This office told me twice they were in-network and that I owed $0 for a routine cleaning, then sent a bill months later claiming they were out of network the whole time. When I disputed the charge, I was being gaslighted by staff saying I should know my insurance instead of the error being corrected or them telling me they were out of network -- extremely unprofessional and deceptive. I've also personally witnessed management encouraging patients to leave 5-star reviews before leaving, which makes the overall experience feel manipulative and untrustworthy. Please look at my comment at the end it can help you. I had a terrible experience in this dental clinic and I want to share it so that other people don't go through the same thing. In November 2023, I underwent a root canal treatment on a tooth. They explained to me that I could feel pain for about a week, but the pain persisted for more than two weeks and began to spread to other teeth. I called several times to inform them about the intense pain, but they told me that it was normal and that each body reacts differently. A month later, in December, I called again because the pain not only continued, but prevented me from sleeping at night. They told me again that it was normal and that the work was fine. When the appointment came to place the crown on my tooth, I mentioned to them that I still had pain, and the doctor decided not to place it until the pain disappeared. At that time, after a month of complaints, he finally prescribed me medicine. However, the pain never disappeared and, even so, they placed the permanent crown on me. During January 2024, I kept calling to inform you that the pain did not go away and that it even got worse at night. They told me to only take Tylenol and that it was a matter of time. I kept insisting for months, but I only received excuses. In March or April, I had another appointment at the same clinic for a different treatment. In that consultation, I mentioned again my constant pain from the root channel and expressed my concern, since, according to my research, a root channel eliminates the nerves of the tooth and should not hurt. The dentist was surprised and decided to give me an X-ray. However, they did not give me an immediate answer. A month passed and when I came back for my next appointment, I was finally told that I had a serious tooth infection due to a bad job in the root canal. I had been calling and complaining for months, and they just ignored my worries. Even worse, instead of calling me immediately after discovering the infection, they waited until I came back to mention it. Then they told me that the only solution was to repeat the procedure, but that the insurance would not cover it and that I had to pay an additional cost. I found it completely unfair to have to pay for a job badly done from the beginning, something I had reported several times without being taken seriously. They assured me that they would check with the insurance if it would cover it and that they would call me. I waited two months without receiving an answer. I called the clinic several times, but they ignored my calls or left me on hold. I decided to contact my insurance directly and they informed me that the clinic had never contacted them and that, in any case, the insurance would not cover the procedure. I went to the clinic in person because they didn't answer me, and his only solution was to return the money to the insurance and refuse to correct his mistake. Basically, they washed their hands and left me with the problem. Instead of taking responsibility and correcting the job poorly done, they simply took me out of their office and left me looking for another solution on my own. After a year, I still have this unresolved problem and still in pain. Researching, I discovered that other people close to me have had similar experiences with this clinic. They are totally irresponsible and don't care about the health of their patients. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was a recent new patient at Vera dentistry. I searched through my insurance a dental office close by. I went in initially for a cleaning. During my assessment, they concluded I needed 3 fillings and an Onlay. They put me with a new doctor, Dr. Scotti. What needed to be a few fillings and an onlay turned into excruciating pain. During my onlay process, I was experiencing severe sensitivity. After a week with the temporary one, I called and they had me come in. Dr. Scotti "checked" it, shaved it down a bit, and had me come back a few days later for the permanent onlay. I continued to experience pain but held out until my appt. Then, he finally assessed that I needed a root canal, the same tooth I had him check a few days earlier and he dismissed me. I explained to the office manager Max that I was unhappy with Dr. Scotti and his lack of communication and bedside manner. Never did he explain to me what was being done. I would be done with my appt and had no idea what was done. I requested to see Dr. Vera but for some reason, Max said she was unable to work off of Dr. Scottie's work so I stayed. I went back after I got a root canal and had the crown placed. I had one more filling I needed and wanted to do the same day. After the crown placement, he then let me down again by saying he suggested I wait to do the filling since it looks like it can potentially head to a root canal too, (since I had travel plans) although the line of treatment would still be a filling. I left... only to start experiencing cold/hot sensitivity on the same side.. again. I'm not sure what Dr. Scotti did but the issues just seemed to snow ball. Also, to add, he would be out the door before I would (I typically took the last appts) showing hes just wants to get out of work. What started as a checkup turned into a nightmare for me . She work on a cracked filling and I did not feel a thing! She is amazing! She also is not trying to sell you things like a retail salesperson. Max, office manager is unprofessional. I worked there a day as a hygienist and didnt want to work more days because they broke contract paid me less. Max asked me to work next Monday, told him no. Max got upset and just hung up on me. Very childish. I got paid short of 40 dollars, but he did his own calculation and will mail me less and told me "do not text me anymore" Extremely unprofessional. Unacceptable. 1st off, Dr. Vera asked me discount saying last patient cancelled. I didnt have to do her favor bc we had discussed they pay me for the day matter what. I did her favor but calculated by hour not by #of patients and asked a little less by mistake. So I politely asked them to pay me back 40. Max contacted me and kinda blew me off saying they cannot pay me 40 more bc I didnt work full 8 hr but 7 hrs. I argued I saw 9 out of 10 patients so we need to go by production. He hung up on me. Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Vera and her staff! It was our first time and the appointment went so well with my 12 year old daughter. They made her feel comfortable from beginning to end. Dr. Vera did her cleaning and was able to do two of her cavity's during my daughter's appointment. Dr. Vera and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and do not pressure to additional services you do not need. They front desk receptionist is so nice and helpful, she explains all payment options and takes the headache out of scheduling appointments. They even offer text messaging to secure your appointment time and to provide updates. I like this feature because you don't have to be on hold when you call, this is an great alternative. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful the entire staff is here! Our entire family goes to Dr. Vera and she is absolutely amazing! We have an 11 year old who unfortunately had a cavity. She was very compassionate and told him what she was doing the entire time. He didn't even flinch! The facility is very clean and the secretary is very wonderful as well! ## Beware ## Do NOT GO ## Horrible Business Practice ## DISHONEST I had A lot of work done over 9 months. I went here for 9 months through several appointments. They (DR Vera) told me this work was covered through insurance. Dr Vera said my portion was 20%. I paid the 20% on every visit. The last visit after all the work was done after 9 months. They told me we don't except this version of insurance. Now why would anybody go to a Dentist that doesn't except this type of insurance. The Dentist (Owner - DR Vera) who's job is to make sure the work getting done is covered under insurance. Dr Vera had 9 months to tell me they don't use this type of insurance. Why would she have me pay 20% and tell me the rest was covered by insurance. My family owned a Auto body shop my entire life. We deal with insurance all the time. The first thing you do is find out what is covered under insurance. This was a clear tactic to get money from a customer, that she clearly knew was not covered and did not want to lose the money. They did not apologize for this giant mistake, nor offer any type of discount for this horrible mistake. Please keep your money and go to an honest Dentist. read more
