Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie!
Kristen M.

My family has been driving 20min to go to Valley Catering, on and off for many years. They have great egg sandwiches, and tasty deli sides (great for sides at a BBQ or even just to have in the fridge to add to lunch). Valley also has a delicious peanut butter chocolate pie! I feel like sometimes peanut butter pies/cakes can be very heavy and overwhelming, but Valley's pie is actually nice and light! They use lk a whipped peanut butter that's very delicious. Definitely recommend!

Their famous fried chicken. Overcooked.

I was looking forward to the food here but the experience did not live up to the hype. I ordered delivery and while it arrived early, I can see why. I ordered the 10 piece fried chicken family meal it came with 2 sides. We chose Corn on the Cob, sweet potatoes and added creamed spinach. Creamed Spinach would have been better if I went to Boston Market. The chicken was very dry and apparently overcooked. I regret not cooking tonight. The sweet potatoes should have been described as MASHED or Baby Food. Not good at all. Similar to hospital food. A weird taste. My daughter requested these and did not touch them. Corn on the COB. Was not on the cob. Merely canned corn with lots of water in the container. My daughter said " mommy there's too much water in the corn". Food was bland and not flavorful at all. Water literally from the corn now under a bridge. Clearly they don't value new customers.

Supposed ham; salami n swiss sub.

Do they not know how hero's and subs are made these days. Jeesh. Was too skimpy on the meat in the sub. It didn't even cover the bread end to end width wise not to mention length wise. I ordered ham, salami n Swiss and barley received enough meat if I ordered one meat. $11.25 for what. There are way too many dell's out there piling the meat on a subs for the same or cheaper prices. My usual go-to places make them where u can barely open you mouth wide enough to take a bite. Won't make this mistake again

Prices on pies went way up but I still like the food here. Deli is the best. Don't hesitate to try the hot foods.

All they had to do is keep the same staff who knew what you wanted and how you liked it. And not change anything. When the gold mine is cranking do nothing except keep it going. When the formula is working, keep it. But no. They had their own ideas, bad work ethic and ruined this once great place. I remember waiting 20 minutes minimum on a Sunday morning. They had 5-6 guys behind the counter and always 12-15 customers waiting. Now on a Sunday morning or any morning, you just walk in and place your order. Never more than three other customers. And now they're down to the short order cook and a young college age kid taking and making the orders. Nice kid but he doesn't know. Maybe trying his best but with this generation the best ain't much and when he cooks your egg sandwich it's hit and mostly miss. Early 2000s this place was a 5. Up until a month or so ago when they still had professional deli guys I'd give it a 2.5. The last couple weeks, I'll be generous and give the place a 1. Part of the recent downfall farther into the abyss of crappy delis, is likely the owner opening up a restaurant in town which no way I'll be trying. He's probably cutting corners there too. 10 bucks for a couple lousy egg sandwiches is one thing. 75 bucks for a couple lousy meals is another. For clarification I have not tried the restaurant and my hope is I am wrong about that.

Why have I not been here sooner?! A friend d who lives close by has mentioned Louisiana joes and I…read morecould kick myself for not coming here immediately! Louisiana joes looks like a small sandwich shop from the outside but inside it is a flavor factory. The staff was so warm and welcoming and were so helpful. We tried the pork sandwich, jambalaya and the Mac and cheese. There are so many great menu options, it was hard to choose. The jambalaya features shrimp, chicken and sausage. So flavorful and the portion size was excellent for the price. The pork sandwich was delicious - pork was super tender. But the star of the show - the Mac and cheese. We are Mac and cheese lovers and try it everywhere. Well congrats, Louisiana joes. You've officially taken the top spot for cheesy deliciousness. I just regret that we didn't add a protein. I wish they were open daily and had longer hours but I also love that they're not because the staff can have lives outside of work. Cannot wait to go back and try more!!!

I have yet to be disappointed by Louisiana Joe's Sandwich Shop. Everything thus far (*ahem 2…read moreitems*) has been flavorful and has opened my taste buds to wanting to try more. The first time I went here, I ordered their shrimp and grits. Simply put, it's delicious. I've been back a couple times just for that. On this visit, based off another Yelpers review, I decided to give the grilled cheese with the beef brisket a try. Sandwiched between two toasted and I want to say buttered (don't quote me on this) brioche sliced breads with Provolone cheese melted on the bottom half and cheddar oozing out on the top half is the perfectly tender and healthy serving of seasoned beef brisket. I had to eat it as soon as I got it to savor in the moment and experience it in its true form. Hot and cheesy. The two cheeses brought the sandwich together nicely creating a savory dance on your tongue. The cheese literally oozes out with eat bite. As good as it was, I know it will not be a frequent meal to grace my belly, because personally, it's just too much meat *for me*. Considering this, I ate the whole sandwich in one sitting. I'm not usually a brisket person, but I was willing to give this one a try. Cheese, meat, and bread, sign me up. It is a lot to eat as far as the meat is concerned, so if you're not a crazy meat eater, don't be surprised if you only have room to eat half if not one full slice. I also wanted to try their corn nuggets, which looks like fried corn bread but rolled into a ball, but they didn't have it that day. I left feeling a little deflated at that, but my belly was full. I doubt whether I would have been able to eat that along with my shrimp and grits. Note: the longer you wait to eat it, the Colder it gets and its not as good as the first couple of bites *IMO* When the mood hits, I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.
