Update 2024: I've ordered shipping supplies multiple times since my initial review was posted and have had NO ISSUES at all. I use the at home stamps (dot) com system and supplies are very easy to order off the app and are shipped free direct to my address. They have all arrived quickly. Hello I use this post office frequently. Most times I drop packages in the mailbox outside. Only going in if I really need too. I'm there about 2 to 3 times a week. On some occasions I have 1 year old son with me. He's super inquisitive like most toddlers, on Wednesday I went into the location. My packages were prepackaged I just needed them scanned in, I had two packages going overseas. While working with one customer service rep, I heard another making sounds of annoyance... to my surprise she was making them at my child who was touching the cards in the gift area... I let her know I would pick each card up and pay for any that we're damaged. She proceeded to tell me I need to (TEACH) my child to not touch things. This isn't her first time being rude. So I asked for corporate's number to file complaint. read more

USPS - Post Offices Near Me - New Castle, Delaware

Mail a Christmas present to my Aunt, and requested for her to sign for the package. Mail carrier signed her name and gave the package to an unknown person, I was told this was protocol during covid. My Aunt never got the package and I'm out of $150. Contacted the post office many times to get this issue resolved and just got the runaround. Please know that your package can be given to anyone! I also paid $3.85 for insurance and the claim was denied. I will never use priority mail again! This service is horrible! read more

There's a woman at the front named Pauline she's extremely rude and lazy. She has zero customer service skills and seems to hate her job. Management should look into this!...... Moments after writing this review I discovered that 3 years ago someone named Cris took a pic of the lady and made a review complaining about her as well! I like this post office. The lines are long and the parking lot small. But I like it because it has the APC system in place. This is the automated package center that lets you buy postage for packages, including Priority and Express packages. This lets me mail packages without going to the counter line or even when the counter is open. read more

Worst ever. Had live birds (when sent) on a Monday morning. Supposed to deliver Wednesday AM. Wednesday PM - no birds. Tracking info on internet has no record since 8am this morning. Beware if you have disability walking . Used the automated postal service in the lobby for a 16 x13 package and the package mail box would not open so I could drop the box off. Luckily this happened during day when the post office was open. Had to struggle and walk in to find one person waiting on many.. if the post office had been closed as a disabled person I would not have been able to mail my package. everything must be accessible to those with disabilities read more

For years the Post Office has been aware of two exact same addresses in the same zip code. The addresses are in different subdivisions, so we put that in our correspondence. They deliver to the wrong address constantly, it became worse when we tried to politely discuss the issue at the branch in New Castle. Very unprofessional. read more

FYI - Scammers are using New Castle for mail fraud. Change of address mail is being forwarded from places to New Castle. - In a small city, postal officers could be more alert. read more

I hardly ever use the post office anymore because I always have a bad experience. I went here to send a package and the guy scanned the wrong address (my address) to be sent. It was my brothers bday gift and it took a month to get to him. Not kidding!!! I can't even explain how badly the box and stuff inside it was damaged! This post office is not the fastest or the slowest in service. They are just average in getting customers in and out. My experience with customer service is usually pretty good. Unfortunately, February 4th I was furious with a clerk that was acting like a punk bitch. She looked at me and spoke to me in a tone that was meant for the streets not a place of business. Someone needs a new job or customer service training. I called to make a complaint about her to the 1800 number; I was advised that my complaint would be reviewed with a callback. No one at that location called me back about the incident. I am not impressed with this post office. read more

Even though this is the biggest post office in the area, they didn't have more counter clerks. So the line was long and slow. On the plus side, the clerks seemed okay and reasonably friendly. Still, I would try a smaller post office first in the hope that the line there is shorter. read more

I spoke with someone on the phone so I never actually went in the office. She was rude and very in helpful. I had mail 8 pieces of mail a month later none had made it to where they where supposed to go. I mail the from Newport. I called to find out what the problem was. A week later I received all piece of mail back saying they where undeliverable no reason. So I called again and the person taking the report gave both reports to the Newcastle on instead of Newport. Someone from Newcastle called me back two weeks later. She said that I needed to speak to Newport but would not transfer the complaint and she would not tell me who to speak to be it just list the 800 number. I do not live near Newport I was just in the area the day I mail the items. Then she said that it was to late anyway because it should have research earlier. I took them over 3 week to call me back. I understand that the person writing the request was to blame but she could have contact that person and let them know it was the wrong post office. Plus she was rude. I will never go to this post office if they can not even do there jobs. read more

You would think , that you could call the post office to file a complaint , such as , for the last 3 weeks I have not received my billing statements , I now need wonder who is getting them and how much ID theft protection , I am going to need to pay for , My listed , Quigley Blvd post office phone # gives me a tape recording for passport information , does not even consider or option to speak with a postal agent , I wonder , is that where my statements are going , Out of the country ?
