time 3 years ago, and all went well. Last year I figured I'd call them again and set up a service appointment. As an existing client in their system, I would expect to be attended properly, but I was told bluntly that they were 'sooo busy', they couldn't even set a future date for service, and I should contact them later in the season. This year I figured I would give it another shot, and call for an appointment. Apparently they weren't that busy anymore and I set it this up for the following week. On the agreed day, I drive 45 minutes to get there, and on arrival I am being told that 'the boss' now issued a new rule since last weekend that the ATV's can't have mud on it for servicing ! Whereas I somewhat get that (but an ATV really !?), they do have my phone and could have given me a heads up. The service person says he didn't take my appointment and therefor 'wasn't in charge'. Eventually I drove back and wasted 2 hours of my time and the car's gas. I must say staff in this business is generally friendly, but true customer service starts at the top and trickles through to the associates. It seems service approach here is more determined by the 'anti-customer ordnance of the week', ...one week it's the 'we're too busy for you' week, and the next it's the 'new condition for business' week... Stay away people ! Oh yes, they'll probably not throw all this crap at you when you walk in for some new purchase...it starts going downhill from there though.... read more

VCC has had my trail bike down there for going on 2 months now for fairly straight maintenance. The service department is a gagel and horrible about returning calls when you are checking on status of your bike. My bike was not getting anything major done and its been almost 2 months. They seem to have some issues communicating internal with there Techs on who's working on what. They are real pricey too, I would stay away from this place especially if you are looking for a great, time respecting service department. read more

take it or leave it service - they sold me a bad winch install kit - less then 2 weeks old the winch will power in but not out - Hollys solution isnt to just get me the $40.00 contactor and take care of it - she is telling me I have to trailer my machine 2 hours - drop my machine off - drive 2 hours back - wait for them to "diagnose" it then repeat the scenario to pick it back up. this is a terrible dealer- once you buy it you can expect to be on your own - WHO WOULD DO THIS?? this shows how much holly cares - its truly a simple problem and a simple solution - I have friends that have similar experiences - I suspect you will read about them here read more

Tried to Bring my Polaris ranger yesterday to be repaired. Not knowing this business is closed on a Monday which is my fault for not checking the website. When I arrived the gentleman came out and told me they were closed on Mondays and I asked if I could leave my side-by-side and he said they didn't recommend that because it would have to stay out in the parking lot and someone could steal it. I told him thanks for the tip and I'll bring it back tomorrow to drop it off to be repaired and he agreed that was a good decision. Nice guy. Drove from Charles Town For a second day and when I arrived and talked to the lady and service first thing she asked was if I had made an appointment. I said I was just here yesterday and you guys were closed and I told Schurman I would bring it back tomorrow and he didn't mention anything about having to have an appointment. So I told the lady I would like to make an appointment and leave the side-by-side and she said I could not leave it that they didn't have room. So when I explain to her what the gentleman had said to me the day before she said well he's not involved with the service department and doesn't know our procedures. So I said are you sure there's no way possible I can leave it because I've made two trips from Charles town and she said no. At that point I said I'll take my business elsewhere which she proceeded with and laughed at me on the way out the door after I also said you're doing a good job at losing my business. I bought that side-by-side used about nine months ago which was purchased at this location along with a winch, and snowplow. Which by the way I called last winter before a big snow to see if they could help me install that plow and get the accessories to do so and they said that plow has been discontinued and Polaris no longer supports that product. I have also bought parts from this location. So after the previous owner and I's expenses as well as all the service involved over the years through the previous owner I would venture to say there's about $20,000 worth of business into this vehicle purchased from Valley cycle. I come from the old school where the customer is always right and I like to think that businesses actually want my business and will make arrangements to make some concessions to help out their customers. I was wrong. So Valley Cycle, you lost my business. Buyer beware. read more

The did have a lower price online, and wouldn't budge on the floor price until I showed them their "online" price, which they did match at that point. I completed an online request for information on a Polaris Outlaw 50-Pink and did not hear from anyone for a few days. On the website it said they had a pink one in stock. I decided to call the dealership yesterday. David answered and said I was on his list of people to call. I asked about the PINK Polaris 50 and he said that he has it in stock and "I'm looking at it right now. It's 50 feet from me." I asked about the price and he said he would have to call me back. After waiting 3.5 hours I decided to call back. I have been looking for this four-wheeler and didn't want to miss our chance to buy it. When I called back he still didn't have the numbers for me. He said it would be sold at full MSRP $2,299 plus tax. I saw on their website they make a big deal about offering a military discount so asked how much that would take off the price. He said $50.00, which is a little more than 2% off. He said the cost would be somewhere close to $2,500 out the door. I told him my daughter and I would be there this morning. We were so excited to have found this pink atv for her. This morning I got a text from David that basically said: Please note that the one in stock is grey with lime green trim and pricing is $2,904.73 out the door. When I asked why he said the day before it was pink and only 50 feet from him he said there was a pink glove laying on it and it was an honest mistake. He thought it was pink. Most people who work in a dealership know their inventory. Also he said he didn't add in tax, title, freight and processing fees. Am I buying a car or an ATV for a 6 year old? I am extremely disappointed in this entire situation. Maybe it was an honest mistake but one that should have never been made. I know these pink ATV's are hard to come by and something doesn't seem right about this situation. Now we are back to square one after getting our hopes up that she would be driving it today. read more

I visited VCC on the recommendation of a friend and I wasn't disappointed. There was a good selection of new and used bikes and the sales staff have a good balance between helping you out and letting you browse around without bothering you. I spotted a used Honda that I particularly liked but I left without making a decision. I made my mind up later that evening and put an offer on the bike via Valleys website which was accepted almost immediately. When I picked the bike up the following weekend, it had been polished up, serviced and inspected and was ready to go with a full tank of gas. The girl who works in the accessories dept (Amanda, I think) was knowledgable about helmets and jackets and when I stumped her with a question about UV protection on a face shield, she went and found out the answer on the Internet. I HIGHLY recommend Valley Cycle Center if you're looking for a bike/atv in the Northern VA area. I made the hour trip to Valley after other dealerships in the DC area couldn't get within $500 of what Valley had the leftover Z800 listed at. I spoke with Dave Lupton on the phone while I was at another dealership and he gave me a no hassle, no BS price out the door and it was clear no one would beat Valley's deal. Dave was extremely helpful throughout the process and made the experience a great one. We decided to roll some gear into the deal and Richie at the parts desk was more than happy to assist us with grabbing some helmets and Jackets and referred us to Amanda who was very knowledgeable about bluetooth intercom systems. Amanda was more than happy to find us the right product with the right price. James, the GM, finished up all the paperwork with us and made sure everything was set up for us. We even spoke with Tim, another salesman, right before we left and he gave me a Kawasaki shirt from his desk and both he and Dave gave some stuffed animals to my two kids who had been waiting patiently. I couldn't be happier with the deal I got or the experience I had. Everyone at Valley deserves kudos for a job well done. Because of the great I experience I had buying, I'll certainly make the drive back for maintenance in the future. I have no doubt their maintenance folks will be as great as everyone else there! Have never had a bad experinece . Things really improved since they now have a new service manager. I didnt buy my bike here, but I have always had it serviced here. They are typically right on the quoted price for service with the new service manager. Friendly and knowledgable staff, especially in parts , they recommended I change my tire size the last time I bought tires and it made a huge difference over the stock tire size my bike came with . Just plain ol bad. I've tried buying a motorcycle from these people 3 times. This last go around the price of the bike was $9399.00 on the sticker. I submitted a credit app and they got me approved, only needed to turn in my paycheck stubs. Sent that in, the next day I was told the bike went up $500 dollars and this is a 2012 left over model, and the price goes up. So I'm trying to talk to Teresa the finance manager and Dave the sells guy and they both all but told me to shut my mouth and let them talk. These people are just bad, they treat their customers like crap, and your money doesn't mean a thing to them. They can take it or leave it, they will not budge on prices and if they do it's so very low it wouldn't make a difference. I was trading my bike in on this new bike. They were going to give me $2300 for my 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom. They said they needed me to also put down $1000 in cash because they don't count my trade in which is paid for, as money down. I have never heard of this before. These people are just plain ol Shysters. A couple of friends warned me not to do business with Valley Cycle Center but I didn't listen. Well I am a believer now. They are crooks. No two ways about it. And that's not the worst of it, I took my bike to their shop to get it inspected. The mechanic looked at my bike and said he couldn't inspect it because the windshield was not DOT approved. I asked if I could borrow a wrench to take it off and he said no, no problem, I can dig it. I took it over to the Harley dealership right across the street and told them what the mechanic said and boy was I surprised when the Harley mechanic pointed to the DOT sticker on my windshield, inspected, and passed my bike. My buddy took his bike to Valley Cycle Center to inquire about his bike constantly back firing. The mechanic told him not to worry about it, that's normal. Once in a while is normal, not every time he decelerates. These guys are just bad, plain ol bad. read more
