I called ahead and requested an appointment ahead of time to ensure my nails could be done. Lee Nails #2 is located in a tiny strip center just down the street from Main St. in Royal Oak. Parking is FREE and plentiful. While the color selection is limited I ended up finding the perfect color for my nails. I got a pedicure and dip powder on my nails and I couldn't be more happy. Andy, did my nails and I loveeee them! The technician was extremely professional and very down to earth. Normally, I don't like to talk at a nail salon but seeing as it was by appointment only and I was the only person in the shop at the time I started a conversation that turned out to be great. I really cannot say enough about this place. Not only do my hands and feet look awesome, Andy was really kind and took great care of me. I will definitely be back! Thanks again.

They consistently take their time, pay attention to the details, and make sure you leave loving your nails. I also have to give a special shoutout to Mai, who does my nails every time. She is absolutely awesome, sweet, and always does such a great job! The salon itself is also so cute and relaxing. The dim lighting, pink accents, and really nice pedicure chairs with massage features make it such a comfortable experience. Every technician that has done my nails at Pearl's Nail Salon rushes! They have burned me and cut me on numerous occasions. Usually because they're talking to the person next to them and not paying attention. They never say they're sorry or even acknowledge it for that matter. I've had four different people in the last six months do my nails. Interestingly, enough, each nail tech applied the dip differently. And I mean a lot differently. From how many coats of polish they use to whether or not they put you under the lights to dry or have you air dry them. When questioned about it being different from previous nail techs, Each nail tech would talk bad about the one another and say that their technique was better. Two of the times in the last three months I've had five nails fall right off and they were my nails! They broke off because the nail tech put so many layers of dip on my nails they couldn't handle it. The straw that broke the camels back for me today was when they sent me three notices of what my appointment time was, today. I scheduled a 4pm appointment. At 2 PM they sent me an email and text that said my appointment was at 2 PM! Then I received another email and text shortly after telling me, my appointment was at 4 PM, then shortly after that I got a notice that said my appointment was at 5 PM. No one at the store was answering the phone. I called over 20 times. When someone finally answered, they told me my appointment was for 4pm and I should never follow the texts and emails. I should just go with what I scheduled or call the store. I explained to her how many times I had called the Salon and got no answer. She said oh well I need to cancel your appointment now because it's after four so you can call back and reschedule if I'd like to. Needless to say, I hung up on her. I'm not sure if this place can get any more unprofessional. I truly think they have forgotten who the customers are.

She was giving me their new candle massage with the wax and decided to use the nail file to flick the lit candle into the water basin my feet were in and missed and the candle landed straight on my leg and burned me. I understood that this was an accident so I wasn't too upset but then she proceeded to write up the full amount for the pedicure (80 dollars) and put it under my manicure techs cup so I couldn't see it and then she left for the day. I thought for sure she would have told the manager and given me a free pedicure (AT THE VERY LEAST). When I finally saw the bill I asked for the pedicure for free and when they called the owner he said he would only give me $30 off. I was so upset but really liked my nails on my hands so I paid the amount and tipped and left. The next day my burn looked worse and I couldn't believe they still made me pay. My husband was outraged and called and spoke with the manager who refunded me the $50 back and asked if she could bring me tumeric root. I guess I'm glad they gave me the full money for the pedicure back, but I've been coming here for so long and know them well so I figured they would be more apologetic or something. They are usually very skilled nail techs so I am sad this happened. Glad the manager took care of the refund but this should have been immediate.
