03012025 Girlfriend and I went in for a quick cuppa before our lunch reservation at Market. The place is nice and light in ambiance. The lady behind the counter was friendly and acknowledged that she'll be with us soon. As a designer, I liked their menu artwork. It's nice and simple and not overly complicated. I ordered a flat white with almond milk. The cost plus tip was under $7 which was a nice change compared to the cost of everything lately. The coffee itself was good and it's comparable to what I've had in London. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in need of coffee and a big plus, they also serve food.

Double espresso expresso whatever. Nice crema!

Best espresso in town. I like coming here for breakfast or lunch the most. Nice egg dishes and sandwiches. The staff are really nice. Great beers on tap too. I am so happy they make almost a European style espresso compared the squid ink hipster shit that some people make. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The Valley Cafe had their grand opening without fail! So happy to have them open, back in the saddle, better than ever. Great changes yo a wonderful place.

Parm Fry's mmmmm

I had to go back and give them a second chance and I am Happy to say that the fry sitch has changed at the Valley Cafe. Service is great and food was good. Had the parm fry's and chicken wings. Seemed a little dead for Wednesday but I'm sure they are packed on weekends. Nicely decorated for Halloween!

Great concept! Among all the pretentiousness of St. Helena's Main Street this is an oasis of friendly service and quality food.

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

In a valley known for wine, it's refreshing to have a space that caters to everyone, wine lovers,…read morebeer lovers, and even those who prefer non-alcoholic options. Erosion has truly created something special and inclusive for our community. One of my favorite things is the flexibility: you can grab a flight of wine, beer, OR ice cream (yes, ice cream flights!) to share or enjoy on your own. There's literally something for every mood, every palate, and every friend you bring with you. Their events are always a blast, line dancing nights, trivia, seasonal pop-ups... it brings so much life to St. Helena. I love that they host these on a monthly basis because it gives locals something fun to look forward to. The space is always clean, inviting, and has such a good vibe. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely makes you feel at home. Erosion is small, family-owned, and family-run, and you can feel that level of care and pride in everything they do. And let's talk about the food, I'm obsessed with the wraps and the paninis, and the queso frijole is a must. Simple, delicious, and perfect with a beer or a glass of wine. Erosion has truly become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. It's relaxed, fun, unique, and exactly what St. Helena needed. If you haven't stopped by yet, do it, you'll understand why this place has such a loyal following.

One half is more bar-focused, the other more dessert/ice-cream-focused--and yes, you can wander between them with whatever you've ordered in hand. Grab an ice cream flight, then carry it over to the bar side; or take your beer to the shop section. It's casual, fun, and very flexible. The ice cream flight was a big hit with the kiddo-in-tow--you get to sample several flavors at once, including some unusual and fun options, which is always better than committing to just one. On the bar side, the beer selection was good, and there's also a bottle shop in the back with rare bottles you can take home, which adds a nice dimension if you're looking to bring something special back. Service was friendly throughout, and the atmosphere strikes a good balance--relaxed without being sloppy. If you're in St. Helena, it's a solid spot to cool off, grab a drink or some ice cream, and sit and chat before or after dinner.

Gorgeous setting and delicious food. Could improve on personalization…read more I've been a member at Clif Family for years and finally splurged to try their Enoteca Pasta e Vino experience. It is a 5-course luncheon with wine pairings hosted in their private enoteca overlooking the vines, complete with a personal attendant and private chef to curate the experience. The food was delicious, the wine selection was superb--including their Howell Mountain Cabernets (Cold Springs, Croquet, and Cima)--and the private room was the perfect intimate space. It was such a relief to have a private area where I didn't have to worry about disturbing other guests while having an infant in tow! However, I'm giving this experience 4 stars instead of 5 because it felt surprisingly generic for a winery that typically excels at personalization. In advance of our reservation, I was sent a questionnaire requesting our music preferences and celebration details, but neither were acknowledged during the visit. Why ask for that information if it isn't going to be used? It felt like a missed opportunity to make the experience truly magical. Overall, it was a good experience with top-tier food and wine, but I expected a bit more of that "Clif Family magic" when it came to the details.

How have I never left a review??? This is my go to in Napa. The pups love their michelin dining…read moretoo! We generally opt for the patio since we take the pups everywhere. The patio is not crazy hot in the summer as it is shaded. I've tried both the tasting and the prix fixe with add-ons ofc. There is nothing I don't like, but I do have a few favs, such as the pig ears and the caviar pretzel. I can't remember too much, I am typically buzzed by the time I arrive and drink more along the way... We ended up having our reception at Press in one of the more enclosed patio areas, and it was so lovely to be able to share the lovely food and drinks with my favorite people and all our dogs! The staff was super attentive and made me an extra special menu to take home in addition to all the customized menus. Shout out to Frankie for hosting us so perfectly. Everyone had an awesome time and could not stop raving about the food and the service. FYI the patio can be closed in the winter. I can't wait to be back in Napa and Press!

Once I read that Philip Tessier took over I was intrigued. Tessier has the distinct honor of winning one of the most prestigious fine dining team competitions in the world. And he delivered in SPADES! Our experince was amazing. The dining area is an exercise in warmth and style without pretense. It is a place you would perfectly at home in a sport coat or jeans with polo. The dining room has lots neutra browns, tans and white. Class with comfort in mind. Press also has some outdoor seating which would be great on a warm Napa day or night. The food is amazing! Everything I sampled was very good to excellent. My favorites: - Cold Gazpacho Soup with Rice Foam: This amuse-bouche was simply amusing! The rice foam really provided a nice lingering finish. - Steak Tartare with Garbanzo Bean Tapenade: By far my favorite dish! The texture of the waygu tartare was wonderful. It reminded me of firm fresh tuna for some reason. Combined with the salted soft toasted bread. I could of eaten it as my main. -Fogile de fava: This was a close second for me. The fogile was cooked to al dente perfection. And EVERYTHING tastes better with black truffle butter! - Ribeye: Perfect medium rare! The sugar snap peas were garden fresh and provide nice texture and sweet balance. -Drinks: I had the Pinot and my girl had the Chardonnay. Both were excellent! The sommelier took great care in choosing his wines by the glass because each paired nicely with corresponding dishes on the menu. Well done! Service was impeccable. The greeter was friendly and seated us right away. Our waiter was good with suggestions and descriptions of food/beverages. Each dish was presented with corresponding descriptions. Water glasses never empty. Pacing was just right. All things you expect from a Michelin restaurant. Bravo Press!!! I hope you get your **.
