The front desk, Ginny made sure I was comfortable at the office while waiting for my dental exam. The dental assistance Anna, she did a great job cleaning and rinsing the area of the gums and tooth's for a hour of gum cleaning. Anna explained that I would need gum deep cleaning to prevent any infections deep in the gums pockets. Dr. Strickland advise I should lay off the soda, candies, any junk foods which I will try my best to avoid for future decays of cavities and to the gums. I hope to return back for deep cleaning for the gums, since it not affordable but I hope to return soon when I am ready. Dr. Strickland explained that, it would take time to do every part of the area for cavities repair. At this time, I had a front upper tooth filling done by Dr. Strickland and I am impressed how quick the filling and tooth was look like new. I knew it will be a long journey to have all the cavities check and repair. They was professional and made me comfortable during my visit, always made sure everything is check out the tooth and gum before leaving the dental office. Dr. Cai was very gentle, calm, patient, and NON judgmental about the state my teeth are in. I have some heightened phobias revolving dental work, so needless to say i was very scared to go in. I embarrassingly hadn't seen a dentist since i was a child, so i have some extensive dental issues. Everyone there made sure i was comfortable and assured me that i was in good hands. Due to my crazy anxiety, i was panicking and crying thru most of my appointment. Dr. Cai really went out of his way to make sure i was okay, and he assured me thru the whole process that i was doing a great job. I cant thank him enough for doing his best to put me at ease. The actual facility is beautiful. Very modern with obvious attention to technological advances. Everything seemed high tech and state of the art. It doesn't have that super 'cold' vibe some medical offices have. Very warm and inviting. I've already told several people about Dr. Cai & his dental practice. Highly recommend. I can't speak for every patient as im sure its case by case, but since i don't have any dental insurance, they worked with me so that i could afford the work i desperately needed. I genuinely felt they cared about my health before making a buck. Dr. Cai personally called me himself 4 days after having 2 teeth extracted to check on me and make sure everything was healing as planned. His staff(especially Lisa i think her name is) was also very warm and helpful. I called the office multiple times before and after my procedure to ask questions and she was a delight every time. Never made me feel like one of "those" annoying patients. I think i have found my forever dentist. I really cant say enough nice things about this place. The dentist, Dr. Kourosh Bazarjani, was rude, squeezed my face while performing a root canal, pulled on my hair and pinched my lips and cheeks with his instruments, and was incredibly condescending and dismissive to me. He outwardly showed frustration while working on my mouth, and even let out several loud sighs to let me know that he was having a tough time. Before the procedure, he asked me to raise my hand if I had pain. When I raised my hand several times, he dismissed me and pressed the drill into my tooth even harder. The office manager "had a talk with him", and he came back even more rude and aggressive. I will be reporting this doctor and the practice to the Virginia Dental Board.

The only reason this was not 5 stars is I felt that they were there to clean my teeth AND sell me Invisalign. Here is a brief summary of his bad work; 1) used a drill to remove the glue for braces thinning her teeth, 2) placed small short crowns over back molars, 3) shaved down her molars to a lopsided bite, 4) 2 of the crowns cracked within 3 months. I have no idea why he keeps a 4.9 rating, apparently he does know how to do good work. The only explanation is that he chooses not to give equal attention and quality of work to all. Since I can't read his mind, based on those penning excellent reviews, just stay away if you are not white and/or belong to any hyphenated group of American. I am working with insurance company, now that the list of cracked crowns, unhealed implant (2years) issues have grown beyond cosmetic. I have to list tooth number, the date replaced (some twice) for everyone he treated who is facing the same issue. This is not a cosmetic dentistry, not even mediocre for basic crowns.

His staff is courteous, friendly, and follows up routinely after appointments to schedule services throughout the year. Dr. Brandt is patient, knowledgeable and most of all trustworthy. We've finally moved our kids from a pediatric dentist to his practice because we trust him with all of our care and value his judgment. Never one to push unnecessary procedures for money but will tell you what you NEED to hear vs. what you probably WANT to hear LOL. If you have a cracked tooth you can't afford to fix properly or remove, he can give you an estimate of how long it'll last before it falls apart in your mouth, he can try his best to patch it for comfort though He likes to educate while explaining things too which I appreciate.
