Latasha C.

Food is trash I've never seen or smelled dry fried ribs like this smh not even edible and I asked for extra sauce and they still put it in a Togo tray instead of a soup container I got played out of $35 + $200 to shampoo my car because the shit spilled every where idk what they put on the dry fried ribs but it stinks word of advice do not waste your money here

Came to try this place out yesterday after craving some soup on a cold day! Their wonton soup hit the spot - it was delicious. The wontons were tasty and the soup was light but delicious and flavorful at the same time. We also tried their mapo tofu, chow mein with oyster sauce beef, chili oil wontons, and the katsu beef sando. Everything was pretty good! I'd definitely eat any of those items again. The chow mein wasn't super oily which I appreciated. And it was my first time having a katsu sando - won't be my last! With Yelp check in, you also get 2 (not one but two!) free boba milk teas! They weren't the best boba drinks, but not complaining because they were free. We dined in and the place looks like it used to be an old breakfast diner. The location is near the Richmond Bart station - not the nicest area but it's close to my place. Only complaint of the visit was my bowl and and spoon were a little sticky - but it's easy to just ask for another. The waitress was super nice and checked on us a couple times. All in all, we had a yummy experience, and we'll be back for more! Interested in trying their ramen and lunch specials next time!

Pork katsu sandwich
Yun C.

After eye-ing their katsu sandwiches for months, I finally sent hubby to pick up food from here. We ordered the pork katsu sandwich, the general tso chicken and the combination noodles dish. I was hoping for flat larger noodles but they didn't have and gave me a rice stick noodles. The katsu sandwich was really good. I loved the crunch from the cabbage and the bread was fluffy and soft. It's best to devour the sandwich soon after they served it as the meat is pretty lean and would get harder. The portion was really good for the price as other fancier places serving the same dish would charge a few bucks more. The general tso chicken was flavorful and was generous in portion. The noodles were basic but the portion was also generous. Overall, it was a successful culinary experience for us, and we certainly hope the community would support this little.small local business.

Homemade chili oil wonton dumplings

Super nice. Delicious wontons!! A bit slow for the food to come out but definitely worth it :)

fried rice (vegetables and eggs)

Quick Summary: - Ramen is awesome - Hefty dishes, entered hungry, left full - Friendly staff - Tables, chairs, and bar stools to sit - Nice milk tea drinks - Interior is long and vast than how it appears from the outside - There is parking space in the Foods Co area A hidden gem in Richmond! We found this restaurant while searching for a place to eat. I recognized the place right away, and immediately was drawn to it by the attractive food photos. The ramen grabbed our most attention; it looked really good and something we are used to eating. We entered around dinner time. There are bar stools and tables and chairs alongside the other wall. We took a seat, and the staff came by to provide the menu. While the staff appeared few, they were attentive and came to our table when guests called. We ordered the special fried rice, the special chow mein, fried wonton, and the tonkotsu ramen. The order in which the food came goes as follows: fried wonton, ramen, fried rice, and chow mein. The wonton was so cute; never seen it wrapped like mini pouches. The staff suggested some sauces upon bringing the dish, so we picked soy sauce and their spicy oil sauce. The outside was so crispy and the center filling was packed with meaty flavor. This was a nice appetizer to start off the meal experience. (I also think the spicy oil sauce tasted and fit the dumplings than the soy sauce). The ramen, man, we were so amazed with it. It was really good and just how I imagined how it would taste! I have eaten a few ramen restaurants, but only two I can recommend. This place would now be my third. The tonkotsu soup is perfectly seasoned and not greasy, so it was very easy to eat. The pork chashu is the bomb, delicious! I loved the char on the surface; rich toasty flavor. I haven't seen this method done on other Bay Area ramen chashus, and I really love it. I also loved the fact that the pork chashu wasn't overpowering the ramen. (There are some ramen places, that do this, and it defeats the ramen noodle experience in my opinion). I later discovered, when viewing the menu, that the "candy egg" is the almost runny boiled egg. We loved this too. The yolk was still runny, so when I broke the egg in half, the yolk slowly melted into the broth. Very good! The fried rice is also very delicious, my type of flavor. I categorize this as my second favorite type of flavor. A good, roasted flavor in the rice that I can faintly resemble it as soy sauce. The rice is stir fried so well, so each grain can be picked up with a spoon; no clumps. The broccoli was cooked just right, tender and soft. It's a dish I would come back tor eat again. Adding another good points to the chow mein. The noodles are springy, the vegetables were cooked to taste the vegetable's natural sweetness and freshness. We picked barbecue pork instead of chicken, so when we got the dish, it was the one with the red coloring on the surface. I recall these tend to be on the sugary sweet side, but this wasn't. It was more of a savory pork flavor, so I enjoyed it overall. On the way out, we also got ourselves a cup of boba. It's in a large cup (forgot to take a photo). When requested for boba, they told us that it ran out, so we got a more unique topping: rainbow jelly. There was roughly four different colored jellies (red, orange, and yellow, and milky white). Some of them tasted like citrus). The milk tea and the other drinks have a default sweetness, so I would say it's easy to order. The milk tea had a solid balance of tea and milk, neither was overshadowing the other. I'm pretty pleased to have a milk tea shop here; I was craving for a milk tea shop here for years. Overall, super pleased with the food experience! We will definitely come back again to eat the other ramen dishes and me trying out hot and sour soup.

niku tantan mein

Having just returned from a trip to Japan, we were craving for Japanese flavors and I found V8 Kitchen from the Doordash app. I saw they have a few Japanese items and ordered the Kurobuta Katsu Sando and the Niku Tantan Mein. I am not sure if the pork is real Kurobuta pork as that is a very special pork in Japan, but I did enjoy the crispy filet of pork and the crunch of the cabbage. The bread in the sando appeared to be lightly toasted. Real sando has untoasted bread. The Niku Tantan mein was satisfying. Even though it was delivery food, the temperature was still very warm and I did not have to reheat it. The egg has the proper gooey yolk and not overcooked. The charsiu pork was of decent size. The braised and minced pork tasted good. The bamboo shoots were a nice touch, and the broth has good flavor. Prices were a bit high for diner food though. If it wasn't for the Doordash discount, I probably wouldn't order again.

Fried Shrimp
Diana D.

Well I can only tell you these fried SHRIMP baby are sooooo freaking good okay ! Now make sure when you order them, you eat them IMMEDIATELY , because the breading will get a little soft from the steam, or you can just open the container lol. Now I'm a pescatarian , so the chicken was for my husband . He ate them all in sitting ; 8 pieces . I think it was 6 but who knows . But yes the shrimp as has a hint of salt and they taste so good ! The shrimp are always fresh . Sooo good ! Now I ordered this on Sunday , now I think it's time for another order . The place is always clean and the owner, I don't know her name is always so sweet . When ever I had an issue she replaced the food immediately with no issues , no questions asked ! Thanks girl

Mango tea with boba

The food is amazing! My go to order is Shrimp Fried Rice with an order of Egg rolls and a mango tea! The service is great, everyone is kind and greets you when you come in! It's usually not packed when i go, but it definitely should be because it's great here! The only issue is the parking spaces, it's limited but if you're lucky you'll find some, close by!

This is a good place for quick take out - ramen, potstickers and bacon fried rice. The lady that runs the place is very friendly.

Special shoutout... to the guy handling the wait list at the door. What an engaging sweetheart. He handled the list, waiting people well..a smiling personality and very helpful... thank you . Food was exceptional... I had pork belly ramen which had great flavor. They also had chicken and beef based ramens. Also noteworthy the meat was fresh (taste the difference). Appetizers had gyoza... (nothing special)...and octopus (Amazing delicacy... I'm talking exceptional food). Flashing lychee drink Very good food...a nice treat. Thank you everyone S

From a gluten-free standpoint, this was disappointing…read more My daughter loves this place. I have never been there because I can't eat gluten and assumed that like most other Ramen places, I couldn't eat there. But my daughter went to lunch with her friends and came home super excited to tell me that they have gluten-free options. so we made a plan and went there. We were about to sit down when I ask the server what the gluten-free options were and she told me that there were no gluten-free options. it turns out that they have gluten-free noodles listed on the menu (which is why my daughter thought they had gluten-free options) but None of their broths are gluten free. The server was really apologetic about the discrepancy. So we ended up going to another restaurant nearby and I didn't get a chance to eat there. My review is only on the gluten-free aspect. I hear good things otherwise.
