Called for a grinding noise in my refrigertaor in my NJ condo on Christmas Eve! Told me he would be there between 1-3. Showed up as promised and said there was no charge because he was in the area. Gave me a price of $375 COMPLETE to repair. Fridge was 10 years old and I asked would it be better if I just bought a new one. He was going to give me that option also! WE decided that for less than $300 more I would get a new, 30% c.i. larger Frigidaire. A great suggestion! He coordinated the delivery with P.C. Richard. A class guy. Frank is an honest repairman who diligently assesses the situation and solution. In my case, he honestly recommended doing nothing because the cost of the required component was 2/3 the cost of a new unit. His recommendation: use it till it conks out, then replace. The term "Service Call" is bantered about and could cost you quite a bit unless you are provided with a definition of the term. Is the Service Call a separate charge? Is the Service Call actually the cost to perform the Work or, will there be a separate labor charge? Senior Discount: If applicable, ask for a senior citizen discount. Asking for a detailed Bill: Insist on having Parts and Labor broken out on your bill BEFORE it is written including any "Service Call" cost. Then, ask why you are being charged for a Service Call if you are being charged for labor as well. Research the cost of the part if you KNOW the cause of the repair prior to scheduling the visit. If unknown, identify the part at the time of repair. the internet will show several legitimate parts providers for your appliance. Simply enter your model number and/or ID of the part and you will be shown the true cost of the part and, in most cases, free shipping. That info will be invaluable should you have to negotiate the cost of the part(s) with the repair tech. Removed/Discarded Components: Ask the service tech to leave all of the discarded parts/components with you before he leaves. This will serve to support the degree of integrity the service tech has when working with you. Probability of using this service again: Probably not. Just an overall bad experience. Took weeks to get back to me after purchasing a new part for our washer. He never called me back and then finally called one day to say he was at my house without any warning. Then wouldn't actually move any other equipment to access the washer and once it was finally fixed, didn't even turn the water back on so we could actually use it. When I inquired why I was getting an error message, Frank simply said he turned the water off and wouldn't give me any guidance on how to get it back on. And, although he won't text and won't return calls, he was very eager to text me a bill, repeatedly. Don't waste your time or money with FTL. read more

We used Frank's services as he was sent by the appliance manufacturer s a warranty service provider. The service was not covered and Frank billed us for $90.00 service fee. As we are a non-profit organization, we have requested that Frank provide his W9 and EIN # numerous time be he still hasn't for months. I have had 2 amazing experiences with Frank. His turnaround time to come diagnose and repair both a dryer and a microwave (which was mounted under a cabinet) was on point. I highly recommend him for service. He was up front about a charge to come out to diagnose a problem. I don't know of any appliance repair service that doesn't do the same. this guy is a complete joke and waste of time, shows up at my house the day before my appointment i was happy sure he came here took my whole machine apart got tired of draining it told me to finish draining it and that he'll be back in the morning, never showed up never reched out nothing! i mean this guy literally came and took my machine apart and never heard from this guy again, he needs to get fired and not be able to work in costumer service, what a waste of time !!! read more

The technician was able to diagnose and fix the issue within 15 minutes. For that I was charged $260 which included a $50 part. I noticed that others reviews say they were given fair prices but my experience was quite different. What company charges $800 per hour for labor. read more

This is a definite DO NOT EVER USE for any appliance repair. He charged me for a service call $96.19 when there was no repair done after agreeing beforehand that I would not be charged for a service call if there was no leak or problem. Of course I never paid him. He then proceeds to harass me with phone calls, racist voicemails, phone calls with no caller ID etc...asking for payment. read more
