1 of 3 USPS similar reviews. This is not my usual SL USPS,…read morebut I was in the area and Googled the closest one to me at the time; what a fail. Why is there a USPS in the middle of nowhere?!?! Part of the reason I came was just to see if Google was wrong, lol. Quality/Quantity - Keep in mind I am grading on a curve... The low rating is due to the comparison with all the other Post Offices that I frequent... See other reviews; Reno (3 Stars) and Alameda (4 stars). The lobby is not open 24/7. I guess I am spoiled with my Alameda and Reno post offices. I made the mistake on the 1/20/25 (a holiday) of trying to drop off letters (5 inches worth; I know, due to my travels, I have not checked my mail for a long time) and a package in 3 SL post offices. Atmosphere - Decent size lobby, again too bad they were closed. No homeless here today, but I am imagining that is why they are closed during non business hours? The other two SL USPS that I went to today had homeless people. Plenty of parking since this is a hidden location... One way in and out. Well it is supposed to be... Service - 2, barely good enough. Not even any self service... Price - N/A, see their websites. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1971 (formed in Washington DC) with your $80B in revenue. Much controversy about your profitability or lack of it. This is an "independent" agency of the executive branch of our US government. You have an amazing history dating back to 1775, but I will not go into that here.

Do not expect to be in/out quick in this location…read more The postal workers are nice and try to do the best they can but usually there is only one person working at a time. Why? I have no idea. I've been there many times where they or customers are raising their voices at each other and I could def understand their frustrations. I've been lucky in that I only have to mail out prepaid packages but the complaints I've heard while standing in line gives me enough pause to consider going to any other location for anything else.

Instead, they placed the packages and labels on the back counter to be packaged later. This has happened to me before, and my packages ended up getting mixed up, which is why I made the request in the first place. What made the experience worse was the response from the employees. The woman assisting me and a tall older man with white hair behind the counter laughed and made dismissive comments such as, "Oh, come on! We're UPS, we know what we're doing!" Regardless of where you work, mistakes can happen, and customers should be treated with respect when they're simply trying to avoid a problem. It's not unreasonable for a customer to want a little peace of mind, especially when mistakes do happen. I took my other package and left. For reference it was not busy at all. I was the only customer in the store at the time.

For whatever reason people drive the wrong direction in the parking lot regularly. Small post office. Usually only one person working here. I suppose you could complain its small or just be thankful that it exists in the first place. If you have a PO box here it is unavailable for access unless the whole place is open for business. I've seen other post offices where you could access your PO box for hours sightly longer. The whole post office is closed for lunch. This is something you only have to deal with because it is so small. During the Christmas holidays be sure and send out your mail early. Like I said - one man team and the line can get krazy. San Lorenzo might be a better option during the holidays.

This time, he entered the wrong country. D: The package was sent out over a month ago, and my friend still hasn't received it yet. Luckily, I still had the receipt, checked it, and found that a different country was written on it. I usually go to a different post office, but their system was down that day, so I went to this one again. He's always on his phone and even told me to hold on to pick up a call. While I try to be patient and understand that it might have been an important call, judging by the other comments, I don't think so. Now, trying to recall the situation, I don't think he even asked me to verify the address. However, the package and the form I had to fill out were definitely correct because I had handwritten it. I called customer service, and they were super friendly. Unfortunately, all I can do now is wait for that country to send it back to me or eventually deliver it to the correct country.
