I went to Andrea with long virgin hair. I was excited for a change and based on her work on Instagram I hoped she was the right stylist for me! If I knew she FILTERED all her pictures I would have done otherwise! In fact, I should have taken others advice that Andrea only has 1 style. Andrea will do what Andrea wants to do regardless of what pictures you show her, she works in her comfort zone. I indeed agree with this!
The day of my appointment Andrea took no more than 15 minutes on me, how do you attain the blends I showed you in 15 min?? Now I say 15, because Soon after I had two of her assistants working on me. How do we have 2 other individuals working with bleach who have yet to see what I was aiming for? I'm sure you know Andrea, that everyone's hair is different and if it takes one person 45 minutes to bleach it is most likely different for the next and the following. We are not the same!! Andrea came back to me when it was time to style my hair to then reveal my nightmare!
At the moment I didn't know how to express my concern, I paid $286 that day for coloring, layers(choppy layers that looked like my 4 year old niece had cut) and shampoos that I purchased from her. Almost $300! I payed almost $300 to have someone ruin my hair! That same week I messaged her and she had the audacity to say that she had done what I had showed her. I took a picture of my hair and sent it to her to show her that my hair did not look like her filtered picture at all! I even went in the salon unexpectedly that same week to show her in person what my hair looked like. She literally said and I quote, " it's just that you don't like it, your not used to it, this is a very popular color." Ok it might be very popular but this is not what I had asked for, therefore, of course I'm not going to like it!!?!! If you can't attain what is presented to you then be honest, tell the person! Don't try to drag people to the comfort of your work and expect them to like it. After constant pressuring she did not volunteer to fix it, because of course it was all over the place I'm sure, instead she volunteer to tone it down which I appreciated at the moment, however, after about a week I was on the same boat! Her attitude towards not wanting to accept her mistake was just wrong! I left it alone!
I have now gone to 2 other stylist who have REFUSED to work on my hair because my hair is at breaking point.
The first picture is what I wanted, the following were what she took, the last 2 (what my hair looked like). My hair now because no one will color it is that much worse! Don't let this be you! read more
