Cost of parts etc is quoted before work begins and advice is given as to whether it is better to repair or consider the cost of a new appliance. If a part needEd to be ordered, was contacted day it arrived and new appointment immediately booked. Reliable, efficient and pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend.

A few years ago, this company inspected our broken dryer and quoted an expensive repair involving a major part. Because the dryer was older, we paid the service fee and replaced it. We did not question the estimate. Last week, I contacted the company about a three-year-old LG washer with a PE error. Before examining the machine, the technician asked whether I had another basement entrance in case a new washer needed to be brought in. I explained that I was not interested in buying a new machine. After only a few minutes, I was quoted $750 for the repair (more than the original cost of the machine) supposedly because it required an expensive, hard-to-find part. I paid the $140 service fee and decided to investigate myself. I found the replacement water sensor online for approximately $25, it was delivered the next day, installed it myself in less than a minute, and the washer is now working perfectly. When I questioned the estimate, I was told it was based on replacing three components, including the main control board. LG lists that control board at approximately $222, which still makes the $750 repair estimate difficult to understand--especially since this explanation was not provided during the service visit. When I asked for my service fee to be refunded, they ended the text conversation. This experience has left me seriously questioning the company's integrity, repair recommendations and business practices.
