Overpriced glasses that are garbage. Purchased glasses here and in a couple of months the left temple (arm of the glasses) fell off. Than a couple weeks later the right temple fell off. They said since it was already fixed they couldn't fix the other arm because it's a limited warranty. The only thing this office has going for them is the friendly staff. Dr. Song has been my optometrist for as long as I can remember. Dr. Song is a great doctor with experience I only had to give my insurance information once making it so much easier to just show up on time to my appointment every other year and knowing that they are ready to see me. Dr. Song and staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful not to mention I only had to wait an hour for my prescription glasses and I really appreciate that. I've been going to this optometrist for the past 5+ years. Overall, everyone is really nice and professional. They have a good variety of glasses to choose from. Dr. Song is great! She's knowledgeable, communicates well and listens. She has always addressed all of my concerns. The lady that helped me choose my glasses/frames was really patient while I tried on everything. Two other ladies helped me with pricing and explaining the insurance for contacts and glasses. First Lady was really nice and explained things well. She was called to help another customer so a different lady with short hair came to continue. The second lady with short hair was rude and her tone was a bit loud when I wasn't understanding her. I wanted to walk out. If it wasn't for all the other positive interactions, I would've left and never came back. I felt really uncomfortable as if I was a customer dealing with a Karen worker. Me and my husband were clients for a very long time (over 7 years) and have to agree with a lot of the recent reviews. Customer service has gone downhill so terribly. The wait times are ridiculous. I've personally waited over an hour. The Dr and staff are always trying to upsell you and it gets uncomfortable. DO NOT GO TO THIS OPTOMETRIST! I came here to shop for new bi-focal sun glasses. The girl that helped me was very nice, no problem. The prices were marked on each pair, so I chose some that would be covered by my insurance. The optometrist informed me the marked price was incorrect, it would cost more. I agreed to pay the difference. The glasses would be ready in 7 days. They were ready...Yay...new glasses! As I tried them on I couldn't see. They had not followed the prescription & had not included the bifocal in the lens....they said" we thought you just wanted them for distance" You're kidding, right? So they will re-do it and it will be another 7 days. Yay...my new glasses were ready! I receive a call that the glasses were almost ready, but the lens got scratched, and it would not pass inspection at the lab and they have to re-make the lens...is this a joke or what? It will be another 7 days. okaaay...I'm getting my new glasses today, Yay! I arrive to pick them up, and the optometrist informs me that they were wrong again....this time they have made a tri-focal. I asked for my money back and still can't believe what incompetent people are at Valencia Optometric!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

My husband and I have been going here for years and really do like the doctor. That is where it ends! The rest of the place is a disaster. Trying to purchase glasses is like buying a car. Once you have gone through the entire process and finally get to pay, you have probably been there a good two hours plus (usually a half hour or so before you even see the doctor for your set appointment). That is all fine and good, but to have to keep calling to find out if your already paid for glasses are in is ridicules. This last time I got told that I was TEXTED that they were in almost two weeks ago. They TEXTED a LAND LINE! When did customer service become so poor that you don't actually call a person and offer to tell them? Unacceptable for what was over an $800 order out of pocket - that was after all the insurance company payments. Time to find a new doctor and not because of the doctor. Very sad. She needs a much better office manager. He is awful! read more

Walked in there with my husband to check out what kinds of frames they had because I was in the process of shopping around for new glasses. Walked in there and the asian man behind the desk said hi but didn't say anything further to us. A "Can I help you?" or "Would you like to try some styles on?" would have been acceptable. As I was walking around looking at all the different frames they had there (Got an added star because of the good frame selection they had) I noticed he kept looking at us with a scowl on his face as if we were going to steal something. Didn't want to give my business to someone like that so I went elsewhere. Gave my business to Lens Crafters in the mall and was very happy to do so. Nice people, but the service is horrible. I went in for an eye exam appointment and two hours later, I walked out seeing the doctor for 20 minutes and with no glasses. Then I went back and asked if they had contacts in stock to which he replied yes. After my transaction, he told me they would be there in 2 business days. Traveled up from Hollywood on the advice of a friend. Am planning on giving said friend a very nice bottle of wine, because my experience was beyond excellent. Dr. Song was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, she explained things to me about my sight and eye health I was completely unaware of, and doing so in a friendly, calm demeanor. The staff is patient and at no point did I feel like I was being up sold or directed towards a more expensive pair of frames. I really can't Rave enough about the team. I first met Dr Song when she worked at the Wal Mart Vision Center. I'm not sure how many years it's been, but quite awhile ago. Even though I no longer reside in the California area, on my visits out that way I schedule my appointments with her. She is extremely patient, caring and knowledgeable. The office has a great selection of frames and the lab does a fantastic job on the lenses. I have progressive lenses, I get the anti glare and reflective material added. I had a previous eye doctor and wasn't happy with my last visit so I decided to find a new one. I found Dr. Song on yelp and decided to give her a try. First thing I loved was that she was open on Saturdays and open late. The appointment was for my kids who are 5 and 3 . The whole office was friendly and welcoming upon us arriving. They all did so well with both kids. Dr. Song was so good with both kids and was able to compete a full eye exam (never done before). She is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My coworker recommended this place to me and I'm glad he did because it is a little gem. Very comfortable...and considerate staff. The doctor seemed to care about my exam. When I had a question about my night vision, she was very informative in explaining things to me and told me things that I would never have considered. Very very helpful to me. There was an enormous amount of frames...looked like thousands....and the woman helped me pick some Oakley's. They made them in about 40 minutes and I was shocked because I didn't even know they could. She really made an effort to help me and she gave me her personal opinion and I'm glad because other places always made me feel rushed. She even asked the doctor for her advice. My family likes my glasses and I will definitely take them to this doctor next time even though we are moving away. I will recommend this office to everyone.
