We were not expecting the amount of work they had to do to clean our duct work ( 3 floors) as they were here about 3 additional hours of the original time estimate. We called Northeast Appliances (Boonton, NJ) on September 23, 2024, because our cooktop's two large…read moreburners had visible ignition sparks but would not ignite. We explained this clearly over the phone and even noted that the burners could be lit manually. When the repairman arrived, he simply confirmed what we had already described, made no attempt to diagnose or repair the problem, and charged $106 for a so-called "diagnostic visit." He then told us the only solution was to replace the entire cooktop for $4,900 -- an absurd suggestion. We later contacted Appliance Care Expert, who quickly and professionally replaced two burners for only $475, and the cooktop now works perfectly. Northeast Appliances provided no real service, only a high-pressure upsell and a pointless fee. Very disappointing experience -- I would never use or recommend them.

Granted they're not perfect, but I don't think anyone in this business is perfect. They let me know they were going to write my name into the bottom of my shirts with a laundry pen. At first I was like, "I don't know about that", but I went along with it. A couple of years later, they lost my shirt, but were able to recover it because they had written the name into it. They are reliable, and consistent. I won't go anywhere else for my cleaning. Note: They have a rule about money left in pockets. All bills are returned to their owners, but they keep all of the change. I think that's a good and fair system :)
