It's hard to rate a post office because each experience can be different. I have visited this post office dozens of times over the years. I have been helped by some MISERABLE/RUDE workers and I have had some AMAZING/FRIENDLY workers. My most recent trip was very pleasant but I've been helped by the same person in the past and they were super grumpy. Who knows... they could have had assh*le customers that day, which put them in a bad mood. Time of day and time of year affect the experience at the post office as well. Coming midweek in the morning during August is completely different than the week before Christmas. The building itself is kind of dumpy. There is an area along the side which sells some boxes and tape, which is underutilized and looks "blah". Overall, I don't long to come to the post office but when I do, I try to make it short and sweet. read more

I received notification that a package was delivered. A key to a parcel box was placed in my mailbox. However, when I opened the parcel box there was no package. When I went to the post office to report it I received an apology that seemed more like, " good luck, but your package is gone". I will never use this post office when making purchase. read more

This location is great! The workers are very quick and attentive. They answer phone calls too and are very helpful. I've had to have packages held and it's never been a problem. When packages were deemed lost, they were able to find them. Definitely the best PO in the area. read more

Tried to charge me $4 for a piece of tape. I was forced to go there to return a Amazon package, the tall dark manly looking broad wouldn't tape the label to the package and said i'd have to buy a piece of tape. WTF! If I could give zero stars I would. This post office is HORRIBLE! You don't get your daily mail and you never receive your packages. The manager, Kimberly, if you file a report, oh she'll make the initial call to you, but don't expect a call back or follow up or for your lost package to be found. It's almost like they're stealing peoples packages at that location. No one cares and no one does anything! It's unfortunate, because our tax dollars pay for their horrible customer service! I should've paid attention to the reviews, this post office really is the worst and I don't even understand why it exists. Such beautiful building with shit service. The self-serve kiosk was not working. Nobody around to ask for help. Waiting by pressing this bell, overhearing the people in the back purposely ignoring anyone who came in, why was the front door even open? I couldn't drop off my package with a postage that was already paid for...the drop box location inside was locked, to where you couldn't drop off the box for shipping...what's the point of it the self serve drop box? I doubt the people in the back even knew it was locked, mistakenly. What a mess. No, I never did accomplish my goal of dropping of this small box via self serve at this "opened" post office. This place is awful. I would literally drive to another city for their post office. The people have the worst attitudes on planet earth. I understand customers are rude but maybe they wouldn't be so rude if the staff didn't treat them like they are stupid. This place honestly needs to work on being more helpful and patient with customers, ESPECIALLY when I'm walking in with my baby and trying to do multiple things at once. Not only was the actual post office bad but the service outside of the office like delivering mail. Recently a medication an online pharmacy shipped to me was not delivered because "there was not a secure place to drop off the package". I've had nothing but problems with this USPS branch since I moved here. Starting with getting the key and hold mail when I first move in to all the issue with every time there is a signature required deliver I am always home and paying closely to my Ring doorbell I never get an alert at the door and then guess what lo and behold apparently a delivery was "attempted" and "notice left". After losing out on $300 last yr to their incompetent workers losing my package, they have officially broke the camel's back today. On 6/27/18, I paid for my mailbox lock to be replaced & mail to be held at the post office. I tried to pick up my mail TODAY (7/3/18) to 1st be given the wrong person's mail & then to be told that the mail carrier has been holding the wrong mail. Therefore, I have NO access to any of my mail. I have to mail pkgs from the post office often for my small business. The staff are always energetic and helpful, bending over backyards to find the most efficient and cheapest way for me to mail various weights and sizes. They strive to be friendly, so I always feel good when I leave. Today Alex picked me out of the long line( which moves fast!) and showed me how to get postage for my pkg using the self-help kiosk! So fast and easy, but I would not have tried it on my own. I like doing business here. ps. One of the posts above complained about the manager Kimberly. While she may not be the most jovial or outgoing if the team, she is there EVERY time I go, is very knowledgeable about the best way to mail anything, and has always been helpful when I get seen by her. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Went in to send out a parcel post yesterday and went to the counter. Told Her I wanted to send this package and needed a receipt. She told me to go to the kiosk and send it myself. Then went to the kiosk and a woman was taking forever. When I was finally able to use the machine, had trouble with it. Went to ask a question and the woman behind the counter said to press this then press that. Well by the time I got back to the kiosk there were 3 people in front of me. Got so frustrated I left and went to a private mailboxes facility where they took my package AND gave me a receipt. There were 5 employees sitting behind that desk doing nothing but babbling and laughing and talking with customers as they weren't doing anything but telling people to go to the kiosk to do their own. Why do we need post offices?? Why do these people get paid to tell us to do it ourselves?? Workers behind the counter can't print receipts?? Just plain laziness!! I have had 2 packages not delivered in the past two weeks. One was to be delivered on Wed. 16th and has been lost for a while (It had tracking till it was lost). I received a notice of "not available" for delivery for a package today (after 5:00 pm ,of course, so I had to wait a day to complain) while we have been home all day and available if a delivery was attempted. This problem occurred last year and after complaining something was done and it cleared up until recently. I know they pay the delivery people well so it is apparently due to someone not wanting to do the job properly and sending in false "attempted to deliver" notices. read more

This location excepted it on June 29 at 4:14 pm. the receiver still has not receive it. Its July 23rd.... I asked to speak with a manager. I filed for a change of address online and per the website it said wait 7-10 business days. Mind you we moved 5 minutes from our old address. But sure. On the 10th business day, I emailed the USPS website contact us button since it was night time and asked where the heck our mail was. They replied 2 days later, copied and pasted what the website said (to wait 7-10 days). Hello? I can read the website. I don't need anybody telling me what is already written on the site. So, they do not know where our mail was. On the 12th business day my husband goes to the post office and asks for our mail. Lady in the front says we have to wait 2-3 weeks. 3 weeks!!! Husband asks her, can you please check in the back if our mail is there? Lady replies: "No it is not there." (didn't even bother to check). Again, we are sure it is there since we only moved 5 minutes away from our old address. On the 3rd week I go to the post office and asked the guy in the pick up section. He goes to the back and brings me all my mail and packages. Then asks me if I have a key to the mailbox. Hello? I have had it since 3 weeks ago. Then he said okay "I will tell her to start delivering your mail." OMG?!? At this point, I am at a loss of words. read more

This is the WORSE POST OFFICE IN TEXAS! Always losing your packages, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, UNEDUCATED AND CAN NEVER SOLVE YOUR MAIL ISSUES! There's never a supervisor available, the mail carrier should've been fired months ago! Someone needs to come in and fire the whole staff and start over, because this is a consistent problem! I placed my mail on hold for a week, and they still put it in my mailbox, and now that the hold was to be released and forwarded to a new address, they have no clue where my mail is right now! I would give this location no stars if I could. I don't know where to begin but I guess with the latest. Amazon shipped an item and it arrived in Houston on 7/20 at 11 a.m. and transferred to Pearland at 3:43 p.m. I called Amazon to verify that I would receive this package on Saturday 7/21 as this was a birthday present. Amazon assured me it would arrive on Saturday 7/21 with no problem, etc. (Even after I told them all the horror stories with this post office.) On Saturday morning I called Amazon again just to double check. Amazon said I will get the package but it could be as late as 8 p.m. NEVER ARRIVED !!! No One Came To The Door, NOTHING!! Today I see that on Amazon it shows it was delivered to a "parcel locker". This is a table and chairs so of course will not fit in a parcel locker, PERIOD. I called Amazon and they did a 3 way call with someone from USPS and they are launching an investigation. (sure) Now just last week I had an important package that was sent to me "signature required". This cost the shipper additional $$ but wanted to guarantee I would get it. The item was never brought to me for signature but was shown as "left with individual". Outright LIE !! I checked my mailbox and it was left in there instead. This is not the first time I have had issues with missing packages, mail that is not mine, mail that does not arrive, etc. Save yourself the hassle and drive to the Pearland location on Walnut or go to Friendswood.
