Waste of time. Horrible experience trying to book first time appointments for 2 of my children. I called here based on the Google reviews I saw, but now I'm thinking some of them are fake. The day I called, someone picked up (I think it was one of the dentists) and said their front desk was closed but that he'd set up the appointments for me, so he found me an opening on their calendar, told me he has now put my kids down under that date and those times, and that someone would call me the next day when they open to get my insurance info. No one called me the next day. Or the next. Or the next.
Eventually I called them back to confirm my own appointments. The lady I spoke with, Ravia (sp?) , said she didn't see those appointments in their system - but told me she had openings the very next day. I guess it's a good thing I called to double check. I'm not sure why that dentist would have told me he's made the appointments only for me to find days later that they weren't saved to their system. I said the next day would work and I started going over my insurance and contact info with her. I assumed she was entering this information into their system since I spent about 15 minutes on the phone with her giving her mine and my children's names, DOB's, insurance info, contact info, etc. Ravia told me someone would call me back within an hour or two if there were any problems with the insurance. No one called.
Get there on time the next morning for my children's appointments to find a packed waiting room, and the first thing the front desk asks me to do is to fill in the same info I provided to Ravia the day before on their iPad. I tell them I already did this with Ravia over the phone yesterday. They say they don't have it and I need to fill out the paperwork, so now I'm in a PACKED waiting room with two young children (both too young to be vaccinated and one who's too young to wear a mask, so is completely unprotected against COVID), with one child on my hip and another running around touching everything, trying to fill out a form that's asking for information which I already provided and don't have readily available. They basically throw their own employee, Ravia, under the bus making her sound incompetent and saying they're not responsible for whatever she said or did while she was on the phone with me. How? She works for and is a representative for them. They hired her, and I'm assuming, trained her!
I ask them why they didn't just have me complete these forms online (as most, if not all, RESPONSIBLE doctors have been doing since the pandemic started, in an effort to reduce the time spent in a waiting room where you could potentially be exposed to COVID). They say they don't have the forms online. They could have told me that on the phone and I would have found another dentist to go to where they DO have that capability. 15 minutes in, they tell me there's an issue with the insurance and they need my social security number to validate it because they can't use just the Group ID. I ask why no one called me to tell me that yesterday, again, as Ravia, had told me they would. They don't have an answer for me except to throw her under the bus again. I provide my SSN. They also ask for my driver's license and I provide it to them.
Meanwhile I'm trying to complete the paperwork but it doesn't make sense. Where it asks for patient info, it asks for the marital status of my 3 year old. Also there's no way to duplicate the contact info for my son and daughter, I just have to enter it over again manually for both. When I tell them that, they say I can just fill out a different set of forms with more basic info, so they print out a different set of forms and have me start completing those instead. Its now 40 minutes past my appointment time. The lady who had done what she needed to do with my license and given it back to me, asks for it again. She apparently didn't do something correctly. I got my kids and left, I had wasted too much time there already. Don't let them waste yours. There are many other dentists in the area. read more
