I go to the dentist more than the average person, and was very nervous choosing a dentist when I moved to the area. I finally chose Dr. Mirchin and have been very satisfied with his work. The office is small, but it is a friendly, family like atmosphere. They do very high quality work, whether it's a cleaning, cavity, onlay procedure, or crown. I've had it all. He does very careful work, taking his time to do it right and make you feel comfortable. He even calls to check on you the next day after more serious procedures, which I really like. I needed a few crowns and he worked with me to create a payment plan to allow me to be able to pay for them in installments. I've heard so many people complain about crowns but from day 1 my crowns from Dr. Mirchin feel like they have always been there and have not caused me any problems. Also, I went through months and months of extreme migraines and Dr. Mirchin was able to diagnose that they were clench related! He made me a mouthguard and saved me from intense pain. The bonding work he did was awful. I had to go back and get it fixed and it still wasn't fixed to my satisfaction so I decided to change dentists. Plus, I was I over billed and it took several weeks to get my refund. Don't be fooled with his reply to this review; he's old and doesn't know what he's doing. Stay far away. read more

My teeth are *not*easy to whiten and my usual dentist accomplished very little. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I had a Groupon for an exam, cleaning & X-rays. Dr. Mirchin only "cleaned" around the edges of my teeth & completely ignored the actual surfaces. He was done "cleaning" in less than 7 minutes (yes, I timed it b/c Groupon stated that my office visit would be over an hour. Obviously a teeth cleaning procedure doesn't take an hour but it takes more than 6 or 7 minutes & is supposed to be thorough). My teeth didn't feel slick/polished as they NORMALLY do as a result of a professional teeth cleaning but instead looked exactly the same as when I first entered the office. Dr. Mirchin failed to review my X-rays with me. I went to another dentist 3 days later, who asked if my teeth had been cleaned (I then told the dentist about the unthorough "cleaning"). The new dentist reviewed my X-rays, and found numerous cavities throughout my mouth that Dr. Mirchin failed to inform me about! Furthermore, the new dentist explained that these cavities were very obvious, with many almost near the nerves of the teeth. But then again, if teeth are allowed to rot, more work needs to be done, & more money will subsequently be made by the dentist. Complete waste of time & money...it's not worth risking the health of your gums & teeth to see a sloppy, greedy dentist whose only concern is fattening his pockets. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Dr. Mirchin is a great dentist! He and his staff do their best to make you very relaxed and comfortable during your visit to the dentist. They have comfortable massage chairs and give you headphones to wear to help you relax. Dr. Mirchin also keeps up with new technology and current dental research to improve his practice. read more

I have been going to Dr. Mirch for about 4 years now (using Delta Dental insurance). Dr. Mirchin has done a great job with every dental problem I've had (fillings, two crowns, cleanings/exams). He also recommended a mouthguard for my nighttime grinding that is much better than my previous mouthguard, which really needed to be replaced after I ground holes into it. When I asked him why he suggested I switch to the new model, we had a long discussion that convinced me. I am so glad I listened because my grinding is now much less damaging to my teeth since they don't make contact on my molars. I have never felt Dr. Mirchin tried to sell me on unnecessary dental care, which is really important to me given some of my past experiences with dentists who seem motivated more by money. In fact, because I am student, Dr. Mirchin has been really sensitive to my budgetary concerns. I also enjoy his administrative and dental hygienist staff. I often recommend him to other people, including my boyfriend who also has a positive view of Dr. Mirchin's practice. read more

I went to Dr. Mirchin's office as a new patient because of a Groupon offer for a very inexpensive cleaning, x-rays, and exam. I was very impressed with this dental office. I have been to many different dentists over the years. What stood out to me first was the professional, polite, and gentle hygienist. She was very nice and honest and did NOT sugarcoat any aspect of telling me how much I have been failing on my oral hygiene (I love honesty). Then, the digital bitewing x-ray system. A very nice new high tech system, as was all of the equipment in the office. Dr. Mirchin himself was great. Extremely professional, seemingly wise in his profession, and seemed to really caring about the health of my mouth. Both the hygienist and the Dr. himself spent plenty of time with me. I told them it was one of the best dental experiences of my life (35 yrs) and I meant it. I've been to many great dentists, a couple orthodontists, and one periodontist. Dr. Mirchin and his staff are easily on par with or at the top with the best. Clichéd complete rip-off 'dentist.' Saw this man once on a groupon. Tried to convince me that I needed 5 root canals (no exaggeration whatsoever), would cost over $6,000. I ended up needing 2 fillings, cost around $200. Stay away from Jack Mirchin, unless you hate your money. read more

Dr. Mirchin has been my dentist for 14 years. He has provided superb care, even when I have had complications. I trust his recommendations completely, and when I have any questions he always answers them until I understand. The office is always running on time with very polite staff. Contrary to all the positive reviews below I had a HORRIBLE experience at Dr. Mirchin's office today. I, as well, got the groupon cleaning deal because I have not had cleaning for about 8 month and my regular work insurance does not start up until June. I had no complaints, but I knew that I have very bad genetics and, despite my fairly young age, I have a lot of fillings and constant trouble with my teeth. I first went in to get a cleaning and the girl who performed the procedure was very nice and talkative, yet this was THE WORST cleaning in my life. I have been going to one dentist regularly and perhaps I was just lucky to be taken care of by a team of great professionals... As soon as she began cleaning my first tooth and using the water-tool *not sure what the proper name is, sorry*, water began splashing ALL OVER MY FACE, dripping down my neck and a few seconds into the cleaning my shirt was literally all wet and the chair was wet too from water dripping out of my mouth and down my neck and onto my back. She saw this and began sporadically covering me in paper towel, yet when she continued the cleaning not much changed. So I am sitting covered in 7 pieces of paper towel with water dripping down my neck.. ok, I am thinking, I don't know if this girl went to school, but it was a cheap 35$ groupon, I will just suck it up.. A cleaning is a cleaning.. however, she put away the automatic polishing tool and began poking with a sharp instrument... ( i guess continued cleaning between my teeth)... She made my gums bleed soo much because instead of cleaning out between the teeth she accidentally jammed the tool into my gums... She was evidently uncomfortable that this happened and kept apologizing .. Finally this was over, ok fine... However the real show only just began. I was told that I need to wait a bit more for the doctor to come in and take a look at my Xrays and tell me about the treatment. I let her know that I have my regular dentist and I am not American and I am only here for a little bit. I will be back to my regular dentist when my insurance kicks in in June. The Dr. walked in, leaned the chair back, lifted it up and began looking at my teeth and commented on a filling that I needed to get done (I as aware of that before I came). At this moment the dental assistant girl informed the Dr that I will not be getting treatment with him... RIght away you can tell that the Dr. lost interest and became extremely rude. He began criticizing the dental work that I have done so far. I have a crown and he said - omg, everything about this crown is wrong and everything needs to be re-done, but you don't want me to help you. The he proceeded to call out teeth numbers and proposed treatment using the dental code that any patient who does not work in the industry would not understand.. He called it out, without explaining to me how many cavities I have, what work needs to be done etc etc... he got up and JUST LEFT.... did not lower the chair, did not put me in the up right position, did not let me know how my teeth are doing, did not say Bye... he just left because he understood that he will not be making any money off of me.... when I expressed my disappointment with his behavior his assistant looked down obviously uncomfortable and said - " I am sorry, he does that..." clearly I was not the first customer whom he treated this way as soon as he realized he won't be profiting from me.... I do not doubt that he might be a good professional and that he does great work... But this incident today was soooo horrible... I feel like he spat in my face, and wish I just waited to see my regular dentist and not bother with this groupon offer... I understand that Groupon makes next to no money to the business and it is mainly used for advertisement, but if you are not ready to offer a quality service and a caring atmosphere, may be you should re-consider putting up this offer all together. Even if I was interested in getting my teeth fixed in the U.S. I would NEVER go back to this office... On a bright side of things, the receptionist was very nice, everything was on time, the office was nice and clean... Too bad all of this does not matter because this is not how I would remember this appointment. Rather, I hope after posting on here I can forget this visit forever. read more

I found out about Dr. Mirchin on Facebook and I had a really great experience with this dentist. I thought I had to get a root canal and crown shortly after which would have cost me a lot of money but Dr. Mirchin fixed my tooth without undergoing either of those procedures and the best part was I felt no pain whatsoever. He also calls you an excessive amount of times to try to get you to come into the office, which is unlike any other doctor, and I found that odd. He did not do a good job at all and was rather annoying as a dentist because he kept trying to just point things out that needed fixed only so he could try to sucker me into coming back for more dental work and get him money. I went to another dentist afterwards and sure enough, I did NOT need the work that he was saying I needed done. He was just trying to rip me off. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!! I had a great dentist in FL, but since he refused to move his practice to MD I was forced to find a new dentist! Dr Mirchin is indeed the right dentist. The office is small and some updates to decor and cleaning of machinery are needed. However, he is very through, knowledgeable, and kind. He does teeth cleaning himself and takes a comprehensive oral history. As another person mentioned he takes his time, answering any questions that you may have about your treatment. He and his staff are very pleasant. Its hard to find a good dentist. I would highly recommend Dr Mirchin dentistry. read more

I would NEVER recommend going to Dr. Mirchin's office! He over exaggerates what is wrong with your teeth so he will get money off of you for procedures that you really do not need to have done. He rattles off the tooth numbers & tries to talk in a way to confuse you & make you think that any previous dental work done with someone else is in bad shape & needs to be fixed.. by him. They told me they accepted my insurance, but they do not. There are so many issues with their billing & insurance. Dr Mirchin is annoying & is a greedy doctor that only wants to make money off of you & acts very rude when you decide to not get procedures done. He has his office staff practically harrass you with how many times they call you to try to get you to come back. He even calls numerous times, & no doctor ever does that.
