    Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie!
    Kristen M.

My family has been driving 20min to go to Valley Catering, on and off for many years. They have great egg sandwiches, and tasty deli sides (great for sides at a BBQ or even just to have in the fridge to add to lunch). Valley also has a delicious peanut butter chocolate pie! I feel like sometimes peanut butter pies/cakes can be very heavy and overwhelming, but Valley's pie is actually nice and light! They use lk a whipped peanut butter that's very delicious. Definitely recommend!

    Their famous fried chicken. Overcooked.

I was looking forward to the food here but the experience did not live up to the hype. I ordered delivery and while it arrived early, I can see why. I ordered the 10 piece fried chicken family meal it came with 2 sides. We chose Corn on the Cob, sweet potatoes and added creamed spinach. Creamed Spinach would have been better if I went to Boston Market. The chicken was very dry and apparently overcooked. I regret not cooking tonight. The sweet potatoes should have been described as MASHED or Baby Food. Not good at all. Similar to hospital food. A weird taste. My daughter requested these and did not touch them. Corn on the COB. Was not on the cob. Merely canned corn with lots of water in the container. My daughter said " mommy there's too much water in the corn". Food was bland and not flavorful at all. Water literally from the corn now under a bridge. Clearly they don't value new customers.

Supposed ham; salami n swiss sub.

Do they not know how hero's and subs are made these days. Jeesh. Was too skimpy on the meat in the sub. It didn't even cover the bread end to end width wise not to mention length wise. I ordered ham, salami n Swiss and barley received enough meat if I ordered one meat. $11.25 for what. There are way too many dell's out there piling the meat on a subs for the same or cheaper prices. My usual go-to places make them where u can barely open you mouth wide enough to take a bite. Won't make this mistake again

The best deli in the area. I've been going here for like 40 years. Everything is fresh, the food is fantastic and the lines are manageable.

There's so many sandwiches that you can pick from, they let me say that everything here was stacked so much so that most people will not finish even one of their sandwiches, I suggest they do offer wraps, rather than rolls and hero,, I highly recommend the Terminator grilled cheese sandwich, it's more than just grilled cheese. They stack it with ham, and it's a meal within itself, obviously I had the godfather and I got it on an Italian hero and yes I was full after just Eating half the sandwich, my favorite overall was surprisingly the Sharon stone, it's barbecue chicken. It was flavorful, delicious, if you'd like a little spice, I recommend the Broadway,,, The grand slam was also very good, anything that you ordered here you'll be more than satisfied,, the portions are huge, and his prices are very reasonable

I went to Tulip Deli on two separate occasions and had two completely different experiences -- one…read moredecent, one terrible. The first time I went (on a Friday evening), I ordered a Greek salad and had a good experience. The worker was polite, asked if I was okay with all the ingredients, and made sure I got what I wanted -- no chicken, dressing on the side, etc. He even chopped the salad for me without me asking, which I appreciated. The salad was pretty good, just heavy on the olives, but overall I left satisfied enough to come back a second time. The salad was listed as $13.99, but I was charged $15.82 -- which felt overpriced for what it was, but I let it slide since the portion was large. Then I went back on Sunday, and it was a completely different story. Two different workers were there, neither greeted me or said hello. I told them I wanted a Greek salad with no olives and no chicken. One of them immediately went to add chicken, and when I reminded him "no chicken, no olives," he said the olives were already in there. The other worker said, "It comes with olives," and they didn't bother to make it right. When I got my salad, it was barely 20% lettuce and mostly huge chunks of tomato and onion -- not chopped, not tossed, and not at all like the first one I had. It was honestly frustrating and disappointing, especially after paying over $15 again. I decided to call and let the owner know -- not to get a refund, just to share my experience. Instead of listening, he cut me off mid-sentence and talked over me, saying, "Lady, I rang you up -- that's how we make our salads." He went on about how he's been there 40 years and no one has ever complained, and basically dismissed everything I was saying. When I finally got a chance to speak, I explained that I only called because I had two completely different experiences within two days. He eventually said he'd "make sure his workers ask customers if they want it chopped," but in a very sarcastic, passive way. The way I was spoken to on the phone was rude and unprofessional. I've lived in this area for over 25 years, and this was my first time trying Tulip Deli -- and unfortunately, it'll also be my last. Maybe others have had better experiences, but for me, between the inconsistent food quality, overpriced salad, and dismissive customer service, I can't recommend this place.
