This location is now Luis Loza Dentistry. I had been a patient at this practice for over five years. While Dr. Loza and his hygienists are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the office staff, unfortunately, are not. When billing issues came up (including the reluctacnce of the practice to provide reimbursement of over payment), he office manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I expressed my discomfort with their billing practices and mentioned that I no longer wished to remain a patient, she laughed and dismissively said that was fine with her. I have never had an experience like this at a medical or dental practice. It is especially disappointing because I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Loza and his hygienists. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior from the office staff reflects badly on the entire practice and I will be finding another dentist. read more

This office is awful. Do not trust them. My daughter needed her wisdom teeth pulled. After I checked and DOUBLE checked that they had insurance approval and re-scheduling to ensure coverage she had them pulled only to find out they did NOT have insurance approval!!! I was recently referred to Dr. Motamedi by my general dentist for a procedure that needed to be done. Upon meeting him, Dr. Motamedi took the time at the beginning of my visit to talk to me to make sure I knew exactly what needed to be done and what the effects of the procedure were. He also thoroughly went over my post-operative care with me so that I knew how to take care of my teeth after the procedure once I got home. He constantly asked if I was comfortable during the procedure and before I knew it, it was over! After my procedure, the front desk staff was kind enough to call and ask how I was doing and if I had any questions prior to my check-up that was schedule later in the month. I can recommend VA smiles without hesitation. Dr. Motamedi and his staff are super friendly and take their time with you. I have never felt rushed at any of my visits. I would go back to Dr. Motamedi every time I needed to see a periodontist! read more

I enjoy coming here. They just recently remodeled their office and it looks night and day difference! Very modern and warm feeling compared to the typical "dentist office" that looks and feels cold and uninviting. This is close to our house and I like that they are willing to work with us if there is an emergency dealing with our mouths. Every time we go they recommend the best possible solutions and not just this is what you need for "today" type of thing. There is a bigger picture and it' s nice to see a long term picture rather than someone that is just trying to focus on making a sale or procedure for today. The staff is extremely nice and personable. I would recommend going here. I've had bad experiences with other places and this office has met every expectation and gone beyond them! I don't know a lot about dentistry, but I do know that being in the dentist's chair while people stick fingers and picks and other foreign objects in your mouth can be a very uncomfortable and distressing experience. However the dentists, dental hygienists and even the office staff here make me feel comfortable, welcome and relaxed. More than once my dental appointment at Sasan Ahmadir, DDS's office has been the best part of my day. I would like to give special credit to the dental hygienist (who's name I am embarrassed to admit I cannot remember), who is very cute, very friendly and very approachable. I had a semi annual check-up and two fillings today. Excellent service. Highest quality. The can handle short-notice needs (I have had three urgent, same-day services performed, myself). My family of ten has come to this practice for almost nine years. All services have been covered -- routine dental, orthodontic. Have been served by many staff members here -- all are excellent. I was able to get an appointment the day after I called for a cleaning and teeth whitening and when I got there everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The practice is conveniently located off Sudley Road, in the same building as the PNC bank, on the top floor. I came in for a routine cleaning and Dr. Motamedi spent a good amount of time making sure my bite was perfect! He was so thorough, and explained every detail as he went along. My teeth feel extremely clean and smooth and I was even able to get a Zoom whitening treatment the same day. I agree with Dennis! They overcharge for their services and tell you that you need unnecessary work done. They care more about making money than the welfare of their patients. I went several months ago and they are still trying to bill me, even though my insurance has already paid them month's ago-FAIL. I made an appointment with them because they had a coupon in the Money Mailer for new patients, you get an exam and all necessary xrays for $60. But, they did not tell me, till after I got it done and paid the $60, that I had to pay another $35 to get a copy of the xrays. Their prices on the work I needed were very high even with a "no dental insurance" discount. The office is not very nice and not the cleanest I've seen.The staff is very rude. If you ask them to do anything for you, they give a lot of attitude. I paid the $35 for my xrays and took them to somene else. This dentist practice recommended a lot of unnecessary dental work and charged outrageous prices for the work he recommended. The unnecessary work was confirmed by a 2nd opinion visit to another dentist. Their office staff has also refused to filed my dental insurance claims, even though they are listed as a preferred provider by the insurance company and their office staff has outright lied to me on several occasions about dental claims being filed that turned out never to have been filed! Recently had a procedure done and was experiencing some discomfort. I called to see if I could get an apt and was given one the very next day. Then things went down hill from there..never seen a dentist only a tech, said that there was nothing wrong that they could see and sent me on my way. Two weeks later and a round of X-rays it was discovered I had major issues and the dentist wanted to know why I didn't come in when I first experienced discomfort. Now i need thousands of dollars of work done. Will be finding a new dentist. You think when you call for an apt you get to see a dentist not a tech. Worst experience ever read more

I had a broken molar , and called them in an " emergency " . I went in , and after filling out the paperwork was seen very quickly. They were very courteous, and did an exceptional job. The true watermark of their professionalism to me was .... i am diabetic , they sent someone to get orange juice for me in case my sugar dropped. This dental office only caters to clients that have mobile phones! They discriminate towards those who try to call from landlines. I am a senior citezen and I do not own a mobile phone. I have many friends who also do not own mobile phones. I wanted my grandchildren to go to this dentist back in 2013 but decided against it because I could not contact them from my home. I called them from my daughter's "mobile" phone back then do voice my displeasure. I was assured by the office manager that this would be corrected. Fast forward to 2018, once again I am looking for a dentist close to my home...they "still" DO NOT accept calls from landlines! Why do they continue to discriminate against those who do not call from mobile phones??? read more
