I went there a couple times and even though the sushi seems pretty fresh, what throws me off is the fish is pretty warm, even though they're not deep-fried. I've had their tempura udon, didn't much care for it. I had to add a lot of soy sauce. The dipping sauce wasn't great. When I went with my boys they said it felt like something was missing from the sushi. That they've had better. The place is small but seems to keep a good flow of people. The staff was kind and checked in on us often. The food was okay, so I think the price was fair. I wouldnt necessarily want to come back. My family and I ordered: tuna tartare, seared tuna salad, chicken skewers, miso soup, California roll,a dinner Bentonville box with salmon and spicy tuna rolls, escolar nigiri, seared salmon nigiri, and seared scallops nigiri. The fish pieces on the nigiri were huge, and they looked really good, but all in all lacked flavor and depth ive had in other places. The miso soup was good but the temperature was barely warm. The tuna tartare had decent flavor, but it was too chopped for me. Really resembled ground beef and visually just wasnt that appealing. The skewers had good flavor but it was too soft and wet for me. We visited Koi Sushi again for lunch after our mom's doctor's visit today. This has been our favorite sushi place. Eileen the server was pleasant. The restaurant is small with simple wall decor. I noticed people from the medical office building had their lunch here. A popular joint for to go order. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen for mom. I thought of trying different rolls. My sister and I shared the Under the Sea and TNT rolls. As always their fish were fresh and delicious. The price was decent. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Great service. I'm giving Koi an average review because of the way they packed their food for delivery for our meal today. We have gotten food from this place many times, and it is normally at a four-star level, but I do have to knock off a star at this point. We ordered more than $125 worth of food. Several hot items, rolls and sashimi. This is via DoorDash. The restaurant packed the food in a sealed plastic bag, which created an oven effect. All of the rolls wound up being warm, and the hot food was room temperature. The trapped heat basically ruined everything in the bag. The tempura was mushy, and so were the rolls. As a result, texture and flavor were not good. It was a special occasion, and we were really looking forward to this meal, and what a disappointment. We will not order from there again. The food is very good, they use high-quality ingredients, but if it's packed like this, it is all for naught. If we have this food again, we will go to the restaurant. This sashimi is really good. I wouldn't waste your money on the oysters, we tried them tonight, and they are a terrible value. But of course they were mushy, so that doesn't exactly help my opinion of them. The chicken kara age, which you get free if you order X amount on DoorDash, is decent, though it was lukewarm and limp by the time we got it. It's understood that this kind of food is going to suffer when it's delivered. But you can't pack everything together. The rolls and sashimi should've been packed in one bag, the hot food in another--and not sealed, so the tempura would've had a little bit of crispiness left. We also found the rolls kind of like compressed bricks this go-round. I don't know if they changed the way they make them, but the rice was dense and compressed. Odd. They are also stingy with the condiments. You have to ask them how many soy sauces you want, and they still don't give you what you ask for. The food and experience here is what I would expect out of a strip mall sushi joint. We were seated immediately and presented with a fairly extensive menu with a lot of sushi roll options. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive. The quality and taste was fine. Don't expect anything fancy. Presentation is what you would expect out of any standard sushi roll. When it does get busy, there is a wait and parking lot is small that they share with other businesses. I won't be eating here again. The service and time management were severely lacking. I was quoted a 15-minute wait for my food, but it took much longer with absolutely no communication or updates. The staff's attitude was the real dealbreaker. While waiting for my ride, I asked for a menu to order more food and drinks. Instead of being helped, I was told, "To-go orders have to leave." It felt insulting to try to kick out a paying customer who was actively trying to spend more money. As for the food: The Nigiri was fine, but the Tonkotsu Ramen was disappointing. The broth was okay, but the Ramen Egg tasted like a hard-boiled Easter egg that had been sitting around for too long. Go to a good Omakase place and pay the price for what you think you're looking for in a sushi. I don't know about service since we don't usually do dine in, but the amount of time they told us to wait for our order was pretty much accurate. If you're dining in, be forewarned that this place is not really properly setup for that. Yes, there's a space in the front, but the way the tables and chairs are placed, it's a bit disorganized. Honestly everything is fine except service, some days they are very polite, but most days they are not, wont say thank you when hanging up, the young lady hit me with/ a "uh huh" and clicked on me. And again even with the non servers, some days they have a great smile and some days they wont even look you in the eye. Fyi mental health is a reason if you need an excuse to stay home. Also want to mention if you order out make sure to tell them to separate your raw and cooked food if your a good driver away. I used to be a loyal customer and truly loved Koi Sushi. For a long time their rolls were fresh, well-balanced, and genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, something changed about three months ago -- it feels like they switched the chef or the entire preparation style. The rolls I have been receiving lately are completely different from what this place used to serve. They've become huge brick-like rolls made almost entirely of rice with barely any fish or filling. The ratio is so off that the food becomes nearly inedible. I gave them several chances, hoping the quality would go back to normal, but today's order was the final disappointment. The rolls were 90% packed rice and only a thin layer of ingredients. This is not the same Koi Sushi I used to love. It's really upsetting to see such a dramatic drop in quality. I hope management reads this and brings the restaurant back to the level it once had -- because right now the food is nothing like before. read more

Sashimi portions are good and the symmetry should be improved however, this is really good for the area. Hamachi kama: got served 2 nice size kama. Cooked well with nice char. Poke salad- spelled wrong on menu but I knew what they meant. Theres no green salad but a bit of ocean salad on top. Not to my liking. Spicy dressing. A bit too much. Not really a Hawaiian poke salad but its a great amount of fish. Tip: order a large bowl of sushi rice and ask for sauce on the side. Gosh! Loved the rolls and amaebi! I am so happy to have found a good sushi place in my area. This place is good for the price and the quality. I recently tried this place for the first time and had a pleasant experience. Parking was easy to find since it is in a small plaza. I just ordered online and went in to pick it up. The time for pick up was accurate which I appreciated. I got their TNT, Titanic, and Lion King rolls. My favorite from all of the rolls was definitely the TNT roll. It was super creamy and I loved the flavors. The Lion King roll would have been better if it had some mayo on top? I am not sure if they just forgot to add that, but it definitely felt like it was missing something. I did not really like the Titanic roll due to personal preference. However, I would definitely come back just to get their TNT roll and try their other rolls. read more

Popped by here on a Monday afternoon to grab sushi with my best friend. We arrived just before 230pm. They close at 330pm and stop taking orders around 245pm. Parking is super easy as they are in a small strip with a parking lot, you can also park on the street or at the casino across the street. Service was great. We were able to get all of our food ordered in time and you absolutely can continue to order sake past 245pm. Once they closed, they did not rush us or kick us out. They did their own thing and sat down to eat as well which was nice. Bonus kindness - they let my friend use their phone charger because her phone was dying. The food was also good. We had a few rolls and the mixed sashimi. Fish was fresh and tasted good. They even gave my best friend a small side of seaweed salad on the house for her birthday.
