I made a hair color appointment with Vivian. Just to get my roots touched up with black color. I had told her a few times that I know black is hard to get out so she can wash it really good. Well, not only she did a sloppy job putting the hair color on where I asked her to remove the color off my forehead and on my ears, but after she washed it, there was still so much left over that when I would scratch my head, my fingernails would turn black. Inside my ears were all black! I told her that and she looked at me like she didn't care I said never mind. I blow dried my own hair right there and I just took off with it half wet. I took time off of work and wasted my time and gas just for the stylist to do a no show. I arrived at 9am on a Thursday for an appointment I booked weeks ago because the stylist wouldn't do weekends. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting before I was contacted by the stylist via IG (because that's all they wanted to communicate on). She cancels due to not having a sitter? Unprofessional. I ask if another one of the 3 stylists could do a simple tone and no one could help. Shocking... don't go here unless you want someone to waste your time. Mind you one of the stylists was just sitting there blow drying and styling herself. Not having my instagram information seems to be a personal problem because that's the method of contact YOU choose to put in your policy -YOU should've put it down on your calendar when we booked. I handled myself graciously over DMs but all I wanted to do was cry and get angry. Vivian didn't attempt to rebook me for a later date that would work with my schedule nor offered any compensation for wasting my time. Never request Tammy at the Loft she is the most unprofessional stylist I have ever come across, made an appointment with her will in advance, she requested photos of my hair several days in advance which I sent to her, sent what I wanted and she sent me text message after 5:30 the night before my appointment saying find another hair stylist to do your hair. This was the only place available to get a hair cut as I wanted one quickly and didn't want to wait more than a week for appointment at 3 different local salons I called before this one. Long story short got a long layered haircut by Priscilla. Not my first time doing long layers. At the time my hair was styled pretty but once I washed it you could see how uneven and choppy my haircut was. A different hairstylist offered to fix my hair cause she said all my layers were at the tip and that the person who cut my hair should not have had to razor my tips. She said in doing so it contributed to ruining my hair so she advised I not use heat on my hair for a while. Anyhow, I had put a deposit for hair coloring but changed my mind. I called 5 days in advance to cancel and she said there was a no refund policy which I was not told about. She did say I could get another haircut and styling. Went in today for a style. Showed her a picture of what I wanted. Not what I got. So pretty much the 60.00 deposit I gave her that she didn't refund paid for my styling today. All she did was blow dry it and quickly run a curling iron through it. So maybe hair color is her thing but not cutting or styling. My wife had paid for a ombré hairstyle & the hairstylist that did her hair decided to do her own thing & not go by with the client had specified. A few days later when we had noticed her hair color was not even, we had reached out to my friend at the time(Benson) that referred us to the stylist by the (Sami) which I don't recommend! I had let him know through messages that my wife's hair was uneven & he ( Benson) responded with a VERY rude comment calling my wife a bitch because he had said hi to her not knowing my wife's personality & she being a shy person she is he mentioned she was a bitch and she will never sit at his chair because of her not acknowledging his comment. I made an appointment with Vivian. Asked for a quote. I sent her the current status of my hair, along with a picture of the desired look. Btw I live in Fresno and drove to Visalia. I sit in her chair and we were going over the color I wanted. She then touches my hair and says she can't do my hair.I asked why? She said because my hair was too dry! Which was very shocking to me. I have never been told this since I've been doing my hair for 30 years. I explained to her that it probably looked like that because it had been 7 months since I've had my hair done. I asked if she could at least add highlights to the healthy part of my hair, so it looks like I got my hair done. She said yes and than she said no. My hair was too dry! It was just too weird. I don't know what was up her butt! I was really in shock. I personally think she is not confident in her work is why she turned me away. She mentioned I had dry hair. My hair was not that bad! I've seen plenty of her before and after pictures, which look way worse than mine. I did allow her to cut my hair since I was there and she cut soo much off and didn't say a word through the whole process. All I can say is I had a very rude and unprofessional experience with her and I would never go back to her again! If your hair is slightly dry. Forget it!!Don't waist your time. I called The Loft yesterday and left a message stating I wanted on appt for a short hair cut and since I've never been there I requested someone with experience with shortcuts (I wanted a pixie). Samantha called me back and we discussed what I wanted and she said she felt confident she could do what I was asking for. I also sent her pics of the haircut I wanted. She gave me an appt for today at 5:00. At around 1:30 today I texted her about washing my hair and she texted back. I show up for my appointment three minutes before 5:00. I walked in and there was only one stylist working on someone's hair. I told her my name and that I had an appointment with Samantha at five, she responded, "that's me" and smiled. I was surprised that it looked like she had just started doing highlights on the client in front of her. Samantha didn't say anything so I sat down thinking that it was going to be just a few highlights but I waited and waited and after a long 30 minutes of waiting I got up and told Samantha that my appointment was at 5:00 and I had been waiting for thirty minutes and needed to be in Tulare at 6:30 and couldn't wait any longer (my time is also valuable and couldn't waste it anymore). She looked up at the clock and said "sorry". I asked if she took walk-ins and she said she would be back in the salon on Tuesday. I asked that because Samantha either took a walk-in or doble booked. I wasn't rude but felt irritated because she wasn't a professional. Maybe I was saved from getting a horrible haircut ‍ I will definitely never go back to that place, first and last time I step in The Loft.
