03012025 Girlfriend and I went in for a quick cuppa before our lunch reservation at Market. The place is nice and light in ambiance. The lady behind the counter was friendly and acknowledged that she'll be with us soon. As a designer, I liked their menu artwork. It's nice and simple and not overly complicated. I ordered a flat white with almond milk. The cost plus tip was under $7 which was a nice change compared to the cost of everything lately. The coffee itself was good and it's comparable to what I've had in London. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in need of coffee and a big plus, they also serve food.

Double espresso expresso whatever. Nice crema!

Best espresso in town. I like coming here for breakfast or lunch the most. Nice egg dishes and sandwiches. The staff are really nice. Great beers on tap too. I am so happy they make almost a European style espresso compared the squid ink hipster shit that some people make. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The Valley Cafe had their grand opening without fail! So happy to have them open, back in the saddle, better than ever. Great changes yo a wonderful place.

    Parm Fry's mmmmm

I had to go back and give them a second chance and I am Happy to say that the fry sitch has changed at the Valley Cafe. Service is great and food was good. Had the parm fry's and chicken wings. Seemed a little dead for Wednesday but I'm sure they are packed on weekends. Nicely decorated for Halloween!

Great concept! Among all the pretentiousness of St. Helena's Main Street this is an oasis of friendly service and quality food.

What a great find in St. Helena! We discovered The Saint…read morejust passing by during our latest trip to the Napa Valley last month. It looked like a nice place, and we decided we would return the following day for a visit. We came in for some drinks and to enjoy the swanky interior. Dark, sexy vibes, very nicely done. It was on the emptier side when we visited, partly because it was earlier in the afternoon, and partly because people were elsewhere watching the final rounds of the World Cup, but that was fine with us, because we got out lovely bartender basically all to ourselves. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was terrific, friendly, engaging, and down-to-earth. He made us some great drinks (lemon drop for me, tequila & lime for my partner - we're such one trick ponies), and later showed us around the place. There is a lot of history in the building. It used to be a bank back in the day (and by 'back in the day' I mean the 1800's), and it still has the original vault. Beyond the vault door, there is a speakeasy-style dining room that would be absolutely perfect for a private event. We didn't try any food this time, they only had light bites on offer at that time of the day, but the dinner menu looks promising, and I look forward to having a full meal here upon our next visit. Downtown St. Helena is a bit out of the way of our usual stops in Napa, but I would make a special trip for this spot again.

Erosion has truly created something special and inclusive for our community. One of my favorite things is the flexibility: you can grab a flight of wine, beer, OR ice cream (yes, ice cream flights!) to share or enjoy on your own. There's literally something for every mood, every palate, and every friend you bring with you. Their events are always a blast, line dancing nights, trivia, seasonal pop-ups... it brings so much life to St. Helena. I love that they host these on a monthly basis because it gives locals something fun to look forward to. The space is always clean, inviting, and has such a good vibe. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely makes you feel at home. Erosion is small, family-owned, and family-run, and you can feel that level of care and pride in everything they do. And let's talk about the food, I'm obsessed with the wraps and the paninis, and the queso frijole is a must. Simple, delicious, and perfect with a beer or a glass of wine. Erosion has truly become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. It's relaxed, fun, unique, and exactly what St. Helena needed. If you haven't stopped by yet, do it, you'll understand why this place has such a loyal following.

The thinly sliced cucumber and pluot added incredible freshness without disrupting the texture, balanced perfectly with just the right amount of acidity and sumac tartness. Star of the night! * American Wagyu Steak Tartare & Raclette Fondue: Both were fantastic, rich, and well-executed. The Main Course: * Dry-Aged Kurobuta Pork: The only real downside of the meal. Even accounting for pork having more texture, it was surprisingly tough for dry-aged Kurobuta. The accompanying pork cheek confit was melt-in-your-mouth tender, but lacked depth of flavor compared to how vibrant the earlier dishes were. Worth a visit for the starters and great service and very good atmosphere --just wish the main matched the high bar set by the rest of the menu! The patio was beautiful but if you cannot do warm temperature, highly recommend sitting inside since I personally was struggling due to heat.

While it's pretty, very clean, and the waitress was lovely, there's not much else positive I can say about the experience. We had an 8:30 reservation, ordered the 4 course meal with out the wine pairing (and added the pretzel) and didn't finish until 11pm! I'm all for an experience meal but we had SO much time between courses. Considering everyone orders almost the same menu I don't understand what could possibly take so long. There were tons of staff walking around, making sure to place your courses on the table at the same time as the rest of your party, and pouring the same broth/oil thing on every dish, and yet we had about 30 minutes of just waiting time in between courses. By 10pm I had had enough, but we were 2/4 dishes into our dinner and I wishfully thought it would be over soon. I ordered a hot tea to give me something to do. By the time dessert came out, I had 1 bite and had to go to the car and left my husband to get the check. Aside from the sheer length of this meal, my husband and I both agreed that it was actually disgusting (something we have rarely both thought). We have been to MANY nice restaurants, including other Michelin star restaurants, as well as many course pre fixe menus (in the states and outside) and while we are no strangers to fine dining trends (foams and consummes etc.) I've never experienced food like this before. To start off we were offered a chilled corn soup with corn foam on top as a "gift" from the chef. It was fine, not my favorite but I appreciated the foam aspect of making this Michelin star. Afterwards we ordered the pretzel with some kind of cheese and caviar on top. This did taste good, it was kind of a Rye tasting pretzel with a cream cheese and lox tasting spread. We ate all of that (for $75 at least it was edible). Then began our 4 course meal (thank god we didn't do the 7 course meal or we may still be sitting there). It started with a tomato dish, that was okay, one kind of tomato was good the other wasn't, the broth they poured over it made it taste kind of fishy, I only ate half of it. Second course was a bowl of 3 Gnudis (seemed like a more delicate Gnocchi) and while the texture was delicate the flavor was SO rich and sharp I could only eat 1. Third course I opted for the vegetarian smoked zucchini dish, it was terrible and tasted so strange I've never been able to eat less of a vegetable before. For the 3rd course my husband got the chicken and did say that was good. For dessert I got the strawberry panna cotta type dish which was decent, my husband tried the cheese raclette dessert and said it was terrible. I have written very few 1 star reviews but this has to be said. Please do not waste your money. You couldn't pay me to experience this meal again.
