I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I had a terrible experience here because of the lady in the back that gives people there packages. I went to pick up my package that was delivered and she kept telling me it wasn't back there. So that means I had to leave a few times and come back, on different days; wondering why it's saying my package was delivered, yet the lady keeps telling me it's not there. After returning back here a few times, something told me to ask someone else, something didn't add up, my intuition guided me away from that lady. TELL ME WHY MY package was back there the whole time, another employee got it for me and she was as upset as I was when I told her what happened. This lady wasted so much of my time for NO APPARENT REASON! Also I'm paying for a po box and there have been packages returned to sender for no good reason, so in general I haven't had a good experience owning a box here. On the positive side, the employees at the front desk are generally pretty awesome in my experience, including that young lady that helped me finally retrieve my package. read more

I went in to complete my daughter's passport, and despite the posted hours clearly stating that walk-ins are accepted until 4:30 PM, they refused to help me. I wasn't able to schedule an appointment past 1:30 PM since my daughter is in school, so a walk-in was my only option. Unfortunately, they turned us away because the mailing line was "more important." Very disappointing experience and poor customer service -- the policy should match what's actually being practiced. I waited over a week for this, and I drove over an hour to meet with her mother to get this done just to be turned away. read more

I give them double 00.forstars...they are horrible..first of all they never ever answer their phones..you have to go down in person and thats unacceptable.I have complained 4 times to USPS.they in turn contact Riverview and then they email me back stating the same old crap..we have 4 lines plus lobby being filled..HORSECRAP!!!.I went down there 1 morning at 830 when they open..guess what? nobody was in lobby and I purposely called and still no one picks up. Would give them zero stars if I could. Every single time- it really doesn't seem to matter what time of the day it is- their self service kiosk drop box is never available to receive packages. Some of us work odd hours and can't come it and stand in a long line. Having an operable- able to receive package drop box would be great. This situation seems to be a chronic problem. read more

I stopped in here to pick up a package that, for some reason, the post office could not deliver. A day earlier, USPS delivered a package to my mail box but a 2nd package was held. The online tracking said the package was at my local post office but offered no other information. No note was left in my mailbox as to why. I went into this location, hoping it was the right one, since it was my closest post office. I waited in a long line for nearly 45 minutes to talk to the 1 person that was handling package pick-ups. Eventually, I got to the window. Since I had no proof anything, except for the online tracking, this employee took my phone and disappeared for a while. A little weird. Then, returned the phone and closed the window and was gone for almost 10 minutes. The employee came back with my package and said it was somewhere out on a truck. There was never a mention of the package being re-delivered. All that to say that the USPS is what you expect it to be. Mostly inefficient, poorly organized, slow and a place I don't want to have to go back to. read more

unreal! I forwarded my mail via online USPS Riverview as I was staying with my daughter for a couple months who was going through a miserable divorce. This carrier did not forward my mail but rather decided to mark my mail as "vacant- undeliverable" returning all my first class mail to sender! Unbeknown to me this continued even after my return, and I wouldn't have known if not for a friend contacting me and saying she sent me something but it was returned to her marked as stated above. I emailed, I called and spoke with someone there and finally after finding out it was STILL happening as packages ordered were being returned to sender(s), I physically went to the PO and spoke with someone who assured me this would stop and my account was being marked as deliver mail immediately. if you go on vacation, have someone pickup your mail, cause this carrier is unreliable! I won't even go into the number of times mail has been delivered to the wrong address, even with my house number clearly on my mailbox and clearly visible on the front of my house. read more

Almost considered giving them more stars because the manager that handles package pickup is nice to me and my kids but she can be so rude to others, and she's lazy. I had two packages that were set to arrive on the same day but I got a notice in my mailbox that neither one would fit (and they don't come down my road) so I had to pick BOTH up. No problem. I show up the next morning and they only have one of my packages and suddenly the other one is lost. Terrible organization, if I'm honest. I requested that they mark it as lost so I can reorder the item without having to take a loss on funds and she wouldn't mark it. She had me write my name and phone number down but no calls about my package. And now my 3 year old is devastated that he didn't get his new (and only) shoes. Going down to 1 star, is there something lower? My mail is lost and causing massive problems. I gave them the change of address form and everything else they required in person the day before I suddenly had to move. I was told everything was fine. Sidenote: I lived in a new neighborhood and everyones mail was already screwed up because the builder and usps were arguing over box assignment numbers and had to re-do them, so much stupid! So 6 months later I get a collections notice online on an acct only to find out that my mail was still not only going to the last address but also the previous & closed po box before that. Seriously! I called this office where my po box was located and had been closed out over 6 months prior, told them the issue and was told I would receive a call back. That was 6 weeks ago. I cannot even get anyone to answer the phone here either. So much incompetence. Lost mail. Delinquent messed up bills that I did not even know about because of lost mail. Huge problems created because they cannot even update an address. I found out 6 months after the fact, that they sent a letter to my old address to verify that I was moving and it sat in an empty mailbox for months! Why would they even do that when I literally went into the post office and changed my address right in front of them with the next days date per their instructions and was told everything was in order. usps is a dinosaur that needs a major overhaul because they are screwing up peoples lives. I came here to pick up my mail. I went on vacation for over 2 months and came back to see how full my PO Box was. No surprise, the box was very full and I also had boxes and more letters in the back waiting for me. Luckily, I came in time or else they would've dumped my stuff. magazines were purchased with pay pal account on ebay. seller requested for signature (if it has a sig, pay pal won't do a refund for not delivered status for buyer) a month passed, no package. i messaged seller, was informed package was attempted. oh really? i'm always home plus why not a notice left in box? called this post office. yes item was still there. do i want it delivered tmrw? yes, i stated, tell them to ring my door bell and get a signature, it is required by seller. in the afternoon, i walk outside to check my plants. package is leaning against my door, announcing to strangers its presence. not to the side, no. can't be bothered. kicker is no ringing my bell. really? no signature request? really? this is a job this person gets paid for and is blatantly negligent. this seller paid extra to require a signature. the seller is due a refund for that extra charge from this post office. the next day, today i call to speak with the manager about this haphazard approach-no first attempt, i don't believe it cause no post card, no ringing bell, i was june all day, no asking for signature though i clearly asked them in the phone yesterday to get my signature and that i will be home. it also states a signature required in the package. the CS supervisor Roddy looks into it, he indicated he sees a signature. it was FAKE. delivery person was so lazy, FAKED my signature. if this item was stolen from my door, with this FAKE signature on it, i would be out my refund with pay pal. FAKING someone signature is fraud. employed, getting paid and is negligent is handling others people's property, commits fraud and tampering with paypal procedure by this staff member-appalling. some have zero diligence. why work in postage delivery? do something else for heavens sake. do yourself a favor and do other people a favor and don't take a job you don't give a chicken butt about. should not be getting paid for creating a problem for others. postage tampering is forbidden by law. a staff tampering-wow. read more

Our family uses Informed Delivery and we were expecting a package to be delivered. It said it was delivered "In/At Mailbox" on Feb. 22, 2022. It was never delivered to our mailbox. I submitted a lost package claim right away because we have had problems with neighbors stealing our mail. I've tried calling the local post office number numerous times and I left a note for the mail person, which was torn down and new mail was put into our box, without the package we were expecting. They don't pick up their local number (813) 672-4562. I have a case number for them to "help resolve the issue", but how will they resolve someone stealing our mail?! read more

This is straight up the worst post office ever. Every carrier out of here is so lazy. They will mark a package as delivered but will return it back to the post office for you to take time out of your day to go pick up. Then the lines are unbearably long & you can see other employees looking miserable and not trying to jump on the other register to help. I drive all day sometimes for work errands & if you have to go in to the lobby for assistance this Post Office has always been quicker than the other 4 that are typically within my days route. I only gave 4 starts because the kiosk at this location doesn't always work & they only have one kiosk. I am a big on DIY kiosk. Also they need an additional drive up mailbox. Theirs is always so full that mail comes out. (Of course that is probably more user error than post office as people just don't pay attention) They also have a passport office at this location, you can go online or call for an appointment & they are pretty quick & efficient. read more

Had a package shipped from the UK and it failed to be delivered 3 times. 2/3 times someone was home doorbell never rang. Post office calls and told me to come to the office by 4:30pm to pick up the package. I go to the post office and it's empty. Called the number and no answers. I asked a male attendant to help me with process of returning an item to the manufacturer because I wasn't sure of how to package it. He pointed me in the direction of boxes and told me to come back. Then when I come back the woman tells me I can't use priority tape with that box. No one explained that to me. I wasted 20-30 minutes and had to go to UPS instead to get what I needed done. I'm trying to be a fan of Snailmail, but the post office just doesn't help itself out. This particular one is old and dingy, but have all you need. And there is always a line. Staff are ok, not overly friendly and few smiles, but I always find them helpful and friendly enough. The cost of mailing anything is ridiculous. We went to mail 2 pounds of coffee to our daughter in CA and it cost over $15. That's more than the coffee cost !!! Sorry to hear the P.O. is in trouble, and mail as we've always known it may one day cease to exist, but with prices like this, you will never win customers back. This place is always busy and to make matters worse they are so slowww, I get that people here (Florida) are generally friendlier but Please stop BS'ing with the clerk more than 30 seconds after you completed your transaction. People have places to go and we don't need to hear what you and billy ray did the night before. I had two packages that were supposed to be delivered on the same date. My first package was not delivered, but stated 'delivered at 6:56am' and then later updated to 'held at post office - customer request'. I never requested anything. The second package delivered at around 3pm was delivered and I had no issues. Makes you wonder especially since both should have come from USPS. Both were from the same company... I am beyond pissed as I want my package. Oh and don't bother calling the number because all you will get is a busy signal. I now have to leave work early to inquire about my package and why 'customer request' was put without my acknowledgement. Don't put delivered and then say I requested something when I did not. I want to give them the benefit and hope they deliver it today, but I doubt they will since 'customer request' is on there. I definitely don't want my package being sent back to the company (like they did with someone else)! So I am trying to be proactive. read more

I wanted to give Fran a raving review! She went above and beyond for me to help track down my package! By mistake it was sent to my old address in my husbands name. He of course didn't forward his mail, as I did. So it could not be forwarded on to us. She personally saved the package and allowed my husband to pick it up for me! Little did she know this was a personal gift I had made for a friend who has recently suffered a loss of a fur baby. I cannot thank Fran enough! So we dropped off 5 small packages on Monday inside the dropbox. Well 4 of them have been scanned in and already moving in the system but one is still saying not scanned and USPS is waiting for it. I tried to talk to them at the location and they are telling me they never received it and there is nothing they can do. It was placed inside the box inside your building but yet it magically grew legs and left?!? How can you get 4 out of the 5 scanned and miss one??
