The service was impeccable , try the Chicha morada , the saltado was delicious and a huge portion. I also ordered the aji de Marisco. Do Not Do Dessert here !!! The flan was gross it tasted nasty. The rice pudding has no flavor and it has raisins in it . I strongly dislike raisins. Go here for the food , it's worth it not dessert.

Leche de tigre was on point.

Milford's restaurant week was happening, and Costa Peru was on my list, so I decided to go there. My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Lomo Salado was also a hit; the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the tender Lomo meat practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was my first time trying it, and I was curious about the taste. Honestly, I didn't care much for the texture, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. My son picked the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, which was pretty good. It's not something I'd order again, but I'm glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu.

The menu clearly states that prices do not include tax, which is perfectly fine. My issue is not…read morewith paying tax, it's with how I was charged. The owner, who was working the register, charged me more than the menu prices plus tax. It appeared that she rounded up the total and added extra charges that didn't match the posted prices. When I asked the employees about the pricing, every one of them said they didn't know because only the owner handles the pricing. I asked for an itemized receipt because the total didn't seem right. Once the receipt was handwritten by her, it showed I had been overcharged, and the owner immediately had to issue me a refund. What was most frustrating was how casually the situation was handled, as if overcharging a customer was no big deal. If your costs have increased, update your menu prices. Don't charge one price on the menu and something different at the register, she claims she's charging you tax but she's rounding up amounts to the nearest dollar and even more on some items like the rotisserie chicken. She's stealing from her customers and then became upset and raised her tone of voice when she got caught. She's also not nice to the employees, you can tell they are afraid of her. My advice to anyone eating here: always ask for an itemized receipt and check your bill before you pay. Don't assume the total is correct just because the owner is ringing you up. There were also flies on the food served at the buffet so we asked for take out. The food was good but she ruined everything for us because she's very rude and unprofessional.

BEWARE!!! My family…read moreof four went to Las Delicias de mi Tierra (1262 Suffolk Ave, Brentwood) because my mom spoke highly of the food. Keep in mind--we were a group of four. The menu states in fine print: "We charge $5 + service tips when the party is 5 or more." My mother ordered a soup but found it tasted old. When we informed the waiter, he was attentive, and my mother even praised his excellent service. However, when the manager got involved, he told us that if we didn't accept the soup, the cost would be taken out of the waiter's pay. This is not only unethical but illegal--an employer cannot deduct an employee's wages over customer dissatisfaction. That should have been our cue to leave. Unfortunately, we stayed--and soon regretted it. When the bill arrived, we noticed they had wrongly applied the automatic gratuity to our group of four. My mother went to the register to respectfully point this out, holding the menu as reference. In response, the owner grabbed the menu from her hands and dramatically ripped it into pieces while declaring that all the prices were wrong. She assumed we were arguing about food prices when, in reality, we were only trying to correct the mistaken automatic gratuity charge. At no point did the restaurant have signage stating the menu prices were outdated, nor were we informed of any price changes. Still, the owner escalated the situation, became irate, and showed clear disgust when we questioned the automatic gratuity charge. As I tried to de-escalate, simply asking to be rung up so we could leave, she dismissively told me, "You are in a Spanish restaurant, speak Spanish." The microaggression was completely unwarranted. She then falsely accused us of harassing the waiter--despite our repeated praise of his service. When my mother reiterated how great he was, the owner sarcastically snapped, "If he's so good, why don't you take him home with you?" This restaurant may have "good" food, but the owner's hostility ruins the experience for anyone who dares to speak up. What should have been a simple correction of an incorrect automatic gratuity charge turned into an unnecessary escalation. After leaving, I checked Google reviews and found many others who had similar experiences with the owner's attitude. One of the co-owners, Christopher Goicochea, provides his personal number for complaints. When we called, his only response was, "What do you want me to do about it?" This lack of accountability is reflected in how the owners aggressively respond to negative reviews rather than addressing their behavior. If the restaurant wishes to dispute this review, I offer them to release the unedited restaurant footage and audio. Otherwise, I suggest they: - Clearly post signage if menu prices are outdated - Print updated menus - Encourage the owner/s to improve how they interact with customers and handle concerns more professionally If you value being treated with respect, AVOID THIS PLACE. For the record: After the automatic gratuity was corrected, we paid our bill in full and even left a cash tip for our wonderful waiter, who truly deserved it.

I was excited to learn it's the sister restaurant, owned by the same family, so my expectations were high...and they absolutely met! My family was visiting, and it was the perfect opportunity to finally try it. We started with the Ceviche Mixto and Grilled Octopus, both of which were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For our entrées, we ordered the Pollo a la Brasa, Adobo, and Tallarines a la Huancaína, and every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly executed. The cocktails were just as impressive...unique, creative, delicious, and every bit as good a expected. The service was warm and welcoming... and the entire experience felt like a true family restaurant. The biggest compliment? My 5-year-old nephew couldn't stop licking his fingers because he loved the food so much! I can't wait to come back and highly recommend Urubamba Pisco Bar to anyone looking for incredible Peruvian cuisine, amazing drinks, and exceptional hospitality.
