I doubt anyone at the post office reads these, but I just wanted to give a shout-out to Logan. I never post reviews but I was so pleasantly surprised by the service I received from Logan. Background: I submitted an online inquiry at usps.com about a package that I needed to be redelivered (and was having issues online). I receive the canned auto responder email and then a second boilerplate "you're package is in transit" email and I thought that was all the information I'd get (and was pretty frustrated). A couple hours after I submitted my inquiry, I got a call from the Eastmont office. It was Logan following up, and I asked him if he could help me with redelivery and he was super helpful and addressed my issue right away. I told him that I was surprised that anyone would return my call and he replied that he tries to respond to everyone. You probably won't see this, Logan, but you are awesome at your job and I thank you so much for following up when others might not have. You are A+ and they are lucky to have you. read more

Several packages never get delivered even though they are marked as such. Post office told me someone must have stolen it off the porch, when i mentioned that i have cameras and usps wasnt even on our street when it was "delivered" she changed her speech to I need to go to the post office to find it. Had to argue with someone to look for any of my packages. They brought out the 'post master' who said "its usps policy to mark packages delivered if they are running behind so they dont mess up their quotas". Reported them and sacramento offices were supposed to investigate this. Nothing ever happend except they just straight up just dont deliver them now. Asked our mail carrier about it and she asked me if i knew what i ordered when i said it was toys. She pulled my missing package off her truck. Why maam? Were you going to keep it? read more

The customer service at this post office is non-existent. You are better off going to another location. Once in a great while, it is fine--depending on who is working. But it is very hit-and-miss and the satisfaction rate is less than 50% so I would recommend not to waste your time and find a different post office. read more

Ghetto fabulous post office. Eastmont post office supposed to be open at 8:30 it's almost 9:30 there's a line of people's and they haven't opened the doors. We can hear people behind the wall talking, gossiping and cussing -- only after customers knocked on the wall a woman says they'll open at 9:40. The only good thing at this location... is the employee named Maria at the counter. This location used to have a few good mail carriers but there must be a relatively new person taking over our mail address route because our street and apartment complex have been missing quite a few packages lately...and yes, I hold management responsible - Manager: Justin. He really needs to hold these mail carriers accountable for their actions - otherwise, if they don't respect the mail and packages - then they probably shouldn't be mail carriers representing the government - and of course, you will start seeing a LOT of claims...which is unacceptable- because these could have been avoided. I do not want to make another trip to this usps local office (unless I'm being helped by Maria) because the others seem ignorant on providing solutions and knowing what is excellent customer service... I once saw a line with 6 people... and only Maria was there ...but she serviced all of us AND helped me with a complicated situation. Of course I asked for her name because I was impressed by her attitude and customer service. And the ONLY reason that I am giving this place 2 stars is because of her ... unfortunately everything else is below standard. It's a sad day when I would rather wait 30 minutes to speak to an agent on the phone (ask usps) than deal directly with incompetence and ignorance at this location. This 5 star review goes out to our postal worker Xavier...not so much this particular location since I've had few positive experiences there when picking up my mail. However, Xavier is one of our regular postal delivery guys and he is AMAZING! Always positive and super friendly even in these crazy times were living in! He's gone above and beyond and was so nice to bring us mail that was left at the post office from previous missed deliveries (our mailbox was broken into and have not been able to receive mail until it's fixed). It's truly been a pleasure having him as our postal worker and I hope he gets that fat raise he deserves for being so awesome at his job! This is the worst postal service I have had experience. The person delivering packages on our route is absolutely irresponsible lazy moron. After I have already gone to the post office several times to make a complaint, nothing has change. The delivery person instead of delivering packages to the front door, just keeps throwing them on the top of my hot garage roof. This includes packages of prescription medicine. Today I went again to the post office to talk to the postmaster. Unfortunately he was out to lunch. I left my phone # and he was supposed to call me back within couple of hours. Three hours later, nothing. I tried to call the post office three times and there is no answer. I never have an issue with ups, Amazon, or FedEx than again the are private enterprises not subsidized by the government with our taxpayers money. read more

This review is for Maria who was working the counter at the post office when I went a few weeks ago. I had a package that tracking said was out for delivery, and later said it had returned to the post office. Confused, I drove over to the post office to see if they had it and why it hadn't been dropped off with the rest of my mail. Maria spent a good 15 minutes hunting it down in the back and realized why it hadn't been delivered-- my address had been transcribed wrong by the sender. It seems as though this post office goes through it's high and lows. During it's highs, mail gets delivered at a reasonable hour and packages are delivered on time and treated well. At it's lows, mail carriers aren't delivering mail until the dead of night and are throwing packages over gates. And the thing is I could live with this inconsistency if they just ANSWERED THE PHONE. They refuse to engage in any type of customer service or deal with any complaints. You can call the number multiple times in a row and each time just have the line cut out for NO REASON. It'll be a miracle if I could get someone to actually pick up the phone and speak. read more

When I lived in the area, I never had any issues with this post office except for one occasion where I had to pick up a package because they failed to deliver it. But ever since I moved, I've been having some issues because my change of address was ignored. I had a package accidentally get addressed to my former residency and they still delivered my package instead of holding it at the post office or forwarding it like they were supposed to, for the change of address request that i had to pay money for. I opened a request to find out what happened, and the supervisor marked the case as resolved and that they worked out a resolution with me, when no one got in contact with me and I hadn't spoke to anyone since opening the case. I tried calling again, and one sentence into saying why I was calling the operator hung up on me. Tried calling again in case the connection dropped, and she answered the phone but immediately hung up. Then when i tried calling again they just let the call ring until it stopped. I had to call the main customer service phone number for USPS again to open a new case since my issue was not resolved. Weeks later the supervisor finally calls me today and was pretty rude. She said they did their job and tried to retrieve my package twice but failed to retrieve it. How is that doing anything? Should have left a note on the gate asking for the resident at that address to leave the package out for them to retrieve since it's a gated property. It just blows my mind how difficult it is to get any help from this particular post office or speak to someone who is actually helpful, or speak to anyone at all in general. Not someone who makes up all these excuses and claims they did their job and then question me about other things. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere to a different post office if you have the option to. I've lost money now because of the poor job this post office has done. read more

Hands down, this is the worst post office in the United States of America. We, along with other neighbors, have had multiple packages missing or delivered late. Sure, the tracking number shows the package as being delivered but just one problem - we never received the package. Sure, you can try calling them to track down a package, but good luck getting anyone there to answer. They will literally pick up the phone and hang up on you, rather than take a message and call back. On more than one occasion, they mark a package as undeliverable as if my property is inaccessible. There is no lock on the gate There is no dogs There is a camera on my porch. And in 92 videos on April 11th, not one frame had a USPS person walking in front of my house. These people are using a code in the system to avoid significant repercussions of them failing to deliver packages and mail. I am seriously considering a private mailbox provider. read more

Why, oh why doesn't this Post Office force the Asian lady at the front window to retire?!?!? She is slow, she is extremely rude, and never prepared to conduct business. I have had several run-ins with her over the past three years over the same issue and it should be a clue when people see her at the window and either groan, or turn around and exit stage left. And to add insult today? I go in to buy a stamp..one single First Class stamp. After a nearly 15 minute wait (and I was second in line), I finally get to the window and she refuses to sell me said First Class stamp. Why? Because she had no change. No change for a $5 and no change for a $1 bill. Seriously? And so why are you open? Or at the very least, you could tell people in line that you have no change available for transactions, giving us the opportunity to not waste our time. The line is short but the wait is long.. I also haven't seen so much bullet proof glass since well.. never - no direct contact with the customer at all. You want to hand the post person a package - put it in the bullet proof lazy susan type turn style. I understand employees wanting to be safe but dang - really?! It seems like everytime I go in there there's only one person working the window and the line is long. I am yelping about this post office located at 8033 MACARTHUR BLVD in OAKLAND, California 94605-9991. This post office is located in east oakland. I fortunately have become a victim of this kind of "horse play" that has taken place behind the closed doors of the post office. We as consumers want to try and trust our post offices with our parcels and packages to make sure that they are delivered to our homes on time in good condition and safely. Unfortunately because of the environment/neighborhood it is not the best place to get your mail in the world. Actually; it is the worst post office that I have experienced while living in this county. Every time I go to this place to get my mail, the workers are always unfriendly, they look unhappy, their rude and anything else that you can think of. Im tired of it. A few times I have seen animal feces near and next to the shrubbery! Just recently they have put up gate. I have not been there since. But, I am positive that this has reduced some of those problems. So, in saying that. If you don't want to get treated like an outsider, don't move to the area because you are more than certain to encounter problems with your postal carrier and experience theft issues! Also, whenever I call. I can never get anyone on the telephone right away. It takes hours! They should hire someone specifically to answer the telephone. Its very unprofessional! Frankly, I have dealt with the matter for over a few years. I am sick and sicker of it? I mean. I cannot say that there has been one time or incident where I have not had to get a bad attitude with these postal workers. Inside they have a few permanent faces, but they recently just started hiring new faces. Its still not enough. Although, I usually get all my mail and packages. HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Don't expect to get mail delivered at 9pm at night, so my gate was locked, and no this was well after the holiday season, so.... Next morning found my mail, each letter individually stuffed into my chain link fence. Before that, mail was thrown into my front yard. Usual mail man is cool and diligent and courteous, but as of late, have not had mail delivered for days on end, when mail does come, new mail carriers leave gates wide open, deliver to the wrong addresses, my package, that has a tracking number has not been delivered and and is stuck on 'awaiting delivery' via their tracking website for days...i checked with Eastmont Post Office to see if it was there and the employee there told me that he spoke to the actual carrier and the carrier does not remember seeing the package...how tf have you not 'seen' my package when it has been scanned as 'awaiting delivery' by the very same carrier who was going to deliver it on two separate occasions on the same day???? i was immediately told to file a claim, no investigation offered...no other helpful advice given, Shady to say the least. Delivery noticed left on the ground of my front gate which was unlocked. Package could not be found in office after 20 minutes of waiting in line and asked to leave my phone number to call back when package is found， althought i said i don't mind to wait there，received attitube didnt apologized NOTHING ，NOTHING，they think it was my fault to giving them stress....It was the most funny story i have ever heard of the year. Too bad you can't give negative score or a minus score. That's what this location (USPS Eastmont Branch) deserves. Since I can't and I have to select a star rating in order to post this review, I'll have to opt for 1 star, but my real rating is thumbs down, negative 10. My partner gets an email alert that his package (which is very serious) was delivered at 7:42pm and it wasn't. We were home, sitting in the living room with the front door wide open. This has repeatedly happened over and over again. Both my partner and I have placed complaints and they do nothing, absolutely nothing about it. They still delivers the wrong mail to the wrong addresses constantly. They flat out don't care about doing their jobs correctly. We spoke with one of the postal carriers about this and all he could say is that we don't have a regular mail carrier and that no one likes this delivery route (which is on a hill on the main strip). There needs to people who value their jobs and want to do the best. We expect them to do their jobs right, the first time. read more

Sticky Fingers, I had two packages mailed to me here in Chicago from the Eastmont Station on November 13, 2013. I received one about 2 weeks later. As of January 1, 2014, my box is MIA. After numerous of calls and filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs no package. I clearly expressed to them that the box had pictures of my Aunt that had went on to Heaven, and I just needed to receive my package. My next move is to contact the postal inspectors. This is the worst post office ever. The workers inside the branch are rude and very unprofessional and the wait time in line is just terrible. The mail carrier is even worse. They never deliver my packages to my house instead they just leave an attempt of delivery notice due to my house not having a secure location to leave my package which is NOT true because we have our own front porch which isn't visible to the main straight. I had a package that was an attempted delivery on a Saturday when we weren't here and the driver never left a pick up slip. I had to back trace it through Fed-Ex to get the post office drop off number. I called and the post office was super helpful, tracked down my package and left it up front so it was very easy to pick up.
