As we had started the day off with some pastry, we opted to split a sandwich to cushion the blow of the alcohol we were about to consume. We had no idea it would be *this* delicious. We split a Lola - Roasted Turkey, Sharp Cheddar, Bacon Jam, Pickles, BBQ Chips, and a BBQ Aioli all served up on Golden Grilled Ciabatta Bread. The sandwich was phenomenal - great balance of flavors, fantastic variety of textures, and the perfect bread (it held together excellently but wasn't difficult to bite through which can so often be the case with Ciabatta). And to make it even better, it is amazing. Although Brazilian food is all about meat, they still thought about the vegetarians. They make some amazing grilled veggies plate and to die for grilled cheese. The cheese bread is also so good. My husband does eat meat and he loves it all, chicken, sausage and specially the steak. Absolutely delicious! Gourmet meals a la carte but prepared while you wait. We had a citrus pulled pork with a glaze served with a kale slaw, fried brussel sprouts with a delicious sauce, out-of-this-world dusted fries and bought a pint of their seasoned bone broth for a soup starter. While we waited, we toured the beautiful farm property along a pond and raised garden beds. We could have eaten there at picnic tables, but we took our food home to eat on our screened in porch. It's not often we say the word "amazing" about food, but this food truly was. We will definitely be making this our "go to" place this summer.

My wife got an iced mocha latte and enjoyed it. It did not become her new favorite but thought it was a solid version. It's not a cafe; there's no seating inside (it's barely big enough for three or four people to stand). With loads of parking both in their lot and in the neighborhood, it's a perfect place for you to grab and go for beans, different brewed coffees, or even a specialty latte. Speckled Ax isn't my preferred coffee, but I appreciate this location and love that it serves the Greater Portland population. If you were coming into/leaving town via 302, this could easily become your go-to local independent coffee shop!
