I would highly recommend getting the full day pass, early in the morning. Covers the gondola ride ($42!?) and gets you access to everything. Or pay full boat on the zip-line and that gets you access to everything for two days. From the alpine coaster to the Game Creek Zip-line to the nerve racking ropes course, this spot is great. The coaster was a favorite for the entire family, even my son that doesn't like any kind of ride. I think the ability to control the coaster was a big help. The Game Creek zip line was truly incredible. For those that are wavering on the experience, dig deep and do it! Be sure to book in advance and try your best to get the morning slot to avoid potential afternoon weather issues. The views are incredible and the zip lining is exhilarating. I've done zip lining in Maui and this was on par with that experience. Better in that the harness keeps you facing forward and not able to rotate, not as good because there's no ocean view. But the views of the mountains and valleys are a good substitute. Dave and Ryan were incredible guides; encouraging, knowledgeable and hilarious. Safety is the main focus, "they clip, you zip". One zip is just under half a mile (up to 60 mph) and another is over half a mile. And you get to ride a ski lift to the very top of the mountain. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The ropes course is more challenging than it may appear (or we just suck). My daughter and I did the first level up and that was enough for us. It wasn't the height (we've done courses that are 50 feet up), it was the instability of the course, which I guess is the point. Makes it much more challenging but she tapped after the first level. The only disappointment was the tubing. The ride up was more exciting. When you first launch, you're thinking that you're going to plummet down the slide but something with the way the course is set up keeps you from going very fast.

The biggest issue is the value. We paid around $200 per child, yet the price never seems to be adjusted when major attractions are closed or unavailable. The ropes course hasn't reopened since 2020, but it's still standing there, slowly deteriorating. The summer tubing hill has been reduced to just two lanes, while the rest is simply a dirt mound. The adult zip line is now closed as well. Year after year, there seem to be fewer attractions, yet the admission price continues to increase. Adventure Ridge used to be a highlight of our Vail vacations. Now it feels like you're paying premium prices for a much smaller experience. If you're considering visiting, keep your expectations low, because the pricing certainly won't be.

The only activities available to them were the trampoline, climbing wall, and mountain coaster--which is now limited to just three rides. Given that there were no lines during our visit and staff were literally sitting around, it felt unreasonable to restrict the coaster, especially given the amount of closed activities. Adding to the frustration, the rides that were not open were not clearly marked on their website or at the ticket counter, leaving families with far fewer options than advertised or communicated at the time of purchase. Unlike other resorts, Vail charges $64 per person for a ride that is operating regardless of ridership. Combined with the limited activities and lack of transparency, this left us feeling that we received little value for an extremely high price. Not worth the exorbitant price tag.

We were really looking forward to our ATV tour with Grand Adventures and showed up early for what…read morewe believed was our scheduled tour. Unfortunately, we had made an honest mistake and accidentally booked it for the following week--when we would no longer be in town. We immediately contacted the business while we were at the location, explained the situation, and asked about a refund or reschedule. We were told we could receive a refund minus a 7.5% fee--roughly $30--for "processing." When we kindly asked for a full refund, the staff member not only refused but claimed that because she had to be on the phone and "click a button," we had now cost the business money. She stood firm that no matter the situation, a 100% refund would not be given. It's one thing to have a policy. It's another to treat a customer's good faith mistake with zero flexibility and then blame the cost of customer service on them. We didn't use any equipment, take anyone else's spot, or cancel last minute--we simply misread the date and immediately tried to make it right. $30 is a small amount, but it speaks volumes about how this company handles honest errors. We will absolutely book with another adventure company next time we're in Winter Park--one that values people over rigid policy and doesn't treat a polite refund request like an inconvenience.
