This is a review for the extraordinary Elizabeth Alvarado…read more I went to her to get a Brazilian, my legs and underarms waxed as a treat to prepare for a wedding weekend. I had never had a Brazilian (or even a bikini wax) before and was very nervous. She immediately put me to ease with her calm and knowledgeable demeanor. Elizabeth is tremendously kind and friendly. Her station is clean and private and she is careful to maintain the best sanitary conditions, which I appreciated greatly. She talked me through all the steps and frequently asked how I was doing and if I needed a break. We had a lovely conversation as if she and I were having coffee, not waxing. I doubt if just any esthetician can do that! When we were done Elizabeth advised me on ways to keep everything smooth like making a scrub with coconut oil - my new favorite moisturizer! I honestly thought getting a Brazilian would be a one time thing, but things really do feel cleaner. I just had my second with Elizabeth and she is the only esthetician I want to see! She truly is amazing and I'm grateful to have found her.

My child and I had one of the worst nail salon experiences we've ever had. Ever since this salon…read morechanged management and its name, the quality has gone completely downhill. I had been a loyal customer for years when Nina owned the salon, but I will never return under the new management. From the moment I called to make an appointment, I should have take that as the first red flag. The female employee taking the call struggled to understand what I was saying, even after I repeated myself several times. She never even asked for my name before "scheduling" the appointment and told me she'd be doing my nails in replace of Nina. The male technician who sits at the front right of the salon at table #8 was extremely rough with both my child and me. While doing my child's nails, he made several of her fingers bleed and then aggressively pressed oil into the cuts instead of acknowledging what happened. She was in pain the entire time she said. When he did my fill, the experience only got worse. He repeatedly drilled and filed into my skin and underneath my nails, put his long fake finger nail into my cuticles multiple times breaking the acrylic from my skin, gripped my hands and fingers painfully tight, and constantly jerked and pulled my hands around. He also couldn't understand what I was asking for, which led to an argument with another employee before he literally yanked my hand away from her. By the time I left, my fingers, hands, nail beds, and even my joints were aching from how rough he had been. My child and I sat in the car afterward and cried. I've never left a nail appointment feeling scared, sore, and upset before. It was an awful experience, and we will never return or recommend this salon to anyone. If you choose to go here, I would strongly advise avoiding the male technician who sits at the front of the salon at table #8.

It's actually a much bigger space than it looks from the outside. From what I can tell, the independent stylists in all do their own thing - there wasn't a receptionist in the day I went, so I don't know if they do walk-ins and that kind of thing.
